Truck parking for 4 — 18 wheelers & maybe 4 or 5 bob tails. Nothing more. Busy convenience store, pleasant staff. The store is clean & tidy, with a smart little deli in back. Surprised by the self serve computer terminals, which they have about five; where you place your own order. They also keep ready made salads, sandwiches & other lunch items. Mornings, they have a variety of breakfast sandwiches, freshly made & ready to go. Tried the Chipotle Black Bean Burger on whole wheat ciabatta bun, grilled with leaf lettuce, black bean salsa, tomato & Dijon mustard. Very filling & surprisingly good. They have a Pastrami Hotdog & many toppings to choose from as well. Added Dijon mustard, black bean salsa on plain hotdog bun. Good sandwich, new idea for hotdog. There is also a small sitting area with some counter space, with electric outlets, wifi & a ice view. Very pleasant, clean and remarkably well kept. The bathrooms are single units, but are frequently cleaned & kept up. Popular spot for the locals as well. Fresh baked donuts, muffins, & breads. Mmmm good.

Ok, Rutters. You are there for me at 5am for my coffee before work and also there for me at 3am for some munchies. Nicest people ever work in there too. But, seriously, WHATISTHATSMELL!!! Why does it smell like rotten deli meats? And the smell carries with you when you get back in the car. Everytime my friends and I stop there for some Red Bulls the person that goes in for them comes back into the car and REAKS!!! Its an old school style Rutters so It is small and the gas pumps are so close together only one car can squeeze in at a time. I love the place but just have a professional cleaning crew come in for a day and bleach the whole thing out.

I made an emergency stop here on foot after running out of gas on 83. The positive thing is there is a rutters at both the exits before and after where I ended up. I walked about 2 ¾ miles and was so glad they had a small gas can for sale since I didn’t have one in the car I was driving. I filled it up, walked back and was able to get to the next rutter’s at the Strinestown exit a few miles south to get gas to take me home.
