Nice variety of drinks including ice cream desserts. There usually isn’t a huge selection of pastries when I go. If the weather is nice, the outdoor seating area is great. Sometimes parking can be a problem.

My husband and I came here for a quick weekday date. We both got ice cream, because why not. I got mint chocolate chip and he got what could’ve been cookies and crème or something along those lines. I thought the mint chocolate chip was delicious… the mint wasn’t overpowering and there wasn’t a bunch of green food coloring that is typical in most mint flavors. It was delicate and refreshing… but my only gripe was that the chocolate chips were wayyy too big. I wish the chips were more like shavings… because chocolate pieces that big in icecream don’t melt in your mouth… they just become some sort of hard mush that sticks to your gums and makes your jaw tired. I ended up spitting them out and forcing my(albeit very reluctant) husband eat it… Which is a shame, because I imagine each of those chocolate chips probably cost like $ 0.50.(Hence the force feeding of poor husband). I’ve also tried their canoli. They were delicious.

We always come to the café before hitting the chocolate shop, which is attached. I had a chai latte, which was tasty and prepared well with friendly service. Kids had ice cream cones, which were huge and went over well. We usually eat outside but as there was a chill, we opted for the indoors coffee shop vibe. We had no issues with service or drinks/food and we never have.

This is my second time. To be fair, my husband loves their coffee and I had their hot chocolate last time, and it was fair. I tried the iced cocoa this time and it was nasty. It cost $ 5, and it was pretty small. It tasted much like a slim fast shake. My advice stay away from the iced cocoa.

The coffee and pastries are excellent, however, the owner is kind of a jerk — unless yelling at patrons because they moved an outside table from the sun two feet over into the shade is standard acceptable practice for proprietor-client relationship building.
