I really love the food here, but this place is better for takeout than for dining in(even though I looove eating on the patio with its twinkling string-lights). The service here is awful. To be fair, it’s been a few months since we’ve been there, so the owner certainly could’ve since gotten better servers. That all being said, the empanadas are made fresh and from scratch by the owners mom… can’t beat ‘em.

Excellent food and service! Can’t wait to come back! Food was amazing, loved the spinach queso appetizer, entrée was combo platter number 1, stuffed Chile relleno and enchiladas. Excellente!

Small cozy place with great food at a resonable price. I had a combo that came with 2 tacos, 2 enchaladas, and 2 tamaos. My wife had beef quesadilla and a beef empanda. With desert our was only $ 34.00! We’ll definatly go back!

I eat here a lot. This is real Mexican food. I eat a lot of ethnic foods and I know good Mexican and this is damn good Mexican food. Eat here and see for yourself. You’ll want more.

The raceway café is one of our favorite places to bring our favorite cocktail and have a delicious, fresh, authentic Mexican meal. The menu is quite extensive, making it hard to choose! The colorful, fun atmosphere makes the experience even better. The owner goes out of his way to make sure everyone is happy and satisfied! Can’t wait to go back!

This establishment needs to decide if it’s a diner or a Tex-Mex place. I ordered chicken with mole sauce. More like chicken with spicy bbq sauce. My husband loved his enchiladas with green sauce and my son devoured the black beans. The service was great– we were one of three parties there.

So my boyfriend and I came here since he lives nearby, and we saw the rave reviews. Admittedly, we came here with high hopes. My boyfriend ordered the chicken enchilada with the red sauce, and I had the beef one with the mole sauce. We are usually big fans of good Mexican/Tex-Mex food. But this, I can say was awful. The taste was all off, almost rancid for mine. My boyfriend’s was tolerable(I say this, because I can usually stomach most things)… but still pretty bad. We could only eat about half of our meal, and when the server asked if we wanted to box the rest up, we quickly shook our heads. Even the rice and beans were woefully bland, and so was the guacamole(and I love guacamole…). Really? Now, the reason its two stars instead of one is because the people in there seemed genuinely nice and friendly. It was clean, well decorated(despite for the out of place car /religious stuff). I really wanted to like this place. The strange thing is that this place seems to have regulars! It boggled our minds. I suppose, in conclusion, if you just want something to fill your belly and not actually taste genuine or taste much at all… or if your palate usually thinks Mexican food is too«spicy»… then go for this place. If you’re a person who actually wants good Tex-Mex/Mexican food… stay far away!!!

This is a cute little place for authentic Mexican. We tried a bunch of items. Empanadas, tacos, nachos, burrito, quesadilla. All were great. The owners were super friendly and went out of their way to make sure my three year old was satisfied. We visited about three months ago… Its time for a return trip!

I have eaten here 2 times now before my hair apt next door at Rage. I had a burrito on my first visit and chicken tacos on my second. The food is fresh and reasonably priced.

So cute! We were looking for a Mexican breakfast place and we finally found one! The owners were very friendly, accommodating, attentive, and the food was delicious. Plenty of chorizo in the omelette, a lot of flavor, home fries were yummy too. Nice atmosphere sitting outside. Bought some homemade tamales and empanadas to go. Can’t wait to try them! Will definitely be back!

This place is not what it used to be. Great prices and great atmosphere. Any time I need a quick Spanish food fix, I always come here.

My girlfriend and I were here once but I think that’s all. My chicken enchilladas were really good. The mole sauce they have is delicious. Beans and rice, much like my reviews of other mexican/tex-mex places, sucked. My girlfriend got a breakfast sandwich with chorizo and the chorizo was almost nonexistent. Her order was supposed to come with home fries and all she got were deep fried steak fries from a bag(the crummy processed diner fries). I was half tempted to pull a Marcus LeMonis on them and offer them 20 grand for 51% of the business and show them how it’s done.

Many people may remember this location as the previous Raceway grill, however there is no way to compare the two. First off, the owner has put in a lot of time and money into renovating this location and it’s made clear the moment you walk in. The restaurant gave me a feeling of being in a small New York Café as I walked through door and in this neighborhood that’s impossible to come by. I had ordered a chorizo, egg and cheese sandwich, along with a order of home fries. This Sandwich is easily a must have, putting a tex — mex twist on the usual breakfast sandwiches I’ve become accustomed to. The potatoes were good, although I would say they were a little too oily. I can easily see myself going back and trying more items off the menu and I recommend those from the neighborhood do the same.
