This place has a fairly decent BBQ on Saturdays, I would recommend the ribs and Mac and cheese. Only downside was the portions were extremely small for the price. For 11 bucks you would hope for more than 4 ribs. Still worth trying if you are looking for good food and an amazingly friend staff

We like Rocky’s, they do a good job. This is a simple corner pizza shop, and honestly it’s a pretty good take on NY pizza. This is not a fancy place with amazing Italian dishes, but if your expectations are good pizza, maybe some ice cream and a playground for the kids… this is your place. I give it 5 stars because this place does pizza well.

Love Rockys pizza and their calzones! Great New York style pizza! We are from NY and when we first moved to Vermont we were in south Burlington and had a hard time finding a decent pizza place. Once we moved to Essex junction and found Rockys we couldn’t have been happier. I definitely prefer being in NY and getting NY pizza, but they are a great replacement. They are friendly and quick and the ice cream is good too!

I grew up having Rocky’s Pizza on a number of occasions, and now that i’m gluten free, they make a pretty good specialty pizza pie. Very soft(not hard crust) and different than their original pizza, but worth the price.

Rocky’s has been here for ever. I can not say that I stop here to often but when I do it always reminds of why I never really come here. On Saturday it was hot and humid out! So me and friend had gone down to Rocky’s for a cremee. Needless to say it was ok over all but the service was pretty lacking. I had gone to the window to give them my order and they girl seemed more annoyed than anything else. Also a medium cremee will set you back around $ 3.20. I thought Al’s was expensive… On top of that the cremees seemed way to sweet. I know it must sound funny to complain about but I really like the creamy factor of any soft serve ice cream. Am I a bit picky? Sure but ice cream is my first love! So I should be. So in the end it left a lot to be desired. Service was lacking and the taste was just far to sweet for me and my liking.

I wanted to buy a few slices quick before seeing a movie, this was the closest place and decided to give it a try. NEVERAGAIN. When I walked in at 5:45 on 5/7, I was invisible to the woman behind the counter, as her attention was fully upon the man she was flirting with. I was not the only customer she was ignoring, either. She literally ignored me to write down her name and number to give to him, then huffed at me once she decided I existed, as if I was to blame for interrupting her good times on the clock. As if that wasn’t enough, her paramour came in halfway as I was ordering three slices of pizza, and apparently that order is too unimportant for her to keep her attention span in one place as she contiued to flirt with a man who could have been her father. I paid TWELVEDOLLARS for two small fountain drinks and three slices of pizza, which is ridiculous. I even tipped this woman right off the bat, which was clearly a mistake. Trying to get past this, my friend and I found a booth to sit down in easily as no-one else was there. The female employee’s love life must have kept her from cleaning, because every table, window and booth in the place was visibly dirty. We had to clean off our own booth to sit in!!! Being on a tight time schedule, I noticed that it had been far too long for our three simple slices of pizza, and lo and behold the lovely lady managed to drag herself out of the bathroom, purposely avoiding eye contact with me, and disappeared into the kitchen. She had been in there so long I forgot she went to the bathroom in the first place(probably texting, I used to work in foodservice too, I know the signs). This was the last time I saw her. It was clear at this point that she had completely forgotten about our slices the second she put them in the oven, bravo. After ten more minutes had gone by, I went up to the counter and asked a male employee where they were. I was curtly told that they were coming right out, thirty seconds later three half-warmed slices of pizza appeared, pepperoni and cheese looking rubbery and sweatier than a Biggest Loser contestant doing cardio. As he handed the slices to me, he casually mentioned that the first batch of slices had indeed been burnt– my suspicions were correct. They managed to screw up reheating slices of pizza. No apology or attempt at professional mannerisms were taken, though one of the guys did thank us and say goodbye when we left, so thanks, dude, at least leaving was pleasant. The«pizza» itself was the kind of cardboard-and-diluted-tomato-paste disc you get at Pizza Putt on all-you-can-eat night for five dollars per person. I hesitate to give it the title of pizza. Cannot believe I paid so much for it. I bought more food after somewhere else because we were both hungry. Oh, and we were late to the movie. I didn’t bother asking for a refund because I just wanted to get out of there fast. Priorities. I grew up here, so did the friend I was with, and we love supporting local businesses, probably eat out more than we should. We realized there was a reason we have never gone to Rocky’s more than once that whole time. And honestly, if it hadn’t been for that ONE brunette behind the counter, the entire experience could have been different, even with the almost-mediocre pizza. But I’ve seen enough and will continue to bring my business elsewhere. You have been warned.

I was born and raised on Long Island and I am sorry, there is NOTHING«NY» about this pizza. The crust is flat, the sauce is ‘eh” and there is way too much cheese… often undercooked and always greasy. The ice cream stand is OK but your’e way better off at a regular Creemee stand. Also they are WAYTOOEXPENSIVE. I took my three kids here, we got a slice and a soda each and the bill was close to $ 30. Yikes. We never order pizza from Rocky’s. Sorry to say.

Ordered a pizza for pickup and was pleasantly surprised. If you’re into greasy, gooey, slices that you can fold in half than this place has the pizza you’re looking for. I couldn’t imagine eating here though, as the actual décor is a little rough. Still, it’s hard to find a good slice of greasy pizza around here and Rocky’s delivers.

Just Discovered that Rocky’s has gluten free pizza, so of course, I had to try it. I’ve never had Rocky’s before. Their regular pizza always looked soggy with too much crust so I was a bit skeptical when it was suggested. But I dove… So first of all their sauce is amazing. That surprised me because good Italian sauce is hard to find in Vermont. The crust was Ok — a bit on the soggy side. Toppings were ok too. I would go back, but probably only regularly if Upper Crust Pizza in Essex starts to taste bad to me… Glad I tried it and that I have a second option. They are definitely better than American Flatbread though!

Consistently the best, traditional pizza around! The crust has a perfect chewy-ness and a perfect thickness. We also love to top off our meal with a Rockslide(Blizzard) or a good ol VT creemee! Rocky’s atmosphere is extremely casual and chock full of white, red & green décor. There are also a lot of outdoor picnic tables that are full on beautiful spring, summer & fall days with long lines at the outdoor creemee windows! Rocky, the owner, is extremely active in the community and is the one who started the Penguin Plunge to benefit Camp Ta-Kum-Ta, a camp for children with, and survivors of, cancer. If you want some delicious pizza and are in the area, stop on in. You won’t be disappointed! They also do sandwiches, pizza-by-the-slice, pasta & salads. Can’t speak for any of those because I’m really happy with what we get each time we go. They also deliver and you can also stop in to buy their dough for close to nothing(although we never do it justice!).
