I went to JC Penneys salon in Enterprise, AL. I arrived in Enterprise desperately needing a relaxer touch up but I was not sure who to call. I’ve always believed that JC Penneys has an impeccable reputation and have always trusted the master stylists. So, I decided to give them a call. I was told that the master stylist was not available, but that one of their designer stylists was available that very same day. I was hesitant, because being black with long healthy hair meant I could risk severe damage if someone who is not very experienced relaxes it. Again, I was desperate because the frizz and new growth were getting out of control. I decided to make the appointment with Lorena and boy am I glad that I did. I usually use Affirm sensitive scalp, and she had that product available. I didn’t burn and she took proper care in applying it thoroughly and ONLY to the new growth. She trimmed the mess of layers that had not been trimmed in many months and then flat ironed it. My hair was silky, bone straight, and all without damage. My scalp was scab free which is a literal first for me. I made an appointment to return in 6 weeks and I look forward to it. I wrote this review to help others who are in my boat, considering how important healthy hair is to me. Lorena is phenomenal and the staff there are very professional and made my time there very enjoyable. Lorena, you are a God send!!!
