Lehman’s is a fantastic old school restaurant the type of which is becoming more and more rare as people chase the latest trendy byo or boutique place. I come here often for lunch and have never had a bad meal. Prime rib, grilled chicken salads, made from scratch soups, broiled seafood platters, etc. Don’t let the reviews fool you; the regulars here aren’t exactly the Unilocal types(neither am I to be honest) but the food is fresh and reasonably priced. We recently dined here for Thanksgiving dinner as most of the family was away. We couldn’t have left more satisfied. The place was jammed and they must have turned over the tables four times that evening. The turkey was perfect, the help was on point, and the bill was half of what we would have paid in the city. I’d like the crew and management to know that as someone who grew up in the business and spent years managing restaurants, their efforts are noticed and very much appreciated. Keep it up! Thanks!

This is a cozy restaurant with an aging but charming lounge. The waitstaff is very good and friendly. The food is moderately priced. I had the veal marsala and it was excellent! If you find yourself in the area, give it a try even if you’re alone. They make you feel right at home.

Great old school bar and restaurant! They provide a ride to and from our hotel by the airport. Staff and patrons were so friendly and the food was filling and delish! We would defiantly return when staying in Philly.

This used to be an old favorite of mine when landing in Philadelphia. I would say nothing has changed in 30 years, including the carpeting. We ordered the crabcakes they were good –nothing special I am surprised they can still charge these prices, however, there is nothing else in this neighborhood. The service was good food mediocre. Probably won’t come back until there is a new management.

Pretty bad. I asked for the chef’s special expecting fresh. It was medallions of beef stuffed with crab imperial. What came was a deep fried breaded pounded out cutlet rolled around some crab meat. Very pricey for truly bad food. Don’t go there.

I base my ratings on price, food, service and how comfortable the setting is… I was really nervous trying this place after I read some of the reviews. So I went in expecting not to come out happy, well I was WRONG because all 4 of us left VERY happy. FOOD: We all ordered the seafood combo $ 33.99 a bit pricey I thought but MAN was it great! You get more then enough food with it. Salads were very good. I never had scallops so good. PRICE: A bit pricey but you get what you pay for. SERVICE: Outstanding. COMFORTABLE: Very. We will be going back! The ONLY cons would be it smelled a bit as you walked in, a wee outdated and the snapper soup was awful but my husband liked it so go figure. :/

Average family owned seafood restaurant. Decided to have dinner here as they offer hotel pick-ups in the area. And because there isnt much available in the area either. I was surprised by the cheesesteak onion soup, which tasted pretty good. Also had the chef’s combo with baked potato and garlic cauliflower. Best item was the bacon wrapped shrimp yum.

Nearby the Holiday Inn Express Hotel only 7 minutes by feet. We took the Cheeseburger Deluxe. Tasted really good. The focus is definitively on seafood but the Arne several other good looking dishes. But … I have no idea how to eat like the americans do. I do the European Style with knife AND fork.

Stopped in and quickly regretted my decision. Slow service on a slow night. The dinner salad was horrible… old veggies and limp wilted lettuce and at these prices. I almost walked out as I sat there just waiting for the server to take my order. The cocktail and tartar sauce were in little plastic cups with the lid still on. Wow!

A group of us were in the area for work this week and one of them recommended this place based on previous experiences. I’m not sure most of us would recommend it to anyone. The only good part was our waitress. Personally I hated the smoke smell when you walk in although others may not mind it. We waited for a while to get our tables together which was fine until the hostess and server decided to bicker in front of the customers the entire time, it was like having dinner and a show. I ordered the stuffed broiled flounder with twice baked potato and apple sauce. The flounder was crispy/black on bottom and the dish wasn’t hot at all. The potato and apple sauce were good. I don’t mind paying for good food, this food wasn’t even worth half the cost.

Amazing 70s themed restaurant! Wood paneling everywhere smoking at the bar and a swordfish on the wall! Everything about this spot is classic, but in great shape! If this were in Seattle hipsters would decend upon it like locusts. :)

I would say the food was average. I got the grilled salmon and it was a tad over cooked. They have a fairly big menu selection focusing on steaks, seafood, and Italian dishes. The steak selection was not very wide and the Italian portion was missing some of the standard dishes. The service was excellent and the prices were just a touch high, but you do receive a lot of good for the money.

My wife and I almost didn’t go there because of the many posts complaining about second hand cigarette smoke, but at the last second we said let’s go see for ourselves. We are both sensitive to smoking, and through our whole meal never detected smoke from the bar. The food was excellent, the portions were large, and the service was extremely friendly. We’ll be back without hesitation.

Food was so-so: had the seafood combination and it came almost cold which means they are not cooked on demand. On the other hand the oysters and scallops had a very strong fishy taste… Obviously not fresh at all. Next time I’m staying in the area(just because near the airport) I’ll go somewhere else for sure

You get a ton of food for paying so little. I’d skip the bread. I ordered the crab stuffed shrimp and it came with a salad and two sides. The salad was all iceburg but it came with their house cucumber dressing which is amazing. My shrimp was pretty good, packed with lots of crab. The coleslaw is really good and creamy. The sautéed mushrooms were extremely salty. My coworker ordered the potato soup and loved it. Seemed to enjoy his crab cakes and beets. Friendly service. Décor is a little dark but it’s a cute little find.

I have been here several times, I would not go back. Menu has been same for 20 years. Still cant get it right. Each time ordering surf and turf and was disappointed. Way to expensive for what you get and the service. Both were slathered in butter to the point it was all you could taste. Steak not cooked right, the baked potato was overdone. Drinks and meal was overpriced and not worth the time. Service was friendly but slow. Dark and depressing. Dirty, dingy feeling to the whole place, dirty bathrooms. Smoke in a food establishment(from the bar) is unacceptable. Like an old boys club.

I’m surprised by some of the negativity of the reviews. The food is old-style but very good. If you’re looking for nouvelle cuisine, go elsewhere. This is a steak and seafood joint, and it’s the kind of 50s-60s food that makes you feel like you had a real meal. Yes, the décor is ancient with wood paneling and colonial chairs. Yes, the place needs an update, but it’s in the ass end of nowhere near the Philly airport, and there’s not much incentive for an update. The service is excellent. We walked in there with a party of 7 and we were all accommodated. One member of our party was a vegetarian and there are NO vegetarian options on the menu, so they custom made him an alfredo dish loaded with veggies. He loved it. I had the prime rib and it was great. Everyone was very happy with their meals. We’d had a particularly bad meal at our hotel the night before, so this was stellar compared to that. I am knocking off a star for the ridiculous amount of cigarette smoke. The attached bar is considered separate and smoking is allowed, and it’s disgusting. The place smells like old cigarettes. I felt like I was on a Mad Men set. Food: great. Service: excellent and very accommodating. Décor: meh Smoke: ick.

Definitely has an Irish feel about it. Bar is friendly and well-stocked. Food was ok — I got the feeling that liquor is what they serve here, more than food.

There’s not much worth eating near the Airport and this place fits right in. The service was friendly. The portions are huge but I would agree with most of the other reviews. The food was just okay to below average. The place has a real early 60’s feel to it including the menu. There is really nothing on the menu that is fresh or contemporary. Lots of fried or broiled and swimming in butter. The décor is in need of an update. I guess if you fly into Philly, pack a dinner!
