Action Rental & Party Time

I had my wedding in North Bend, Oregon a few weeks ago and had rented a very large tent (40’x60’), 275 chairs, 28 tables, and linens for my wedding reception. (Just shy of $ 3,000.00)
The company was suppose to arrive around 10 am and then tent was suppose to be completely up around 1pm.
The delivery was 5 hours late showing up to the venue! Anyone who has planned a wedding knows that decorating and setting up for the reception takes time. Well they showed up at 3 pm with the delivery and didn’t have the tent up until 6:30pm.
This was after all of our groomsmen unloaded all of the chairs and tables, and ¾ of the tent. Plus set all of the chairs up at the ceremony site (275chairs)
Also… My wife had called the company at 10:45 am that day (when they were at that time 45 minutes late to ask where they were… the lady said they were running about an hour late therefore she should be expecting them in about 20 minutes)
I’d also like to mention… the company truck was seen about 30 minutes from our wedding venue having a sit down lunch at 12:30 (already 2.5 hours late) and didn’t show up until 3 pm!
We didn’t get to our rehearsal dinner till 9 pm! (originally scheduled at 7 pm)
Horrible service and the owner has yet to call us back or make the situation right. We’ve called them a handful of times.
On top of all that they attempted to charge us an extra $ 300 and then actually charge our account $ 100. Which I had to call and ask them remove. They had no explanation for the charge!
The only reason I am giving them a star is because this site doesn’t allow you to leave it blank.

this place SUCKS!!! They rented product to me that was cheap and discolored. They were late to my wedding with delivery of chairs and when i called about this issue when i returned from my honeymoon, the owner daughter was rude and said there contract states they can be late.
I would never rent from this place again!!!

I emphatically do NOT recommend working with this company for any party rentals. We reserved a number of things, and then our plans changed and we tried to cancel our reservation a few days later. Not only were we informed that, buried in the illegible contract was a stipulation that we could not change any part of our reservation without losing our entire deposit, but when I expressed confusion and frustration (we’d told them the reservation was tentative when we’d made it, and they’d said that was fine) the employee on the phone yelled at me and told me to call a lawyer. I was told the owner would respond to my call within a week, and never heard from him. Ultimately, the quality of items is low, the prices are high (often as high or higher than buying the same items at Ikea) and the service is horrendous. Not worth the risk of mental anguish, the lack of flexibility or being screamed at to offset any potential benefits from renting from Action Rental.
