came here last night after work really craving there chicken burrito especial, phoned in my order ahead of time so I did t have to wait. when I got home my burrito was filled with hard crunchy rice that must have been old or something couldn’t even eat it. when your charging 8 $ for a burrito it should be delicious. Very upsetting.

Love this Rubio’s. The only reason for 4 stars is because they play their music too LOUD!

I work VERY close to this location and I am frequently buying lunch from here. My absolute favorite is Mahi Burrito! Often I place a phone order so that it is ready when I get there and just head to the front of the line to pay and pick up. The staff is great, always so courteous and kind. Very friendly. The place is also very well kept. You’ll never find a single employee just«hanging out». They’re always working, cleaning and catering to their customers. Love it here and will always come. Parking lot can be a bit crowded at times, so may have to be patient about that.

Came here with my girlfriend because she really wanted a steak burrito and I was craving one of their Cali bowls. The manager(Jessica) had a rude attitude and looked like she hated her job. I really didn’t care because I came for the food but that attitude bugged me. Anyways I paid, got my drink, and before I could even sit down there comes Jessica with my bowl and slides it down a table says«ready» and walks away tf I swear I almost lost it but I didn’t wana ruin it for my gf. Their food was shystie and old save yourself some time and head over to San Marcos at least they make you feel welcomed and their food is quality the way it’s supposed to be. And Jessica lose that attitude or get yourself a different job

Just ordered 10 fish tacos from here and usually they are good but tonight we got all batter and a small I would say 1⁄8 ” of fish in the whole taco, every taco was like this, don’t know of they are trying to cut costs because of taco Tuesday or what but no stars for this store

Recently we just discovered Rubios and we love it! Well we love the San Marcos location should I add. We just realized we have one here in Escondido and I can say its worth going to San Marcos instead of risking food poisoning. Two days ago we came in for fish tacos and was very disturbed by the way Anna(Manager) let our food just sitting on the line while just having a conversation with another employee. My husband was staring her down to see if she would serve us our food still. Sure enough she comes over with our food and my husband let her know she was not going to be serve food to us that has been just sitting up their for quite awhile. She said I’ll make you a new one. What does Anna do??? She goes back to the girl that was still standing their with our plates still in her hand and started talking again. My husband was actually pretty polite to her when he interrupted her conversation and ask her if she really was going to continue her conversation instead of remaking our food. It all boiled down to us getting our money back and leaving. Such a shame Anna. You should NOT be a manager.

I love their food. Always have. Everything is so fresh and has so much flavor. I usually order their burritos and have never been disappointed with anything!

The worst Rubios I’ve ever been to. We have given them several chances, and every time they fail. First, they take a long time to have your order ready, and there is plenty of kitchen help, 2nd of all, tonight we ordered burritos, and they tasted like they poured a whole thing of salt, plus I had some burnt steak, and some that were cooked in my burrito. Let’s just say our whole family meal cost $ 45 and tasted very awful. This is not the first time. Will never go there again! Please do not waste your money and time.

This place is a great choice for dinner on a Tuesday. The fish tacos on Tuesday are $ 1.50 each after 2:30PM every Tuesday. My wife and I come here mostly on Tuesdays to take advantage of this. The food here is really good. The fish tacos are very fresh. You can tasty the crunchiness of the fish in every bite! I usually order the fish burrito. It comes with a side of chips. You can’t go wrong with either the fish taco or fish burrito. Those are my go to orders when I come here. The location isn’t that bad. Sometimes there a lot of homeless people out in the front parking lot that makes it a little weird. But overall, this place is good. There’s indoor and outdoor seating. We typically eat inside so that the food is fresh. The workers are nice and friendly. We’ve never had a bad experience eating here. I’ll definitely be coming back for more fish tacos/burritos!

Love this place. I love rubios in general. A bit pricey, but the food is great(minus the refried beans :0/) The staff is nice even when it is taco tuesday and crazy inside. I get the veggie burrito and it is so filling. You get way more bang for your buck than some of the other ones and top it off with a class of sangria(um yes please!) or a Corona if you prefer beer and you are set! For a «fast food» type place it is way better then hitting the burger drive thru. You can call ahead to if you prefer taking the food home and then you miss the crowd and enjoy your food at home!

Its basically like the Rubios you’ve gone to… except this one is in East Escondido. The Staff is super polite and the restaurant is immaculately clean from the bathroom to the salsa bar. There is an outdoor patio to enjoy as well. The food is… once again… like you’ve eaten before at Rubios. Nothing spectacular or radically different. The only reason I come to this Rubios is because its across from the Home Depot that I go to when my Rental property needs attention. So if you need a super clean place to eat and want some thing on the familiar side, do drop by. If not for the food, then come on in to be treated like a human being by nice people. Cheers.

Wow! This rubios used to be good, but today is my 3rd visit in which there is not even enough fish to go half way across the tortilla! Management has really dropped their standards at this location. Thank goodness there is a Chipotle near.

Good seafood at an affordable price. If you want to eat here on Taco Tuesday, call in to place your order. They will let you know how long the order will cook. That way you don’t have to wait long at the restaurant to grab your food. You still have to wait in line to pay for your order but it will be done pretty fast.

Ok, guys, fish tacos are totally a thing in San Diego, right? I always thought that was a thing. That if you wanted the best fish tacos, you either had to go to Baja or just down to San Diego. So, during my last(and first) trip to SD, I asked my bf who grew up there to take me to the best fish tacos. He had no idea what I was talking about. «San Diego burritos, I can show you those,» he said. But I was left to internet research in order to find fish tacos. The internet led me here.(ok, so the internet didn’t tell me they were the best, but they were in the top 10). I will say… they were good. The fish tasted fresh, the sauce was tasty, the batter crisp. there was nothing wrong with this fish taco. But, it wasn’t necessarily mind blowing. I’ll continue my research the next time I’m in town.

Been coming here for 20 years. You have to try their fish tacos, and make sure you order it «especial» you will not be disappointed. Typical bottled beers only.. By far best fish tacos i have ever had at a chain style restaurant, better than must taco shops too

Expensive and somewhat bland, but in a reliably bland way. Highlight for me might be the baja style fish burrito. This location’s manager is out and about cleaning up the place, taking orders and picking up after guests. Nice standard that others should learn from. I go there maybe twice a year.
