This place was sooooo bad. I walked in and right away should have turned and walked out. The lobby area was full of tables with phone bills, papers, and trash everywhere. Then while waiting to order my carryout I see a child sitting on the floor of the restaurant playing video games on a computer with an empty coke bottle and trash next to him. There was only one couple in the restaurant and I kept peeking at them wondering if they are doubting their choice of eatery. I ordered the Navratan Korma and the saag paneer to go. It was so bad that I could not even share the Saag. It was runny and tasteless. The Korma had zucchini and squash in it. No calliflower or paneer, or even peas. It had no flavor and it too was runny. I started thinking of who may have been in the kitchen and hopefully it will be the health department soon. The waitress was kind even though I could hardly get past the lack of her two front teeth. All around this was a very poor excuse for Indian and I urge you not to try it.

Got the Daal Takda. It was delicious, although 10.99 for some beans, lentils and spices with rice is a bit much. Service was good, almost tried too hard.

I went here with my Dad because we always used to have a great time going to Taj India in the old location. Sadly, this new place just doesn’t compare. My dad ordered something I can’t recall but when it came out it was just a giant mound of rice. It did not fit whatever the description was at all. The lady waitress just stood by our table staring at us the whole time chiming into our conversation and filling our water up after we took a couple of sips each time. My food was a D at best. I miss Taj India in Florence, I am going to have to find somewhere new to go.

Uhh, yeah… wow. Where should I start? This is the first time I’ve had«Indian food» that tasted nothing like Indian food. I stopped in for a quick lunch before work and avoided the buffet(as per usual with me, I don’t like or trust buffets). I ordered chicken tikka masala to get a feel for the place. I was expecting a reddish yellow, creamy, fragrant, masala… as you would. At first sight I was disappointed. The masala was broken, sort of chunky, sort of greasy, and resembled some sort of strange marinara. Then I tasted it. Again… wow. It resembled nothing like Indian. It was sweet. Ridiculously sweet. Kiddie cereal sweet. It tasted vaguely(and I’m being generous) like tomatoes and sugar. It was even sweeter than my coke(«sorry, we have no mango lassi for lunch»). All the while, the owner/manager/whatever was trying to convince me how excellent and talented the chef was supposed to be. I didn’t have the heart to ask if the chef had ever actually tasted Indian cuisine before. It’s like he thought that with enough praise it would change the flavor in my mouth. I could swear that at times the flavor resembled a hot dog with ketchup(and sugar sprinkled on top). I’m barely even going to mention the dried out chicken. Oh Taj India, how I miss you. This place is called«Taste Of India». Well, it’s a taste of… something, but nowhere near the country of India.

Worst food ever. This place used to be Taj India and then changed. Taj India food was awesome. But now it is awful and pricey. Waste of money.

This is the worst Indian food I have ever had. My husband & I love Indian & have ate Indian food all across the United States. Their lunch buffet was inedible. The naan was cold & rubbery. I am vegetarian & there was nothing for me to eat. My husband eats meat & he also said it was the worst Indian food he’s ever had. The lady brought me out some spinach paneer since there was nothing for me to eat & it was so salty I could not eat it. I told her & she still charged us full price for the buffet & it was not cheap.

Sadly this place is no longer Taj India. It is now Taste of India. This«new» restaurant is unfortunately nowhere near as good. I brought a large group on a Sunday night at 6pm knowing they were open until 9:30 on Sundays. When we arrived the owner was closing for the night because«the chef had something to go to». He decided to keep the place open for us anyway. He gave us a «menu», about 15 items on a printed sheet paper in a sheet protector. He then offered to let us have a dish of each item. We later found out that they had a large birthday party there earlier that day and just had lots of leftovers. Most of the food was good but not excellent. I had fallen in love with Taj India’s Bhindi Masala and Taste of India’s version was completely different and just not very good. It was also discovered that our waitress was a friend of the owner who was at the party. The owner came over to our table often and brought up several times that«we should be glad we came when we did or they would have been closed». He would then just continue to talk to us about how much better this restaraunt is from Taj and telling us to rate them on Trip Advisor, Anyway, it was very awkward and I wish the guy had just turned us away.
