U Pie Company

The reviews for this little spot are all over the place! I like this spot overall. Here’s the not-​so-​great first: the prices for the portions. To be a little more fair, they could afford to lower them a tad bit from NYC levels, considering the location.
The great: I like the vibe. The service has always been attentive. The first time I came, the piada special made me very happy. During my second visit, we had the Eggplant Harissa Dip and Garlicky Chicken personal pizza.
The server was sweet enough to bump up the size of our pizza for us. That said, it was a bit too one-​note with the salt and the garlic. (I’d personally go for the Roasted Root Vegetables next time I returned)
But. That dip and that pita made it all worth it. Seriously — hands down, one of the best dips I’ve had in my life, period. And the pita, made fresh off the grill in front of us? Mmmm yes. YES. We went for seconds.

Supper yummy extra thin crust pizza with top notch ingredients. Cant wait to go back! Also tried calamari which was good and their ice creams are fabulous! In terms of service this place is also a 5 star rating. Gloria took care of us and was so patient and nice to my 2 screaming babies.

Stay AWAY! Unless you want to OVERPAY for a personal pizza. I wish somewhere it said that the pizza was a personal pie — for the prices I thought it would be at least equivalent to a NY medium.
FINE so I misread the size. But the pizza was disgusting — dripping in oil. If you’re gonna be that greasy at least throw in some napkins!
How a pizza place like this near NYC where we make the greatest pizzas is beyond me.

Ordered some pizzas, Caesar Salads and wings. Pizzas were good. Salad was good. The wings showed up like the picture I took. They were black and smokey. Had a faint hot sauce taste but with a burnt flavor. To me these feel like they were cooked, sauced and then fried again while sauced. Disappointing.

Ordered delivery. Yikes. Arrived leaking and dripping. Shrimp scampi w linguine too salty. Mussels not enough. No bread. No Parmesan. No nothing. You get exactly what you order. Nothing else.

Not so great. Fellow Unilocalers got this one wrong. Pizza is just eh and nothing to write home about.
Should have known something was up when we were the only people in the restaurant on a Saturday during prime time.
Plenty of better options in the neighborhood. Save your carb cheat day for somewhere else.

Everything is made fresh. Delicious pizza and really nice staff! The margherita pizza is so good. Definitely recommend it.

I definitely cannot get enough of the margherita pizza here! The mozzarella is just as fresh as they advertise and the sauce has a sweet, tangy flavor. There’s just enough basil to not make it overwhelming either! I only wish it was bigger. My second favorite dish is the chicken penne vodka, which I also recommend.

Not my favorite place in englewood. then again I did get pasta when I probably should’ve gotten the pizza seeing as how its more their specialty. I ordered the gluten free pasta with clam sauce. the sauce was just too salty. I don’t think I would go back.

Went there for lunch on a Monday. It’s a cute little place in Englewood. We really liked everything we got. The shiitake mushroom pizza was very delicious. Not salty but very flavorful. Also got the calamari for app which came out after (?) the pizza but they were also cooked perfectly crisp and tasted good. I will return to try more of the 6.95 lunch menu. The special pizza was 16 bucks which I think is on a pricier side for lunch but glad it was delicious.

I weeped when this place closed a few years ago, and I weeped again when it re-​opened. This is some of my absolute favorite pizza ever. I heart U-​Pie, the only thing that sucks is not being able to decide which toppings are best.

Worst pizza ever!!! Guy working there seriously needs to get educated. He think he funny but just making a fool out of himself. Doesn’t even know where Bangladesh is. Get educated you fool before trying to have a conversation with people.
You’re lucky I didn’t cancel my order n leave.

We ordered through grub hub and overall we thought the food was good, but slightly on the pricey side especially for personal sized pizzas.
The truffled mushroom pizza was fantastic! From the quality of dough, the mushroom paste & mushroom toppings, the multiple cheese types, and truffle oil, it stood out as a pretty amazing pizza.
We also got the Classico, thinking it would be like a marguerite pizza, but was more like a plain cheese without fresh basil. That was disappointing.
The fried calamari had a great crust to them and the marinara sauce was extremely flavorful. It definitely makes me consider getting a pizza next time with their marinara.
We go the arugula walnut Apple salad which was pretty standard. I’m looking forward to dining in next time and trying some other options.

