Del Taco

I know it’s a fast food restaurant so it’s not going to be the best but wow. The girl making our food was standing around talking to her coworkers (they were cussing loudly) and texting! Touching her phone and making calls with no gloves! It was disgusting. It was on Father’s Day, she was in a hurry to get off her shift, is what I kept hearing her say.

DISGUSTING… the bathrooms, the eating area, the food prep area. Just shut it down!
How can the employees wash their hands with no soap dispensing in bathrooms? I hope they have a working sink and soap in the food prep area… Probably NOT

The food is consistent but the work area behind the counter is a mess. The dinning room is messy. No clean tables to sit at. I think the employees need to take a look at this and get busy. It’s not fun to come in and spend money on food but no where to eat that is clean.

If i could I would leave a negative review what’s the point of drive in services if they make u wait in your car for over 10 minutes and than you have to go inside and remind them about your order. They did not only do that to me but other people than the person in charge went back and argued with me like it was my fault didn’t even give an apology. The person in charge needs to be replace as she doesn’t even know what she is doing and is rude and incompetent.

Never in my life have I ever had someone working the drive-​through window be so rude I asked to have my order read back to me and she refused. She just barked out I’ve got your order right! so I just left .
That’s how you lose customers. This happened at 11:40 on Friday, April 8, 2016.

Dirty, slow. Management should be redeployed. Sorry, sorry restaurant. Two employees working the cooking and drive thru. Had to wait to place my order. Bathroom is only opened by a buzzer that workers control. Feels like county jail.

Food was good and the customer service was actually great for being a bunch of high school kids working behind the counter on a busy Saturday night. They only reason they got a 4 star rating the forgot my small fries with my order which was no big deal, because they gave me a large fries to make it up.

So I came in after school through the drive through and had the worst experience I’ve ever had. I’m a college student who gets the munchies A LOT! I live off of drive thrus… So for this to happen and be my worst experience ever is saying a lot.
I pulled up to the drive through and asked for a Cali steak and guac burrito… The employee replied with «you mean the Epic Cali steak and guac burrito?» Which isn’t what it says on the menu. So I said «no I don’t want the ‘epic’ one just the Steak and Guac burrito» and he replied «well that’s the only one we have». Well not according to your menu!
So I agreed and said «fine give me the epic one» he told me he’d give me the total at the window.
After paying for my burrito another employee asks me «sauce?»
My response «what kind do you have?» and then I get the most blank stare like I’ve asked a ridiculous question, so I ask again, «Do you have mild, hot, anything else?»
She said «yes» I think she forgot to answer the rest of the question
Cool «ill take mild» I said
So none of this is really a bad experience yet… Except for poor service
HERES WHAT REALLY GOT TO ME!
So I drive home after buying this «epic» burrito and there’s a broken pieces of plastic in my burrito! Does the epic burrito contain pits of physical contaminates? I chocked on my burrito… Who knows how many more pieces are inside? This was a disgusting experience and Del Taco seriously needs to reevaluate their operations
I work in food and beverage and I have my food handlers card, cmon Del Taco you weren’t even busy when I was there…

if you’re closed at 5:45am, than turn off the «Drive Thru Open Late» sign and also the menu board. Or put a sign on the drive up speaker. The lights were on and nobody was home. I’ve driven in this store many times about 5:30am, is this now the new hours?

On this visit ordered at 113pm recieved my food at 128 pm way to long! As I sit and wait i see trash is a huge issue at this location and keeping the lobby clean. It is busy about 5 ppl waiting in lobby and drive threw is 6 cars in, still no excuse. Over by the soda area its very Wet on floor, hazard! Tables we had to wipe off because they are so dirty. PLEASE help This store. We come from poway just for some del taco and I’m thinking I won’t be back… oh and again no shakes! Just as I get our food kid barfs and seriously took 10 min for someone to clean it up, no wet floor signs till after it was cleaned up. Another customer said there was poop dripped along the floor to bathrooms 2 weeks ago. Discussing! For sure won’t be back till this store gets its act together!

