A bar at a flea market? Are you kidding me, I’m in! Being a monster flea market kinda guy and living so close to Englishtown I love swinging by the market on weekends especially in the summer. I was absolutely delighted to find a bar on the premises, YEAHBABY! Now I could slip away whilst the fam canvasses row upon row of glorious junk while I get a lil arm curl action. 4 or 5 tap choices along with a limited selection of cans & bottles and of course mixed drinks. Relatively sizable bar with several tables scattered about to rest you’re weary legs & escape the elements. There’s a few flat screens so you can catch a game. They also serve some basic food, but with so many wonderful food trucks & stands outside I don’t think eating in there would be my first choice. The prices are average and you’re not going to get a magnificently made«Old fashion» lol. But to be able to break up some shopping or just slip away especially in the middle of a hot summer day is quite phenomenal. Yep, that’s where you’ll find me.

I love eating outdoors especially once the weather gets nicer. We came here after a few hours of shopping in the market. They have two different counters one for food and the other for the bar. I went to order some food and the selection is very limited, wings, hot dogs or burgers. I went for the burger which was okay but nothing special for $ 8. Then I went to get my drink and the girls working there were pleasant and the prices reasonable.

Cool outdoor tavern to relax after shopping at the market. However, the food was ok(small frozen burgers) and it was overpriced for what you get.

not much for me to say, Helen summed it up nicely located at the flea market, limited hours, looks like manhattan meets red neck(and its nice, really) outside was open this weekend(could use those propane gas heat lamps — it was freezing) nice selection barbecue was blazing

Mainbrook Tavern right on the edge of the Englishtown Auction, is one of the best kept secrets in NJ! It is a really, nicely done Patio Bar, open on the weekends from 10:00 — 6:00pm. It is nicely landscaped, well staffed and just a great place to hang out for a few hours. The bar is on one side of the Courtyard, lots of Cold Beer, Sangria and Specialty Cocktails are available. The other corner has a Grill, you can get great Wings, Burgers, Hot Dogs and Sausage Sandwiches. You just place your order and everything is then cooked to order, the Chili Cheese Dog has an amazing chili topping!!! Everything about Mainbrook is top notch! They play a nice assortment of Rock music and have a couple of great TV’s to watch the game!!! It is a really nice little melting pot, all different groups of people and families hang out there and everyone has a good time!!! Check it out!!!
