I stop by every time I’m around. The owner is a hilarious dude, and easy to spark up conversation with. You won’t just find glass and supplies here– the cases are literally packed full of everything from packs of vintage adult trading cards to little bottles of(god knows how old) hotel shampoos and soaps. This guy is a total hoarder, but it makes his store all the more interesting. It’s been open for almost 40 years, every day. Here’s to more.

This place is the jam! I happened upon it while visiting a friend down in Eugene and it blew my mind. It is like a temperature-controlled swap meet with some pretty high quality stuff crammed into a little space. That might not sound super awesome to many, but I happen to fancy shops that can captivate my attention for long spans of time. If you are into counter culture of any sort, this is the place for you. Stickers, posters, clothes, incense, tapestries, smoking supplies, skateboarding stuff, you name it! I will have to disagree with the other reviewers that stereotype the place and its patrons as stoners, hippies, burn outs etc. I am none of those things and I frequent stores like this all time just for the sheer weirdness of it all!

A very odd place, cram-packed with…“stuff”. All kinds of little cheapy things, from cheesy posters to sex-toys to just plain junk. Dark, & chokingly full of incense smoke.

This place has been around for year! Lazar is a trip. Before the internet this was the one stop shop for all your discreet needs. Every kind of trinket imaginable can be found here. If you don’t like the price, tell him too much. Everything is negotiable here. I found a super deal on Reef Sandals here, could not believe it, they had my size(14) and I picked them up for a fraction of retail cost!

Like Cody said, this place would only fly in a place like Eugene(Berkeley would love it I am sure…). This is a great place to get unique posters for decorating your college«pad.» They have awesome rock posters that are hard to find. It is also a head shop, so if you need something in that department this should be a good place to go. Tons of random crap basically, and lots of fun to walk around and explore on a rainy Eugene afternoon.

Lazar’s is a place that could only flourish in a town like Eugene. It is owned by a tiny little man named Lazar, who hangs out in the store all day, stoned and filling his buddha belly with couscous and falafels. He sells everything that a stoner might be interested in. In other words, it is full of pointless junk. It’s a cool place to check out once, but his primary clientele is burnouts and hippies looking for random crap for their basement apartments. I’ve heard he is expanding, which is scary to think about, to a place right off campus. His son runs that store, and he’s actually a really cool guy. If you’re bored on a Saturday check out Lazar’s Baza(a)r, you might like it. Here’s hoping he doesn’t try to run for mayor again!
