Take Out Experience: Called in the afternoon during rush hour(1PM) for lunch take out. I order the #4 combo: Tin Foil Chicken, Pork Chow Mein, and Pork Fried Rice. Told me that it would be ready 10 – 15 minutes. Came 18 – 20 minutes later and walked in to have the food ready for me to take. The employee running the cash register was kind and friendly. He said that he hope I enjoy the food and come back again. Brought the food to my car where immediately notice a leak in the styrofoam. Opened it up and obviously there was so much oil used in the making of every single item in the combo. Slippery and full of MSG. Super not healthy for you! Tin Foil Chicken was a little sicken after eating only two. Couldn’t finish the pork chow mein because was just stoked in oil while the fried rice was manageable but still oily. Take out came with chili sauce which basically saved the meal to add it flavor so that I could mask a little bit of that overwhelming oil taste. Giving two stars for the speed & readiness of the take out along with the friendly customer service, but not giving any additional stars for the food. Note: Asian food is my specialty. If you like, good for you! I’m just sharing my opinion and experience.

This place is the bomb! Been coming here since they were in Stockton but then closed. I’m from Stockton and still drive to Escalon just for this delicious food! Highly recommended! Sam and his family will make sure your a satisfied customer.

My fiancé and I normally order to go and I still experience great customer service. We usually get the orange chicken but my real favorite is the house shrimp. Honey walnut shrimp isn’t on the menu and I was disappointed at first. Now I’m disappointed in other restaurants because they don’t offer this house shrimp! Four stars because the chow mein could use more flavor.

So the chow mien is top notch my kids love the orange chicken but my favorites are fried green beans and asparagus the hot sauce is a must for those who like it spicy.

Decent food for the price… great value… teriyaki bowels and Chinese food. They have coke products. …that sucks. Go Pepsi!

This place is horrible. I ordered a double chicken rice bowl to go. I get home and start mixing the sauce in the rice bowl an I find a pubic hair in the rice bowl. My family will never eat at this disgusting restaurant again.

They have good service but the food is so plain. I have eaten here for lunch several times and find myself disappointed every time.

We LOVE rice bowl! My husband and I have teriyaki bowls at least once a week. I’ve had better Chinese food entrees from other restaurants, but they are fast, budget friendly, conveniently located, and very yummy!

I used to eat here obsessively when I lived in Escalon. There are definitely items that I think are ok, but some of them I love and can’t find anywhere else as delicious! It is not my favorite chow mein. My absolute favorite is their won ton soup and tin foil chicken. I like that they have so many options. I like the prices. I like how quickly they serve. :) Also, everyone is very polite! I will continue to support them anytime I go into Escalon.

Ended up going there after group changed mind. Did carryout. Sweet and sour chicken was horrible and had little taste. Little chicken was served just breaded mystery meat. Ever hear of pineapples? Others got chicken teriyaki which looked more edible. Pork fried rice was was bad and lo mein noodles were a pile of greasy bland noodles. Lowered review to 1 star. They give you a ton of rice and noodles. I hope the garbage can enjoyed it because that is where most of ended up.

Worst Chinese food Ever! Our first visit and our Last. We foolishly ordered a very large dinner for our family of 4. Strange flavors, overcooked shrimp, red sauce tasted like from a can. Just. unbelievably. bad. Wonton were ok. That is it. Our family’s advice: Don’t eat here.

Wonderful food and service. I have never been disappointed! Gotta get the chicken and shrimp rice bowl, substitute the rice for pork chow mein. You’re welcome!

I was not overly impressed with the taste of the food. I ordered the sweet and sour pork combo plate, plus a serving of the pork with vegetables. I will say that the pork with vegetables was indeed very tasty, but the sweet and sour pork did not have much flavor; it came with just a small amount of the sauce, which was not very sweet, and I thought they would have at least put a few pineapple, green peppers, onion slices in it, but it just came plain. Pork chow mein and fried rice was very bland tasting. I doubt if I will return.

On the way to Murphy’s to shoot a wedding at a local vineyard. We’re getting hungry… for some CHINESE food. i’d been craving some stir-fried vegetables and maybe some sliced chicken. We saw a sign out of the corner of our eyes — that we THOUGHT was the familiar font used for the«Flame Broiler’ chain of restaurants found in SoCal. Not this time — it was for the«Rice Bowl Express». Figured we’d try it. Oh my… WONDERFUL flavor. All the cool veges were there: waterchestnuts, cabbage(or bok choy), sliced carrots, sprigs of crisp broccoli, snowpeas, bean sprouts — and of course, the sliced and marinated chicken… yummy! Only thing was: it was SO hot, it took awhile to cool down to the point where i could TASTE the flavors themself. …and the portions were HUGE! Almost couldn’t eat it all. Great find! Now i have a reason to go Escalon again. Unfortunately, on our way back through, they hadn’t opened yet, so we had to leave and find another place to munch-out.
