Greenwater Skis

I have rented/demo’d here for several years and always thought it was great. This year, however, I returned the skis — for which I’m paying a RENTAL rate, which presumably in the rate anticipates some wear and tear — and they dinged me for damage. .. the cost of which was even more than one day’s rental! So I paid more than double the daily rate! I didn’t do anything crazy on those skis. I skied. Inbounds. Ski hills have rocks sometimes. Apparently I went over one and, yes, there was a scratch in the base. I was blown away that he was going to charge me, but I paid it. Now I’ve found out that several friends this year have had similar experiences. WHAT A SCAM! Once you factor in their rate at double (at least, apparently), you may as well just purchase, or at least rent somewhere else.

The only place I take my skis. Louie runs the best shop in the Northwest. Excellent custom tuning. Much less expensive demos than up on the hill. A cozy shop with all the state of the art tools and experienced hands.
THen again, if you’re comfortable having your skis, or your children’s skis, mounted by a 16 year old at SportsAuthority, that’s up to you. I think Louie is worth the drive to Greenwater.

They definitely have cheaper and better quality rentals around the Crystal Mountain Ski area but they still fall short of quality.
Their service is excellent.

This is the best ski service shop in Greenwater. Yes yes you are saying this is the only one, but really it is the best! Louie and his crew are one of the few people I trust with my skis. They have fixed things and I didn’t think were going to be possible.
Also they do a great job with their demo/​rental fleet. If you don’t want to wait in line at the hill, I’d really suggest stopping here to grab a pair of demo’s or rental skis.

The spot in Greenwater when you need your skis serviced. Louie and his crew have been servicing skiers since Mt Rainier was just a mogul. I’ve taken numerous skis here for mounting, tuning as well as some repairs that I wasn’t sure was even possible. (Think early season chair 6 rock damage) The skis were returned in perfect condition. They are very flexible with getting your skis back to you when you need them.
They offer a selection of skis to demo and skis and bindings for sale. If you’re coming up for the weekend and would like to demo skis I would suggest calling in advance to ensure they have what you’re looking for.
