Shane’s Rib Shack

We’ve heard good and bad reviews about this place. However last night was the night we found out that the bad reviews are a lie and the good reviews are actually the truth. The BBQ ribs were so delicious it was filled with so much flavor. Fell right off the bone as well ! Can I just add that they have several flavors of their BBQ sauces. However we only tried the «original», & it was amazing. We are excited to try out the others because we’re going there for BBQ from now on for sure. The best BBQ here in enterprise al so far …

Great Barbecue! The Buff-​Q sauce is awesome. The hospitality here is better than most sit down restaurant establishments. The waitresses were very accommodating and polite. Not to mention military gets a 15% discount. Definitely going to eat here again.

Had the pulled pork with cole slaw. The sandwich was HUGE; lots of bread, meat and cole slaw. Could only eat half of it. Lots of hot french fries also. At $ 9 with a drink and fries I thought it was a little expensive for a sandwich, but two normal sized people could split one plate and not leave hungry.

It doesn’t even deserve the one star. My husband and I came in and ordered 2 meals plus 1:2 pound of bbq pork. It was over $ 40. That’s not even the problem. When we went to pick up the order it was just sitting behind the counter-​so much for hot fries. When we got home I discovered my meal was wrong. I called and asked «Lily» to speak to the manager. I realize no one is perfect – mistakes are made. But I made a special point to make sure when I placed the order that I wanted the smoked half chicken not the chopped up chicken breast. Lily said that both managers had just left to go to a catering job. I then asked to speak to whoever was in charge at that moment – she said no one was. I then asked if the building blew up who would be in charge then– she started laughing and said no one again. I explained that I had just gotten out of the hospital (which was why I was wearing this huge brace in my shoulder) and after days of intense pain and being very sick I did not feel like being laughed at. After all I had taken the time and spent the gas to come to Shane’s and she could at least «act» as if she cared that I was a customer, who had spent over $ 40 for a wrong order. For the record, I recorded the call because due to the very serious nature of my illness and the drugs I have to take sometimes my memory isn’t very good. Bottom line: it isn’t enough to have decent food-​a lot of places do. The very least a business can do is treat a customer with respect and be grateful for thier money and thier time. When I go to my cancer support meeting tomorrow – I will be asking each person there to boycott Shane’s. I am a person and deserve to be treated like I matter-​at least like my money matters, after all my husband worked hard for that $ 40! Never again will I allow some stupid little teenage girl to laugh at me.

I have to say that I was sadly disappointed with my first and only dining experience at Shane’s Rib Shack. I ordered the smothered pork sandwich with a side of macaroni and cheese. The Mac n cheese had good flavor, though the noodles were overcooked and on the mushy side. The pork was very dry and unfortunately, not even the vast amount of sauce I used to smother it with could fix it. My husband had the fried chicken sandwich, which was okay, but lacked anything special. Needless to say, we agreed that we might give this place a chance to redeem itself in the future… Until a few hours later when the sickness set in for both of us! We will not be returning.

I eat here at least 2 – 3 times a month. It is very good in my opinion. I am allergic to mustard which is in all of the sauces so I order my meat «dry» and I bring my bottle of Baby Ray’s. The restaurant is ALWAYS clean and the staff is ALWAYS friendly.

Friendly staff but the food isn’t my favorite. I’ve been 3 times hoping it’ll get better but it’s always same. I’m also a huge BBQ fan but their BBQ isn’t the best either.

Food sucks. No getting round it if it wasn’t for the bbq sauce to help me eat it l, the food would have no flavor. I think it should be noted that this food is not smoked bbq etc. Its baked. When you walk up to the restutants I don’t smell any smoke and the there isn’t any smoke rungs in the food.
Don’t care for the order up front at register type in environment either.
Staff is friendly though.

Went there for lunch. Staff was nice and helpful. A little pricey, but they don’t skimp on the food portions. It cost us $ 43.00 for 3 people. When I pay that kind of money, I like to sit down and be waited on, not stand in a line and order, then sit down. Ribs and grilled chicken are really good. BBQ pork was dry and had no flavor. Coleslaw, baked beans, and green beans were okay, nothing special. Baked beans reminded me of what comes in a can that you just heat up. Sweet potato fries were good. Mac & cheese was too mushy. Overall, it was just okay.

Finally got in to try the new barbecue place. I found it delicious. Real hickory smoked pork that was pulled from the bone. With 4 different sauces to chose from, most discriminating tastes can be satisfied. Upon walking up to the order counter the cashier was very courteous and helpful. She even offered some sample dipping sauces for the fries my husband ordered. The other staff were also friendly and courteous. The fresh peach cobbler was an excellent ending to our meal. Will definitely be returning here.

Had a half rack of ribs and 2 sides. $ 14. It was alright. Didn’t wow me. Clean and friendly staff.

Great to have in area. So close. So quick. Relaxed atmosphere. Can easily split a full slab with spouse. Portions are that nice. Definite repeat customer.

Not worth it! The service was okay, but the bbq sauce was way too sweet and the fries were obviously frozen & were soggy when I got them. I won’t be back.

Not bad if you don’t mind waiting 20 mins in line to order and then another 50 minutes waiting for your food to come out after you order. I’m in no hurry to go back. The food was decent though and the manager was very apologetic about the wait, so I’ll give it 3 stars.

Great atmosphere, prompt and friendly service. Had the big daddy pork sandwich and wife had the pork salad. Great presentation and food didn’t disappoint. Highly recommended.

I enjoyed this place. It’s new so it may take a bit for you to sit and get your food, but I was impressed. Enterprise didn’t have a decent BBQ place before, and Shane’s is well priced and the ribs were great

Not a bad little place! I had a sampler and really enjoyed the chicken! The mac & cheese and beans were good, as well. It’s definitely a nice change of pace for Enterprise, where Larry’s, because of a lack of other BBQ restaurants, has held the BBQ crown for quite some time. I’m looking forward to going back for the chicken and trying some other dishes. The peach cobbler isn’t bad, either! Give it a shot!

Ran in and out for take-​out on a Saturday evening. When placing the order the clerk wasn’t overly friendly. Not rude but she seemed to miss the mark on asking for clarity on the order (I ordered a salad but she didn’t ask what type of dressing I wanted). When we got there, we saw how swamped they were so we can somewhat understand her desire to rush through the order. It was ready by the time they agreed and everything was hot. We ordered the chicken salad and wings plus peach cobbler. The salad was great (the Texas toast is a little salty). I didn’t taste my husbands wings but the cobbler was awesome! I ate mine and my husbands (he didn’t like it as he thought it would be more like an apple crisp).

My fiancé and I both ordered the «shack potato.» A baked potato with BBQ pork/​chicken/​Brunswick stew, butter, sour cream, and jalapeños. The base price was $ 6.50, for $ 9 you get a drink and 1 small side. I got Mac and cheese, it was delicious and made with actual cheese, not cheese powder. They have 4 BBQ sauces to choose from, original, honey, spicy, and mustard.
Definitely see us returning!

Shane’s rib shack never disappoints. Ribs are very tender and juicy. The pulled pork is very flavorful and the Mac and cheese is great. The staff is very friendly and courteous. I’m glad we finally have a shanes in enterprise alabama!!!