Went to this place because we LOVE local places, pizza, and its proximity to the Bergen PAC. We had a show to see that night.
Food = DELICIOUS!
Service = among the WORST I have ever experienced
Here is why service was bad…
Walked in the restaurant and there was only 1 other party seated at the time.
We were originally seated at a 2-​top table and the table was VERY wobbly so we moved over to the one next to us. The guy behind the counter told us that if 4 people came in we would have to move. (Never had someone tell me that before). We then moved to another 2-​top closer to the door that was fine. She asked us how we heard about U Pie and we stated Unilocal.She said «Oh nice, I hope you give us a good review…» and walked away. It took at least 10 – 15 minutes for someone to give us menus and take the drink order after being seated.
The waitress took our drink and appetizer order, came back with drinks in a few mins and then took our entrée order (2 different pizzas).
No appetizer ever came out — only the pizzas were brought out by some guy. No one ever came to see if we needed refills on drinks or how everything was. Only a guy that came to take our plates when we were done. We told him we never received our appetizer and he asked us if we still wanted it. We did. (No offer to comp or anything, no apologies, nothing). Appetizer was brought out, no appetizer plates ever given, had to eat out of the small dish that was so hot you could not even touch it. (Still no offer to refill drinks and still have not spoken to our waitress since she took our order.)
Waitress FINALLY stopped by and we kindly asked for the check. 10 minutes later — no check. It was getting closer to when we had to get to the theater so I went up to the counter with my credit card. She first off never acknowledged I was even standing thing and was ringing through some other checks. I asked to pay the check and she took my card and printed out the receipt and set it on the counter (didn’t run it yet). She left to being someone else their check, ran that through and brought it back to the table. The other guy came up finally and noticed I was standing there and ran my card.
Seriously, some of the WORST service I had. (Only reason they got 2 stars was because the food was good)
A note about the food…
The pizza was absolutely delicious, the appetizer (mac and cheese) was really good but too oily.

Let me start off by saying that this was the best gelato I have ever had. That seemed to be one of the only upsides of the night. The wait staff was totally incompetent and forgetful. We ordered wings and it took surprisingly long and when we asked if our waitress had put in the order, we were scolded with a nasty «Yeah!» The pizza was honestly disappointing and bland. The wings were so spicy my eyes were watering. For a place I was excited to try, I was thoroughly disappointed. I won’t be back.

Do NOT order delivery from here!
I recently placed an order for delivery via Seamless. U Pie confirmed the order with expected delivery time of 30 – 45 minutes. 1 hour and 20 minutes later, I called to check in on our delivery. U Pie stated that «they’re not completing deliveries at this time.» I have to say I’m more than a little disappointed with the lack of customer service… or really the lack of any service. I can’t believe my order was completely disregarded! I will not be visiting or ordering from U Pie again.

Charles hit it out of the park with the Margherita and the shiitake pies. The crust was perfectly crisp and the flavors showcased the freshness of the ingredients. The sauce on the Margherita was perfect, and the mozzarella was made there fresh. My wife and I are definitely eating here again.

The pizza is good, no lie.
Had to knock off a star for the price.
I can get a whole pie up the street at the «regular» pizza place for the same price as a personal pizza here.
A whole pie will last me 3 days, a personal pizza from this place is gone gone gone within 30 minutes… lol
I will stop here when I don’t want to keep pizza leftovers on the menu for 3 days though.
One night, when I have company, I will try the dine in service as the staff seem very nice.

Went to U Pie for dinner last night and it was fantastic. We started with the best personal pizzas I have ever had (and I’m a big pizza fan). They have a lot of different toppings to choose from so make it fun!
The main courses were out of this world! The chef is incredible. We had a glazed salmon dinner which was 5 stars! The chicken was yummy and the lobster dinner out of this world! This was literally the best meal I’ve had in a very Long time. Check it out!

The U Pie experience was great!

Eggplant and Harissa pizza and quadro formaggio (4 cheese) w truffle oil .
Dessert were Zeppoles so light and airy. Thought they were going to float off the table! Boyb beer is perfect !
