We stayed at Tundra Terrace unit #10B which is part of Timber Creek Chalets. There were 4 of us in a place that advertised for being able to host 4 people. This was not the case. What they didn’t mention in their ad was that to access the only bathroom you had to go into the bedroom(which was not convenient for 2 us who had to disturb the other 2 guests by walking through them and bumping into their bed in the middle of the night). The«queen futon» in the living room was a full-size with a bench seat that you could connect. We were not provided with adequate linens and even after driving down the road to get 2 more pillows and a thin blanket, we were freezing on the futon, yet the bedroom was too hot for the other 2 guests. This place advertised as «recently remodeled! sleeps four» and the quality of the cabin overall was very poor. Cold air leaked through the door all night and the boiler/pump right outside our door went on and off all night. We were looking for a quiet, relaxing, get-away to meet up with family and this did not provide us with that. The futon was extremely uncomfortable and squeaky which led to little to no sleep for 2 of us and there were no curtains so the outdoor lighting came through our blinds which also affected our sleep. We luckily noticed the large 3 foot heavy picture hanging, unsafely, on 1 single drywall screw(in the drywall, not the stud) above the head of the futon pull-out and we moved that before we went to sleep. We were thankful we just stayed one night, but this place was way too overpriced for the low quality and negative experience we had. We were happy to leave at the 10am checkout time and I will not be recommending this site to friends or family unless they want to be sleep deprived with sore backs and swollen bladders. We have stayed at other places along Fall River Road and loved them. I hope this helps others who are considering where to stay for a relaxing get-away in Estes!

Timber Creek was just okay. First off, completely over priced. The quality of our cabin was pretty poor, though mostly clean. My only positive was the bed. Our mattress was soft and comfy, pillows were not flat. We stayed in cabin 7, Blue Columbine. The stove was broken and without an oven. The cabin was supplied with plenty of dishes but no silverware(had I known I would have brought my own!). The bathroom was dirty with a strange wobbly toilet seat, the towels smelled musty and were frayed on the ends. This place must have been busy because the parking situation was one of the worst parts. My husband and I had to park clear across the property before heading in for the night. A very disappointing visit to a town we normally enjoy.

We traveled to Estes Park last week for a wedding held at Della Terra. We were very worried the entire week leading up to our trip. Dustin at the front desk was SO accommodating and called us last Wednesday, a day before our trip, to let us know about the situation. Originally, we had booked nearby Fawn Valley Inn(another property through Rocky Mountain Resorts) but after the massive flooding, FVI was placed in a no-flush zone and was just told they could not keep guests. ACK! As he delivered the bad news about our original arrangements, he told me he had already found a replacement room at Timber Creek that was very similar and even a little cheaper. I looked it up online(convenient that they have photos of all rentals!) and we agreed to the switch. We arrived in Denver, called them to check the roads, they gave us super detailed instructions and we made it up in about 2.5 hours. Check-in was at Fawn Valley Inn due to winter months beginning but this was not a hassle at all since the properties are probably ½ mile from one another. Timber Creek was easy to find and parking was not far from our place. We stayed in 10A which was more than enough space for the 2 of us. Small bathroom but it has what you need. The living room area had a pull out sleeper sofa that would be great for another couple or two children. Full kitchen and full fridge, plus a fireplace and flat screen. The room can adjoin to 10A, which could be nice for a larger group. Later on, we found out that many of the other guests were all going to the same wedding as us! The next day we wanted to do some adventuring since the wedding wasn’t until later, so we stopped back at the reception desk and they provided a map and some places to check out. Again, SOHELPFUL. It was great to be so close to not only the wedding venue, but Rocky Mtn. Natl. Park, Stanley Hotel, and downtown. My only regret is that we could not stay longer to do some more exploring. I wish Estes Park community the best in their recovery efforts and hopefully we will see you again! :)

After looking at many places around Estes Park for my family to stay in on vacation, we decided on this. We had 6 adults and 2 infants. One of the main reasons we picked Timber Creek is that oddly enough it was dificult to find accomodations in Estes Park for 1 cabin to sleep 6 with 2 bathrooms. We arrived and really enjoyed ourselves. We had Cabin 9 up against the hiil side. Spent one morning playing with chipmunks and rabits and taking pictures. Very comfortable beds and very clean. Only real issues we had were that the 2nd bathroom is in an odd place — downstairs while 2 bedrooms are upstairs, and the stairs kinda squeak when walking up — which is somewhat problemsome with 2 infants. One thing to note is that you have to get your own new clean towels — which was somewhat of a hastle — but not unbearable. We would stay here again.

This place was AMAZING for our family. We staying in #14 which was in the building connected to the office. It has a nice open living room which has wonderful for the kids to play in and they slept on the futons there. There were two bedrooms with nice beds for us adults. The hot tub on the patio was Fantastic after a day of hiking. The staff was very helpful with anything we asked for. We have recommended this place to our friends & plan on staying again!

Just got back from a long weekend there with family. The staff was nothing short of rude, not allowing anybody to check in until the original card holder arrived. Then the lady said, «its to protect you.» Right, leave my family in the parking lot to protect me. They made us practically beg for the essentials. we were staying for 4 days but were only give one towel each, 2 kitchen towels and one roll of toilet paper. We had to bring each dirty towel to the office to ask for a clean one. When I asked for more toilet paper the first night we were given 2 rolls. there was 8 of us, for 4 nights. Thanks a lot people. Just before checkout they told us we had to leave right away and practically kicked us out. The accommodations were ok. The patio was warped and had splintered boards popping up along with nails. Nobody got hurt but I was surprised none of the kids didn’t hurt there feet. The cabin only had a few windows that opened so the ventilation was poor at best. We had to open the doors to get the cool night air in(along with the bugs and mosquitoes.) Lastly, the stairway leading down to the game room only had a light switch at the bottom. That way you have to head down the stairs with the lights out. brilliant. The washer also wasn’t working when we showed up. I would not ever go back, there are way too many other options that must be better. This place overall sucks.
