This is sort of a locals bar. So everyone knows everyone and you can strike up a conversation with just about anybody. There are enough TV’s to go around and a decent amount of seats. It does fill up pretty fast when there’s a sporting event on so get there a bit early if you want to watch a game.
The food is good, not taste-​bud spectacular, but good enough. I will say the buffalo wings are NOT spicy/​hot at all so steer clear if that’s what you’re looking for.
The staff is friendly and are attentive as well.

Their wings are very good and at 50 cent wings on a Wednesday night, what’s not to like? We also went on a Monday and had their bar pie, it was a good plain pie. Not much to offer in terms of on tap beers but it is what it is. Will be back for the wings. Cool place to hang with your friends or bf/​gf, but definitely not a date night type of place.

I love this place so much but it’s hit or miss. The food is always great and the service has always been perfect (bar and tables) but there is no hostess. I don’t think that concept works on a Friday/​Saturday night. Last time I was there a server walked right by us as I tried to ask her if there was a wait. We ended up walking out.

Live bands are nice. Bar food is not wonderful, but the drinks are good. It could up the quality of the food if it wants to market itself as a family place by day and a bar at night, or decide which it wants to be.
My review is as a bar with live music. In that sense, it’s nice.
Hate the chairs. They are uncomfortable but functional. Owner seems to pander, (the three times I was there) to regulars and local off duty cops which is a turn off, but if you want a drink and to hear live music, it’s pretty good.

We went and stood there for at least 5 minutes. The waitress looked at us the bartender looked at us but not one single employee acknowledged us. There were only 2 open tables but they were not clear. So we just walked out with our money and spent it elsewhere. You what they say «your first impression is your best impression «probably will never go back.

Tonight was my first time in the General Saloon. It was a great experience with the costumer service and food. Definitely will go there again for some drinks, good bar food and hopefully to hear a live band play again.

Have visited this place a couple time and the food is great but believe it or not will not go back. About 2 years ago ordered some pies as take out used my debit card to pay and 2 days later my card was hacked into. Honestly at the time wasn’t real sure how it happened but knew it was either here or one other place I was at over that weekend. Have been there since but paid cash until this past Friday when I again went with my mom and sister. Again used my debit card and wouldn’t you know 2 days later someone hacked my credit card. Actually called the place to report that something suspicious was going on there, manager very apologetic but warning to all who visit PAY CASH don’t take a chance there is absolutely a thief in this establishment and I’m certain I’m not the only one this has happened too!!!

Wow walking in I thought … Oh boy we are a bit on the young side and we ain’t in jersey anymore. Something tells me I will be back tho. I just moved a few blocks away and they do have wings, booze and a special to do every night. Live music, 5 dollar pizza, etc. it is what it is. I’ll try to Shang some pics for yalllll.

Expect a very local vibe when arriving.
I ordered the Cowboy Fries which was listed as waffle fries with cheese, chili, and bacon. My girlfriend ordered Pierogies which was listed as cheese with fried onions. When we got our food they were indistinguishable. The amount of cheese on each of our plates was INSANE, enough to clog you for a week. But mountains of cheese and potatoes still tastes good.

Simple place to get simple food and a drink. Good to hang out with small groups. Can get a bit crowded but servers are very attentive.

I’ve been to General Saloon a couple of times and have to say that their wings are amazing. I might even go as far as to say they are the best. I’ve also tried their pizza which is also pretty good. They also have live music which is always fun. But those wings… mmm.

Nice place to hang out and get a drink after work on a Friday. If you come later at night it’s quite the mix of people. Pretty chill place and not that bad but recently went and there were some really trashed people there who were extremely rude. Honestly felt like the bartenders should have stopped serving them but they continued to take shots.
Food is eh. You have to really get the true bar food here… nothing fancy. Do not get the spinach artichoke dip. Not the place for it. The pizza and/​or wings is the way to go.
Later at night when it’s crowded too the parking kind of sucks but there is a side street you can park on.
Good place to go if you want to just grab some drinks and chill but don’t expect much!

This place is solid. Great specials. Awesome drinks. Great food! Wings are not breaded! Pizza looked super tasty! Live music. Great crowd– youngins, families, folks looking for a good time and bikers.
I just wish they would get rid of the white walls. It would help with the ambiance.

yo, Buffalo Wild Wings, I’ma let you finish, but the buffalo wings are General Saloon are probably the best of all time, ALL TIME. okay, that’s an exaggeration, but they do make really great wings here.
the buffalo has a perfect blend of spice, vinegar, and butter, while the BBQ has a tangy sweetness to it. the meat was actually moist, and there was quite an ample amount of it. we killed a lot of wings between the 4 of us, as well as 1 plain pizza (which was decent). all the apps and pizza were discounted on a Monday night.
cold beer on tap. nothing too fancy, but Sam Winter makes me happy.
it has a bit of the roadhouse look to it, but it’s also really bright inside, which is a bit odd.
service is friendly, though a bit harried — they could use probably one more waiter.
is this a place for date night? no. is it a place to drink beer, eat wings, and hang out with your cousins and friends to pregame before a rock concert? yes.
