This is our absolute favorite place to stay when visiting the Rockies. It’s a cute, quiet inn right on the Fall River– just 3 miles to the entrance of RMNP and less than 2 miles into downtown Estes Park. The owners are very nice, rooms are clean, decorated appropriately, and have all the amenities you need. They also have DVD players in the rooms and a DVD library in the main office if you want a relaxing night in. For the location and price, it’s great!!!

Stayed here two nights and wish for much longer. Very clean, comfortable, quaint room and on the quieter side of Estes. And quite gorgeous grounds. Not fancy but glad it wasn’t, great to hear the river babbling outside of our room.

Altho I’ve been a visitor to Estes for 40 years, this was my first visit to Deer Crest Resort. Called to ensure off season vacancy — so many places here are closed in winter and early spring — and got the room I wanted. Love the view of Fall River, and Marmot wandering the yard, the friendly reception and the good wifi so much I stayed an extra day. This is my new favorite place for off season hideaways.

My girlfriend and I loved our stay at Deer Crest! Definitely some of the friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered. Felt like we were staying with family. The location is hard to beat, too… you’re very close to the center of Estes Park, but just far away enough to feel the peace & solitude of the wonderful nature outside of Rocky Mountain Nat’l Park. The backyard of the hotel sits along a very pleasant stream, giving us an added dose of winter wonderland when we spent some time wandering around the snowy banks of the then-frozen stream. Loved the fireplaces in the rooms and the DVDs and snowshoes on loan. What an awesome way to welcome newcomers to Estes Park! I can’t say enough good things about this place. If you’re in Estes Park for a weekend, particularly a romantic getaway, this is the place to go. One additional shout-out: check out the bar & lounge next door for some awesome small-town music and hospitality.

I LOVED this oasis! I stayed in a King suite with a kitchen and was completely content during my stay. The quilts really made it feel like home. It was so peaceful to sit by the river, even in the middle of the night. Outside of town enough to be very quiet but close enough for a quick trip to shop or eat. It was exactly what I was looking for and exactly as advertised on their website. Friendly family owned/operated.

I loved it here. The review before mine is on point. The only complaint I have is that my mattress was rock hard. Some people may like that. I am not one of those people. Otherwise everything was perfect!!!

Owned and operated by a friendly couple, Deer Crest feels like staying at a friends house. It’s only a few miles away from the entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park. We stayed there during the off-season so we were able to get a great deal on the room. They also have snowshoes and poles for their guests to use, free of charge!
