The Parkside is a mile down the road from another great bar. As of 12/29/15, The Parkside aka Sloppy’s is open, although it is rumored to be for sale. This is a cool neighborhood bar, 2 separate rooms and full kitchen. The small bar area was comfortably full of friendly regulars enjoying the jukebox and sports on multiple TVs. They have a full kitchen serving the usual bar fare, and multiple drink and food specials. Drafts were $ 1.50, that should be enough to get you to go too.

It’s closed… a lot of history, friends, laughs… gone. It’s a landmark that won’t be soon forgotten… John HATED it when we called it Sloppy’s.

The definition of a dive bar. Which means… it’s amazing to me :) Now, don’t get me wrong, I don’t ALWAYS go to dive bars… i just prefer them because I a HUGE people watching type of person and enjoy the crazies who always wander in :) :) :) Cheap… and I mean CHEAPPPPPPP beer and an awesome bartender who doesn’t care what you play on the old school juke box they have… on one condition– MUSTPLAYHIMFREEBIRD! Whenever I go visit my best friend(him and I have been on MANYMANYMANY dive bar crawls together), we ALWAYS sneak out and go to parkside! If you need to take beer home, go for the good ol golden anniversary! It’s only $ 4 for a 12 pack ha. Just go and enjoy this hidden«gem dive. «Unless, you’re too stuck up and can’t deal with that sort of atmosphere :)

Dive bar in every sense of the word dive in a super great way. And this review & rating reflects pure value. A beer & shot extraordinaire. Pool table. Cheap drafts from $.75 on up, but not too far up. $ 2 hot dogs, but not too sure I’d eat here. Unpretentious come as you are for a super dirt(not sure they clean the glasses Lol) cheap drink without the bullshit baby.
