LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place! Great burgers and such a great location(right next to Oakshire) The price is right, the service is great, and the mission is spot on with mine; Eat great food and don’t break the bank! The special sauce is unique and very flavorful. My husband loves it, but I prefer to not have it on my burger. I think it’s a great dip for fries! If you looking to change up your regular spot for burgers, give this place a try. You will not be disappointed!

One of our favorite spots to grab a quick bite. A bit out of the way, you have to know about it to find it. Call in your order if you’re in a rush, just don’t forget to check your bags!

As a burger purist, I proceded to order the double with just lettuce and onions and a slice of pepperjack cheese. Fries too. The burger was perfect. Big on taste. Juicy too. The fries were as good as the best places in town. I’ll be making this my Go To Burger place.

This place behind Oakshire Brewhouse has the skills to pay the bills. The green sauce they put on the the burgers is a crack-like substance that elevates their burgers into the Eugenian food scene stratosphere. You need to try this place in a hurry.

The best burgers in town, the best prices around. Great burger with many cheese and topping choices. The fries are great, shoe string style, crispy outside, fluffy inside, with the perfect amount of salt! I have come here several times and even ordered my burger with the spectacular special sauce. I highly recommend this place to anyone who want’s a truly old fashioned tasty honest burger.

ever gone to a burger joint and been like«man! that was NOT worth 12 bucks?» I personally guarantee that will never happen here. I don’t know how he can do it but his burgers are a 10, and they’re cheaper than a field trip to Taco Bell. I first went there when I lived in the neighborhood and got his spicy burger; it’s like eating a candy bar and I’ve never been able to try anything else on his menu. ever. crisp(benign) white onion, grilled jalapeño, nice tomato, fresh lettuce, quality beef, pepper jack, and some kind of scrumptious green chili sauce that’ll blow your mind like that new movie Lucy. serious. candy bar. all that with fries for 4 bucks and I’m like jigga say whaaaaa???

Could be the best burger I’ve ever eaten. It’s the special sauce. I hate thousand island dressing. This ain’t that. This is playful and inspires me to be a better person. I come from Portland to eat this burger. Well, I also visit my friend, but he understands. If you ever allow this place to close, Eugene, I will stop talking to you, and I’ll throw away my ducks shirt.

As much time as I spend at Oakshire, I love knowing I can grab a burger and fries in the event that hunger strikes. Burgers on the Run is a food truck parked out back of The Public House. This is one of the cleanest food carts that I’ve seen, which eases your mind any time you order from a food cart. The food is perfect for what it is, which is fast food. When I was a youngster and lived in Washington, there was a small burger shack called Smitty’s. I loved eating there, to me it was the definition of a Michelen 3 star restaurant. So it was pretty nostalgic having that classic burger taste with 100% fresh toppings, which made a world of difference… as it usually does. The day we were here, it was damn cold outside. To my surprise when we were done placing our order, we were able to take a number back into The Public house and they said they would come look for us and drop our burgers off. I really didn’t expect that, but that’s how they roll. I wouldn’t jam down here for dinner, but i’ll more than likely get a burger each time I swing in for a few frosty pints of brewha.

Just run away from the Burgers on the Run. I went for lunch the other day and ordered the Double Burger for $ 4.25 plus I added cheddar cheese for .50 and turned it into a combo(fries and a drink) for an additional $ 2.75.I was charged $ 8.25. Grand total should have been $ 7.50. Now that I added it all up I was ripped off. I just trusted the cashier added up the correct amount. To make matters worse the food was not so good. The green sauce that everyone talks about is way to watery. It’s so thin it does not even stay on the burger except for the part that soaks into the bottom bun making is soggy. The sauce is also very salty with not a lot of other flavor. The burger meat tasted okay while it was a bit over cooked. Whats with the tiny soda that comes with the combo. With all the ice in it three sips and it was over. Until they fix there errors don’t go.

