Once again I’m vegetarian and Big Boy carries Morning star foods which I love it’s the main reason I shop there. It’s an old school store open freezers and walk in the main door and walk thru the registers kinda cool piece of Escalon history.

I think their store is very neat and clean, but their produce is not up to par. good meat sales! The people that run the registers stink!!! Not their bodies but their attitudes, especially the slender petite lady! The owners and Gene are great!

I stopped going to that store years ago due to the always rude staff. I’ll gladly take my money to Marl-​Val. It’s about the same price, yet they have more convenient operating hours, a very friendly staff, and a much nicer store with more selection.

Escalon, CA
I moved to town a couple of years ago and made a committment to shop locally when possible. Big Boy is near my home. The staff is friendly and helpful. The store has a good stock considering its size and I can get most of my items here. Prices on some items can be a little high but that is true of most stores. It pays to shop the sales which are very good. Recycling is availble outside the store which means one less stop somewhere else.

Solid market in this sleepy little town on your way to Woodward.
A good selection of food and drinks at a reasonable price. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I can’t think of a better place to stop and get all of my grocery needs done.

Employees were friendly enough but the condition of the market is rather depressing. A good 60% of the lighting was either turned off or burned out, and the drink cooler near produce wasn’t cooling below 60 degrees. Also, there was greenish looking frozen meat across from the meat counter.
Suggestions:
–Fix the lighting, a brighter store will show off your merchandise.
–Fix or adjust or remove the drink cooler, running the refrigeration to only have it cool to 60 is a huge waste of money.
–Change wholesalers, Unified is bad news for you and your customers.

Whenever I drive by I wondered what this place was like. I also must confess that I have been on the hunt for Maruchan’s creamy chicken flavored noodles. It’s been years since I’ve had any and seen it in any grocery store.
Went in here on Sunday afternoon. It’s kind of like your typical Safeway/​Lucky store. Prices are cheaper and also comparable.
Found their Maruchan and Nissan rack in the middle of an aisle. They didn’t have creamy chicken flavor but they did have chicken mushroom.
I must admit, it’s been a VERY long day for me. I was a bit out fo it when I was paying for my items. I was a bit mean to the cashier cuz i thought he had overchanged me. But he didn’t. Sorry!

A nice grocery store with wonderful employees. I stopped in today just to get a drink and ended up picking several items. I felt very comfortable here although it seemed a little facilities seemed on the older side. The fresh produce looked clean and of good quality. I bought some Thompson’s red grapes and they were large, crisp and sweet. Everything seemed to be priced on the low side, and there were bargains on many of the isles.
