We LOVED everything about this place! The food was absolutely wonderful, as was the presentation. The dining area is very cozy, and the owner and staff are warm and friendly. As others said, you wouldn’t expect this from the outside, but it truly is a gem! We will definitely go there again!

Good food. Poor atmosphere. I was the only person eating there at 7 p.m. Usually not a good sign; however, service was good and the food was excellent. This is not a place to bring a date.

My family & I went here over the weekend and we had an awesome time! The owner checked on us several times and took the time to tell us about the beautiful artwork inside! We had a delicious meal; they give you very generous servings! The salmon was out of this world! We all loved the whole experience!!!

I went based on all the great reviews this place has. Well,… probably will not be back! They advertise a lunch buffet, there is NOT one! I waited over 10 mins for someone to take my order with one person already eating and only 2 other people in the whole place. Sorry, but I will go back to Guru!

Very good flavors and quality of food. But… They charged us more ben was listed on the menu, and added a surcharge for sharing a plate on the lunch menu. beware and watch your tab.

Delicious food, attentive friendly staff, not crowded at all! What’s wrong with this picture? You’re not in it! Take a chance on wonderful cuisine served in an airy atmosphere. Could use some music, but otherwise very solid.

The food at A Fine Taste of India is pretty good. You would never guess it based on the appearance of the restaurant. It looks rather questionable from the outside, and the interior is not much better. However, if you can look past the setting, you will likely be pleased. I ordered the chicken curry and garlic naan, and Paul ordered the lamb korma. The sauce for the chicken curry seemed to be broth-based rather than cream-based, which is different than what I am used to. Despite this, I enjoyed the taste and found the spices to be perfect. The naan was also good, and there was enough for both of us to share. Paul complained that the lamb was a bit tough and too spicy(despite ordering a «2») but he still ate it. Other pluses include friendly services and clean restrooms. If you’re interested in trying something new, I suggest giving A Fine Taste of India a try.

I have to admit… I’ve driven by this place every day for a couple years and never considered eating there. I always see the«Buffet $ 7.99» sign out front and wondered what it’s all about. I owe it to Unilocal and all the positive reviews for getting my through the door. I’ve been missing out all this time apparently. The food really is amazing. I can go on and on about the food, but really, you just need to experience it. The $ 7.99 buffet is lunch only, by the way. 11am-3pm, seven days a week. They have dinner entrees from 5pm-9pm.

My mother and I were staying at the hotel so we decided try the attached Indian restaurant. The restaurant, and hotel, need to be refurbished. I was certainly apprehensive about the restaurant based on the appearance of my room and the restaurant itself. That being said, the food is delicious! Try to overlook the facility because the food is worth it. I feel as if the owner simply does not care enough to make necessary upgrades to both the restaurant and hotel; which is a shame. It is not a fine dining experience but it is very good Indian cuisine.

My husband and I went here for dinner on a Tuesday evening about 8pm. When we arrived, we were the only party there. The waiter was attentive at first and we ordered. When the food arrived, my husband’s was steaming, but mine was kind of lukewarm. I ordered vegetable jalfrezi and asked for some chickpeas to be added, but they were no where to be found. I was hungry so I didn’t want to complain and wait longer for my food. The garlic naan we ordered came out after our food came, which was odd. The food was very good, mine would have been better if it was hot, but the flavors were good. A couple of other parties came in while we were there and the lone waiter was obviously doing his best, but seemed a bit overwhelmed. After we finished our meal, we waited nearly half an hour for our bill. There was apparently some issue with their computer. The waiter was very apologetic, but it was getting late and we needed to leave. The food was good, but the place was very much lacking in ambience. I also thought they could have just written us a paper bill(which is what they ended up doing anyway) and not made us wait unnecessarily. I probably won’t be back. I would rather go to some of the other Indian restaurants in the area.

The food here is great. You must order the mint chutney. You’ll want to pour it on the rest of your meal regardless of what it is. I recommend getting carry out. My wife and I followed our GPS to the restaurant and found it was attached to a hotel which we always find to be a bad sign. It was a Saturday night and the parking lot was completely empty. The sign said Taste of India rather than A Fine Taste of India and hanging next to the sign was another sign saying Tandoori Grill I believe. What’s the name of this place? We sat in the car debating for a couple minutes about whether this was a good idea. We decided to trust in the Unilocal rating and went in. First off, the seating and tables are in rough shape with one seat having a tear patched with tape. Then there’s the smell of what I first thought was cleaning supplies but turned out to be air fresheners. Shouldn’t the smell of cooking food be good? Crowding the dining area was an empty mobile buffet with some sheets over it. The owner/host was enthusiastic which is great but was far too pushy with his suggestions for what we should order and then he was very awkward talking to us for a very long time and then would abruptly leave mid-sentence when he’d get calls on his phone. We expected the worst food to arrive but it was great as I said above. Despite only one other couple coming in while we were there, carry out business seemed to be doing well. I’m not surprised that customers prefer not to dine-in but hopefully they can improve their presentation to get people dining-in because an empty lot can sometimes scare away customers like myself.

