The Paper Store

Pretty uncrowded. Great stop for cards and gifts. They do have Alex and Abu if your into that. I’m not into it I’m a boy. Hopefully you knew that. Cashiers were friendly but slow. Great store!!!

Typical Hallmark store though the cards, gift wrap and stationery seem secondary now. I just wanted a thank you card and gift bag. They all seem to be branching out these days into gifts and baubles as well. This store had clothes too and they’re an Alex and Ani retailer.
Staff were ok. Got a friendly welcome at the counter to start, but as the lady was saying «thank you» she didn’t even look at me and had already turned around to see what a coworker was doing on the other counter.
I can find other places to get paper supplies with a little more appreciation for my business.

Staff turnover and this store is full of rude employees who honestly don’t have common sense. Bought over $ 200 worth of Chamilia charms. They had a buy 3 and get 1 free holiday sale. One of the purchased charms, $ 65 was a duplicate to one my mom already has. We went in to the store tonight to EXCHANGE it but they told us the one we were looking to EXCHANGE was the FREE one. Therefore, we could return it for no value or «just keep it.» Being that this obviously was a common sense matter we asked to speak to the manager who told us the same thing.
So, my mom went to The Paper Store in Beverly and they took care of her without one ounce of an issue and she left with a different charm.
Also called Epping to inquire about the Dreidel charm and was told «this store doesn’t carry Jewish stuff» because there is not a demand for it. Thought about placing a call to corporate on that one. Next time in the store they had the charm and about 15 Mench on a Bench’s (ripoff of the Elf on a Shelf.)
The organization in this store is fine and aside from peak holidays enough staff to keep the store organized and the lines to a minimum.
However, the staff is grumpy when it starts to get busy and it doesn’t make me want to fill my Amex out in this store when so many other Hallmark and The Paper Stores are in the area.

I really love this store. It’s a little pricey that being said the assortment of gift ideas is wonderful.
