Went in last week to order just a simple pepperoni pizza with cheese bread. Told me order will be ready 20 mins. Came back order got taken by someone I asked them what do you mean, they said we don’t know how that happened so they put in another order waiting another 20 almost over an hour and I asked is my order of cheese bread ready, lady over the counter supposedly the manager cause she was wearing the green shirt said oh I forgot to butter them so obviously the cheese bead order had not been made. After waiting an hour I just asked for my money back. I swear a person with a low iq could have done a better job. Go to pizza Hut food is better and they know what they are doing it don’t know what’s up with this papa John’s location I just think they don’t focus on their work which could even be dangerous

I have called Papa John’s in the past and always great service and my order is always delicious. I read a bad review of Tiffany and can’t disagree more. She is polite, patient and professional. She took the time to take my convoluted order with ease and repeated the order exactly. Told me pizza would be delivered within 30 to 45 minutes. As always, worth the wait!

Dont understand how this place has 2 stars i have only used this location for the years i have lived in escondido i have had no issues. Tonight i came in to pick up my pizza when my husband got there the pizza was not there the delivery man accidentally brought it to my house instead. They gave me my pizza free or charge for a mess up on their end. I will continue to get my pizza from here thank you for treating your customers so well.

I live 4.02 miles miles away and the website said,” they will not deliver my address”. I had a online purchase code if ordered online(SO i had to fill out a on line account! which giving my EMAIL). When i called the closest papa johns store kid seem’ed like he had to much going on with the loud girl in the store… laughing(grab ass-ing)i was kinda wanting to know why they would not drive already placed order of $ 46.71 to a location …4.02 miles away… i know it isn’t the delivery driver saying, «NO» to a tip. Thanks papa johns !!! Round Table delivered WHENPAPACOULDN’T!!! It was worth the extra few bucks… JUST to let the person reading this from PAPAJOHNS… round table is 2.2 miles way on country club and DELIVERS! keep you peepers and garlic dipping sauce. This was on Sunday… I have received 3 emails since i started my account on Sunday and it is now Wednesday. I called the 1 – 800 number and asked to be taken off the email list, and delete my account with them. guess we will see how that goes… never going to eat papa john pizza again!.. good luck

We ordered the chicken margarita pizza with pesto but we could barely taste the pesto it was more like a regular pizza. we were disappointed because we had a chicken margarita pizza at the Twin Oaks location in San Marcos and it was wonderful but this was disappointing

This review is specific to this location. I love Papa Johns pizza compared to most other delivery chains, but this locations customer service sucks, specifically Tiffany, she is very rude and acts like you are a complete inconvenience for even being there. While I was there she told a man he could not use a 50 because she didn’t have change in probably the most bitchiest tone I’ve ever heard, I could tell the man wasn’t very happy with her tone either, his total was 34 and some change and he asked«you don’t have 15 and some change» and she gave more attitude. Not fit for customer service imo.

The pizza was good, but a bit pricy compared to other pizza joints. I paid 12.99 for a large 1 topping pizza and only took about 20 minutes to get my order. The staff is friendly, but they all seem depressed and sad when you speak to them. It’s okay place for fast food pizza.

Walked in to pick up my carry out and was greeted by a bunch of backs turned. No one was attentive to greet me. When I said«hello» they scattered like flies. It was like last(hu)man standing, left to take my order. I had waited 25 minutes already for 1 large supreme pizza for $ 17. It was lukewarm and they forgot garlic sauce and peppercinis I had requested over the phone. I Don’t recommend.

I usually don’t order from papa johns but I decided to give it a chance. That was a mistake. The pizza came lukewarm and did not taste good at all. I had one piece. Also, the peppers that come in the box looked like the juice was already squeezed out of them. NEVER ordering from this place again.

I just ordered $ 60 worth of pizza, wings, and bread sticks. One of the pizzas was totally the wrong pizza. I’m totally not a complainer so I just went with it. About 20 minutes later the guy came back and brought the right pizza. Apologized for the wrong delivery and was totally awesome! All the pizzas were amazing and I just was really pleased with the service. I never called because the pizza I did get was fine as well but it was really great customer service not to mention delicious pizza! 5 Stars for service and taste from me!

