Definitely not impressed with the pricing of the food. The buffet is very expensive for breakfast, at $ 16 per plate. The food was not good: biscuits hard and dry, potatoes dry, bacon obviously precooked and too greasy, fruit not the freshest. Definitely not what you’d expect for a 16 dollar plate! The service wasn’t bad, but not exceptional. Definitely not worthy of the high meal prices… I’d suggest finding other local fare in the restaurant rich area surrounding the hotel.

As far as standard hotel restaurants go, the Big River Grille in the downtown Eugene Hilton is pretty good. The menu selection is adequate and the buffet bar selection good. While overpriced for restaurant fare, the prices still fall slightly below other hotel restaurant prices. The seating is varied and comfortable and the atmosphere mild and enjoyable for visiting with friends.

Located in the Hilton Hotel, this restaurant is excellent. Comfort food is the best way to describe it. I haven’t had the opportunity to try their breakfast but I’ve had about 10 dinners there. I’ve never been happy with the soups but the salads are great. For an appetizer, I recommend trying the Oregon Cakes or the Spinach & Artichoke Dip. For dinner, order the Stuffed Hazelnut Chicken with Garlic Mashed Potatoes. The Cascade Chicken Mushroom is big and delicious! You will not leave hungry. Dessert is always special and varies from week to week. You can’t go wrong. Also, try and get Dana as your server, she’s the best!