Finally tried this place — a local, two blocks from my GF’s house. And if you want a fine old fashioned ch/burger at a great price(uh, with BRIGHT neon– GREENSAUCE), this is the place. Ordered the double burger, med rare, with pepper jack and all the fixin’s. And that’s EXACTLY what I got. Tender bun, abundant, fresh toppings, simple burger patties cooked just right. Bursting out of its old fashioned paper wrapping, almost too fat to eat, like a confused time traveler from the fifties,. It looked old fashioned and good, and tasted better. Sitting in one of their red plastic adirondack chairs, dogs munching free dog biscuits, eating my burger… enjoyed every bite, sad to see it go. Contentment. That’s what that nice feeling was. Shiny chrome retro cart, cool. Friendly owner, doing this strange gig for fun. Go there!

I will agree with one of the other posts. EXCELLENT price to quality ratio. Veggies were really fresh and neat. Place was clean, friendly and inviting. The bun didn’t suffer from sog-factor. Special sauce was very unique and addictive. Burger patties hag a good char on the outside, but were a little overdone inside for my tastes, but I can look past that. I usually prefer a little pink. Next time I will just ask. I’m sure it will be no problem, but for a review, I like to go kind of basic before branching out. The food itself was a visual work of art(see photos). Looking forward to trying one with a fried egg and bacon on top. Will I go back? In a heartbeat.

I love this place. Burgers are fresh, tasty, never greasy. LOVE the green herby sauce. Fries are not overly salted, and portions are perfect. Prices are great as well. If you want a good-quality burger & fries without the greasy junk-food feeling, this is the place to go! Kids meal is huge(can split between two small kids), and a bargain. I often ask my husband to pick up burgers and bring them home since he works nearby! Only outdoor seating since it’s a food cart, but if you call ahead, they are more than happy to pack your order to go. There is street parking, as well as the lot across the street.

I love a good burger. This place has some okay burgers. The burgers have been undercooked alomost everytime I place an order. The green sauce used here is absolutly amazing. It’s some sort of aoli of sorts i guess, only problem is he tints it green with food coloring. Often my orders have been messed up. Fresh onions instead of grilled onions, no cheese when I requested and paid for it. Don’t waste your time eating here.

I don’t often use the descriptor ‘dank’(because I am not into stoner culture), but dank aptly describes the cheeseburger here. The price to quality ratio is outstanding. Steve, the owner/operator, is incredibly friendly and community oriented. However, his menu and some of his signage contains spelling and grammatical errors. But I forgive him. I would urge anyone to try the burger here, even vegetarians.

First time there, I had a single cheese burger and I was not disappointed. The beef was fresh and so where the veggies(nice and crisp). Not a big fan of the fries(reminds me of Steak N’ Shake). Green sauce on the burgers was good and added some moisture to the burger. Prices are very reasonable.

This place is across from The Goat in my neighborhood. I tried his steak sandwich. It was delicious! The steak was perfectly medium rare inside with sliced onion, lettuce, and tomato. I too was curious why the sauce was green, but it tasted so good, I really didn’t care. Next time I’m gonna try the double cheeseburger… maybe even triple!

This is the unlikeliest place I’ve ever seen a food cart parked: asphalt parking lot between two industrial buildings, secured by cyclone fence and razor wire after five. The cart’s one of those shiny, quilted-chrome concotions that are created to remind you of the rockin’ 50’s, as remembered by Richard Simmons and Chubby Checkers on those late-night infomercials. The self-proclaimed burgermeister is a really nice & friendly guy. He’s clearly doing this gig for fun. The cheeseburger was I guess okay at best and the french fries(freezer fries?) were not quite okay. They were bland and undercooked. What I liked about the cheeseburger was that the vegetables were all nice and crisp, and the burger sauce was tasty in some way I can’t quite identify. What I didn’t like about it is that is was dry, and needed added ketchup. «Why is this burger sauce green?» you ask. Well that’s exactly what I asked the guy. He told me that he used to own and run as many as seventeen restaurants between Seattle and San Francisco. Restaurants where they made tons of burgers from blue cheese to mushroom. The cooks had difficulty differentiating the many different sauces, so he started tinting the basic burger sauce green, which persists to this day. That’s some good burger lore.
