Cookies is frozen custard as good as frozen custard here gets! It’s not ice cream oh no and it’s not frozen by nitrogen like the hipsters do in my neighborhood no this is good old fashion custard done right!
The special of the day was Butter Pecan but I got into the chocolate and vanilla!
Don’t settle for ice cream, come over here and get your frozen custard!

This place is amazing. They make delicious fresh custard daily. They have 3 flavors every day: vanilla, chocolate and a daily flavor (which is listed on their facebook page:
). All the custard is made fresh daily and with real ingredients (for example, the banana custard is made with real bananas, not banana flavoring). It is softer than traditional ice cream, but it is not soft serve. The owners are also really nice and took the time to chat with us and explain all about making the custard. Would highly recommend a stop at this wonderful ice cream shop.

1st review in over a year for me. but I was inspired by the excellent rich and wonderful custard. Similar style to the famous «east coast custard» I grew to love on mayfield road in Cleveland area… the Chicago style hot dogs look great too.

Great custard — made fresh daily… vanilla, chocolate and a flavor of the day like egg nog, banana, red raspberry and mint chocolate chip. Lots of toppings and mix ins plus homemade whipped cream. Across from coconut point in the Jimmie John’s strip mall. Yum!

Amazing custard!!! Mom and Pop shop at its best. My favorite is the hot fudge brownie with vanilla custard. Everything is made in house– down to the whipped cream on top!

Delicious! We had the blueberry buckle sundae and the brownie sundae. Also love the owner’s story, Chicago stock trader turned custard shop owner! Prices were very reasonable. Hope this small business continues to thrive.