Recently I ordered at del taco through drive thru and was helping my bf put the drink in cup holders so they wouldn’t spill all over the place and as i was helping him with that the lady (younger one) handed him our food and my bf waited until i settled the drinks the girl tells us «DRIVE!» & her guy companion laughed I just looked at her with a face of confusion.
What is happening to the management and professionalism of the employees. Things really need to get fixed, never will revisit this del taco again.

An employee made a burn victim cry in this location. This place sucks! Go to taco bell. Better yet go to tijuana for mexican food not white washed del crapo!

I used to enjoy this location very much, but it seems like the franchise has either changed hands or they’ve come under new management in recent months. The service has declined as well as the overall appearance of the dining room.
The upholstery in the booths looks like it’s not been cleaned in ages — it’s turning brown. The ketchup dispenser, air conditioning system*and bathroom door locks are all broken (the doors are on a buzzer system and it wouldn’t release). There was a really cool multi-​choice drink machine that is now gone which is a huge disappointment for my kids. The machine they’ve got now never seems to have the syrup to fizz ratio correct so drinks are too sweet and not fuzzy enough.
The counter «help» need more customer service training as they got our order wrong. Then they ignored my husband when he went to ask to get buzzed into the restroom (which he never got into because of the broken door locks).
This was our go-​to Del Taco; we will take our burrito/​cheddar fry/​chicken soft taco cravings elsewhere in the future.
*The A/​C has been on the fritz for at least two weeks. The first time we noticed it was broken there were two service people trying to repair it. Neither seemed to know what they were doing and managed to blow dust and debris all over the counter and drink dispenser. To make up for the non-​functioning unit there was a pair portable swamp-​coolers taking up valuable space where customers stand to place orders and get drinks. The swamp-​coolers were still there on our visit today.

I love the food here. Nothing better than the BEANS! The tortillas are always hot and fresh which is amazing on the burritos. I eat here at least once a week and its always very good and the staff is very friendly. The only down side is they recently got rid of their Coke Machine with the 100 Flavors… I really miss it.

They continuously get my drive thru order wrong, and tonight they forgot 3 whole tacos from the order!

My family and I went there for dinner. The first thing we noticed was a supervisor or manager had gloves on. She was handling everything including food with the same gloves. That was nauseating. I noticed how rude she was to the staff and the quests. We were completely ignored so we left. As we went outside we noticed someone throwing up. YUCK! I would assume that they got sick eating there.
Since we were in the area again in the evening we thought we would give them one more try. Again same things happened. The same female supervisor was there being rude to the employees and ignored us. This time we noticed a man that had gloves on handling food and dirty pans, etc. Needless to say, that will be the last time we ever go back there.
Do yourself a favor for your health and don’t go there.

I frequent this location because it’s easy to get to, close to work and their staff are so friendly! The dining area and lobby are always clean and so are the restrooms at least whenever I’ve needed to use it… Lol I love their strawberry lemonade and soft grilled chicken tacos! Thanks for consistently providing cheap and delicious ears!

We still eat here ALL the time. I still can’t figure out how I’m not the duchess, but I’ll keep up the check ins and who knows!
I love this Del Taco. It’s very clean and the staff are very friendly. During the week I hit the drive thru at least once per week and my husbnad eats here almost EVERY weekend for Sunday breakfast. If I’m out shopping with him, I’m there, too.
The new menu is okay… they kind adjusted the prices around but mostly kept the same menu. It’s a little weird, mostly I just order things the way I want them and don’t even use the menu, but it’s all good. What I like is they are super flexible on what you order and even try to help you find the cheapest way to order. There are a few employees who come and go, but there are also some regulars who have been around a while and you get to know them.
We really like that they leave the hot sauce out on the tables now and the remodel of this location was great. It’s like a new place. Love it. I RARELY have issues with my food at this location and of course, it’s handy to home.
