I’ve reviewed my eat in experience here so now I’ll do a review on the takeaway. Steak Burrito What Is It: I got my burrito with steak, brown rice, Monterey cheese, buffalo sauce, extreme sauce, and ranch sauce. Presentation/Packaging: Hothead’s has really awesome looking packaging. Burritos on their own aren’t that appealing looking but with their awesome looking wrappers as well as their cups. Top marks here. 10 out of 10 Taste: I will say if you have a weak stomach don’t get my combination of sauces. The buffalo sauce is very flavourful but not all that spicy on its own but when you combine in it with the extreme habenero it makes a stout flavour. The ranch was barely noticeable but it served its purpose of cooling it down a bit. The steak that they use has decent flavour on its own and when you add the other flavours it makes the perfect meat. This was a tremendous burrito but like I said make sure you’re ready for the spice. 9.5 out of 10

Food is great, but service is unfriendly and has an attitude the entire time you dine in.

Meh. Flavor isn’t there as far as the basics are concerned(meat, rice, beans)

I added this location expressly to write this review. Is there a supervisor here? Everyone acts(and appears to be) 12 years old here. Oh I get it! It’s like Dick’s Last Resort where the theme is rude, right? Hot Heads? That’s exactly what you get here. Employees who act irritated you’re here, begrudgingly answered questions on what the HH sauce is. sorry never been here, but won’t have the chance to make that mistake again. Oh and slamming containers and bottles together to marry the contents(so loudly it rattles my teeth as I eat) is probably not encouraged by owners. Yikes.

I went here for lunch and got myself a burrito. It reminds me of a lot of other burrito places of this nature. You walk up and create your own burrito or burrito bowl, etc. The choices here are about the same as many other places except as the name implies you can get a lot of spicier options. They have spicy versions of everything and some great sauces and salsas you can add to your burrito to really kick things up a notch. I ended up getting the chicken with the hottest sauces and salsas they have. I typically eat very spicy food when at home and as far as I could tell all of their spicy extras were habanero based. I appreciated the heat everything added to my burrito and would go here again. It’s fairly packed during lunch at this particular location as well due to the number of large businesses around. Overall worth a stop in if you want something spicy and quick.

Place was cold to sit in even in the sun. Staff not very friendly. No one in line behind me, but felt like i had to rush to put in my order. Several guys came in after i sat down, don’t know if they were regulars or not but got friendlier & suggestions were made. Not real sure i will go back.

Very nice staff! I had a much nicer experience this time around. The portions were actually generous. This might be my go to location, especially since the Mt. Zion location is terrible. Strange, considering both locations have the same owner.

Good food, good price– I like the vegetarian option where you get free guac instead of meat. It’s like a Mexican version of subway.

The food is pretty tasty– but like others have said, they are very conservative with their fixins. Compared to other burrito places(you know where), the serving size is disappointing. There are various prices on the different meats– which are not clearly marked(gets me every time!). Numerous sauces can be added onto your burrito– but not many salsas. I wish they had more fresh toppings, compared to bottled flavors. If there is a sign that identifies the different sauce choices, I have not noticed it. There are lots of overhead signs, but while walking down the line trying to tell them what you want– who wants to look up? I want to look down at the options and decide what looks tasty. Lastly– no one has ever been rude– but they aren’t particularly friendly, either. They work efficiently at their job, but don’t go out of the way to joke around or carry on a conversation.

Service was crappy. A bunch of high school kids standing around bs’ing with each other. Nacho portion was small and not with the money. I like the hot head in Eaton, OH.
