I’m really glad my grandma can’t use the internet, so she can never find out that their lentil soup is the best I have every had! Sorry Grandma… I have only been there once, but will be back again. Inexpensive, home cooked comfort food to take or eat there. I didn’t sample the deli products but they seemed expansive and I’m sure are also delicious. Stop in for lunch one weekend! It’s across the street from Walmart, so maybe whatever you lost of your soul while shopping there you can reclaim here via homemade schnitzel.

Tremendous. I’ve been wanting to try this for some time and it was excellent. Two ladies preparing fresh, made to order German food. I had a bowl of goulash and the Jaegerschnitzel with mushroom sauce and sauerkraut. It was delicious. The person I was with had roast pork and spratzel. They loved it. Cherry strudel for dessert(took it home). I will definitely be back. During season, I bet this place is jammed.

What a great find! From the outside of a generic looking business center, you walk in by an inviting case of all these awesome German deli meats, cheese, streudel, and the sounds of whatever will be in your future on a plate and in your belly. The aesthetics may throw some people off for dining in, but the food speaks for itself. They also have a grocery aisle that houses pantry items, frozen foods and German chocolates… and every German counter can’t complete without having some Mozartkugeln staring at you! At the time, we were the only ones there because we had a late lunch, but there’s not a lot of wiggle room to maneuver around, so I can’t imagine what it would be like in the craziness of season. There are a few small tables situated in the front of the deli, so I don’t recommend any large groups for dining in. I ordered a liverwurst sandwich with a horseradish sauce, onion and pickles on rye. Although it was a thin spread of liverwurst, the amount was a perfect balance with the rest of the sandwich. It also came with one side. I chose their potato salad. What looked like a warm potato salad served in a ramekin, it had a nice vinegar tart taste to the potato salad to play off the richness of everything else. This little discovery has some great exposure from 41 but you’ll have to do a U-turn if you’re coming from the south. I’ll definitely have to go back and try some of their brats and other specials. It’s refreshing to know that there are authentic places that go beyond the surplus of Italian and Japanese/Thai restaurants in the area. It’s a good casual place to pick up a sandwich and go, so if you’re not wanting to waste your time in trekking into places like Coconut Point, or any other large retail center along 41, check this place out. 25 – 2015

They need more help during season. I ordered chicken schnitzel, potato salad, red cabbage and potato pancakes. I was very pleased at how quickly the food came out, but I received raw chicken schnitzel and overly vinegary, cold potato salad. The cabbage was alright, but was also very vinegary and had no flavor. The potato pancakes were seasoned well, but quite greasy. They corrected the schnitzel mistake, but with several people waiting at the counter, it took a while to stand in line and get their attention. It’s nice to have somewhere to buy german foods you can’t get anywhere else, but do not eat here!

Check out the German Deli Spot. Everything is great! I’ve been there a few times. Brats, spaetzle, etc. are really authentic and high quality. It was my first time trying leberkase… what a treat! They have uncooked food in the case to take home or they’ll prepare your lunch or dinner. The ladies behind the counter are nice and it is in a brand new building.