Are you looking for a commercialized Indian restaurant with generic Americanized Indian food? I’ll save you some time, this isn’t that! When I walked in, I momentarily questioned my choice, but when the food arrived, I realized I had just uncovered a hidden gem! I love Indian Food. I’ve eaten it a lot since being led to addiction by my Indian college professor; God bless her. And this place, God bless it! Not your normal local Indian chain. The meal I had was from a 100 year-old family recipe, and I could tell it was different. The rice was AMAZING! Garlic Naan was GREAT! The Chicken Vindaloo was OUTOFTHISWORLD! If you can’t tell, I’ll be going back. Emmmm!

As soon as I walked in, the owner greeted me. He and the hostess, Becky, were very welcoming and friendly. I was just looking to pick up a to-go order of samosas; in about 3 minutes, tops, Becky brought me over my order. I was so pleasantly surprised. In those 3 minutes that I was waiting, the owner even brought me out a sample of samosas. He was so generous and thoughtful. Definitely made my day. Don’t let the outside fool you. Although it’s located right next to the highway, the inside of this restaurant is very nice and serene. Really beautifully decorated too. I’m only in town for the night, but I’m hoping to come back here for dinner tonight to try their saag paneer. Overall, terrific service and phenomenal food. A+++

Had a quick dinner here before a departing flight at CVG. I appreciated its proximity to the airport and the interstate. Interior is pretty similar to most Indian restaurants I have visited in the past. By no means was it dirty, but could use a little freshening up. Bathroom could have used a little more attention(no paper towels, a mans shaving razor on the counter?) The restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived and we were greeted and waited on by the owner. We ordered a samosa appetizer, garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, and lamb jalfrezi. Food came out pretty quickly which was nice: Samosas were average but the chutney sauce that came with them was very delicious. Galric naan was a bit of a let down, very thin and semi burnt. Chicken Tikka masala was good but not very spicy(spice level 4) Lamb Jalfrezi was also good and I appreciated the amount of lamb in the dish. Rice served with the dish was good and the waiter brought us more when we ran out. Had to request my water glass to be filled several times even though there were no other patrons in the restaurant. Felt a little awkward having to call the owner over from his cricket match on TV. Overall good experience and good food, nothing extraordinary but worth a visit if you like Indian food

Trying to find the holy grail of chicken tikka marsala ever since my stay on Kauai. We ordered the tikka marsala and the coconut chicken korma. I didn’t find the best Indian tikka Marsala but it was pretty good. I’d have to say the coconut korma was really yummy. I’ll defiantly try to remember this place for lunch buffet.

This place is… strange. I wish there was a better word for it, but that kind of sums it up. We attempted to order beef, but were told they don’t have it.(It’s on the menu, both online and in the restaurant) So, we got some sort of lamb dish(we ordered lamb biryani in a split second decision when we were told they didn’t have beef, but this was unlike any biryani I’ve ever had) and chicken saag. The lamb was cooked well, as was the chicken(I liked that they use tandoori chicken in the saag). But the lamb dish was mixed into rice — no telling how much they actually gave us, since it was all smushed around, and there was a boiled egg in this dish. I’m really allergic to egg but hadn’t asked about egg — honestly, I’ve never had the egg problem in an Indian restaurant before, so I was kind of thrown. The saag lacked flavor and neither was the spice level we ordered, as compared to other restaurants. The raita that came with it was… not raita? It appeared to be just yogurt. Strange. Overall, I’ve had better, especially from Guru which is closer to my house. I won’t eat here again, but that’s due to my move in a few short weeks more than this restaurant. I’d be more likely to try it again if I knew their menu was accurate.

So I returned tonight my wife and son. This time it was off the Ala Carte Menu! Wife had the chicken curry(heat level ZERO). Lucas had the Chicken Tikka Masala(heat level 4) and I had the Lamb Biryani(heat level 6). We also had an order of Samosas. The biryani was EXCELLENT as we’re the other entrees. The samosas were alright. One of our samosas must have split open during the frying process as most of the filling was missing but the great server brought out a piping hot fresh one right away. I say again. This is the best Indian restaurant in Northern Kentucky. Having now tried both the buffet and ala carte offerings, I know I’ll be back!