This post is specifically pointed towards the branch location not the Papa Johns product. I had placed an order on line, which they push very hard for us to do. It brings their overhead down when they dont have to have someone answer the phone to manually take your order. But heaven for bid you need to make a change after the order has been placed. Tonight, i placed a simple order of pizzas, family wanted desert, so i called the store to add the brownies. Well, because i chose to use their online ordering system, and i applied a promo code, i could not add the brownies to the order without cancelling the entire order and oh, btw, i could not do any of this over the phone. I was told by the employee i had to do it online. So, i said, ok, no big deal. I go back online, my pizza is cooking at the same time, order the brownies and they charged me a delivery charge again. So i call back again to ask if they can simply waive the delivery charge of $ 3 for $ 6 brownies and the guy i was talking to had a major attitude and without saying a word to me, handed the phone to Alexis the manager and said«you handle this, he wants to cancel his order». Alexis was far from helpful. I asked her if she could waive the delivery fee, she said she could not do that. I then suggested to make it a pickup order instead of delivery, she said no and she would get written up. And not only would she not refund the deliver fee, but when i told her to cancel my brownie order, she said no problem but that i would not be refunded for at least 2 business days. Its hard to believe they let it go this far and i promise they lost a customer today.

This is place is run by a bunch of weirdos They all seem to be drug users and I don’t judge by looks I judge by behaviors. I wouldn’t go here if my life depended on it. God knows what happens back there lol. I wonder if corporate ever even visits them . At least both experiences I’ve been here the team members all seem to be on something probably weed. And they are all cursing/slang in the back. Just do your self a favor and avoid it.

The pizza at Papa Johns really does have better ingredients and a lot of them! You can taste the difference. Our pizza was so good we will be ordering from here from now on. Thank god I can order here instead of Dominoes cause the Dominoes on Lincoln ave sucks, it’s always dry and cold with barely any toppings.

I just had the most unpleasant experience when speaking with the General Manager, Kerry(possibly Carrie), at this Papa Johns location. Earlier in the afternoon, I ordered two pizzas, one large cheese(for myself) and one large veggie(for my husband). I ordered my pizza in the afternoon and ate a few slices of pizza with no incident. My husband arrived from work around 9:30pm and when he went to eat his pizza, he discovered a tiny black roach in the pizza box. I called the Papa Johns I ordered from and told them about the discovery, my words verbatim were, «there was a cockroach in the box» I did not specify on the size, color, or anything else and once the girl on the receiver heard my complaint she passed the phone to Kerry, the general manager. Kerry proceeded to tell me she had worked at this Papa Johns since 1999 and that they had never had a roach on the premises. She implied that my story lacked credibility. She also said that leaving the box unattended could have something to do with the roach to which I asked her if she was implying that the roach came from my own home. I stated to her that if she was questioning the veracity of my claim, what would be my underlying motive as I have previously ordered from this establishment many times and have never once before called with a complaint. She then proceeded to check if I had, in fact, ordered from this establishment previously and then said that she had no record of any orders and the last order was in March and it was for a carry-out order. I told her that I did not understand the purpose of this conversation and what she intended to prove and if she would like proof of previous orders via email confirmation, bank statements, or something similar as it is clear that she did not believe that we were frequent customers. She then accused me of being rude and threatened to hang up on me. I said I was not intending to be rude and that I had thought she was being incredibly rude throughout this entire exchange. She offered to bring a new pizza and I said I was not interested in a new pizza as this entire exchange made me weary of receiving food from their establishment and I couldn’t be fully trusting that the food would not be tampered with based on this incredibly hostile exchange. She became accusatory once again and hung up the phone. I called back and asked for the name and number of the owner but she refused to give it to me and instead gave me the number to the local franchise office. She then said that she would never service my household again. I let her know that I was not terribly worried about this as Papa Johns is a franchise and therefore I could simply seek out quality food from another franchise. She then stated that she planned to call all the other local franchises and tell them not to serve my household. She told me never to call back and made other unpleasant comments. I am well aware of how poor customer service/retail/and other customer oriented professional are treated and as such I try very hard to not be rude or hostile and I believe I kept my composure when speaking to her but this exchange has left me perplexed and greatly upset. She was incredibly defensive and I wholly admit that a defensive person may find someone rude, negative, deceptive even when they are not and therefore I don’t doubt that she truly perceived me to be those things but this is definitely not how to properly handle a customer complaint.

I love Papa Johns pizza. I’ve been ordering from this location for four years now. I’ve never had an issue with them until the last couple of months. Pizza is taking over an hour every time. Pizza is warm when it gets here, but it’s not the gooey cheese that I’m normally use to. Hopefully they step up their game soon to remedy this.
