Went to Cornucopia for brunch just after arriving in Eugene with family Sunday, Valentine’s Day 2016. It wasn’t real crowded but I think there was only one waitress and service was very slow. Food was just ok. At least the background music was decent while we waited and I got Diet Coke refills, and prices weren’t bad.

I had a blond bomb somethin or other and the thing tasted like someone dipped it in Salt! I don’t think I’m gonna be able to taste anything else for a good week.

We were in Eugene for a quick 24hour trip to the Hult Center for an event. It was a cold and rainy morning but we decided to walk around looking for a place to have breakfast. Happened to find Cornucopia Burgers&Bar open for breakfast, didn’t know what to expect. Pleasantly surprised to find a very warm and inviting atmosphere. We were greeted immediately by our server who was friendly and attentive. The coffee was hot and our food was delicious! We will definitely be returning when we visit Eugene again!

Funky hole in the wall vibe, solid burgers, not large but high quality. Lots of beer choices, solid service, great fun! Empanadas were delicious.

First off I made a Unilocal account just for this review. That being said I’ve given this spot two chances with the same order. Each time I’ve gotten a bacon cheese burger because I’m told their burgers are amazing. Both times i ordered a medium rare burger. Both of these times my burger was cooked well done and tasted absolutely bland and generic. The taste is what you’d expect from a $ 5 burger, except for here I paid $ 14+ and was severely disappointed both times. The fries are the same generic fries you can buy In a bag at a grocery store. It’s only quality is its heavy drinks which I think are what fools people into thinking their burgers are good. I honestly won’t come back again. I highly recommend McMenamin’s in Eugene or falling sky brewery. They at least are worth the pricing. Save your time and money unless you’re only drinking at the bar.

Service was fast with great variety of food choices. Friendly service. Nice big green salad accompanied the pot pie, which a nice flakey crust. The hot food arrived hot.

Great place! Great Food! Would’ve given Five Stars but I bellied up to the bar and waited for the Bar Tender at the time 1−8−16 @ 11:34 Am to ask I I wanted something. Thought it was just me until it happened to the lady that sat down a couple stools away.

This was my first visit here and I’m not sure why I always see ads that say this place is Eugene’s best burger spot. The food was just decent and okay. I guess I was expecting a lot more but the 12 $ burger and fries I got was just plain, something you would get if you were to make a burger at home. A Burger King whopper or McDonald’s Big Mac would have tasted better than this. There was definitely no «wow» factor with the burger I had, not sure about the other food here. I should have gone to Little Big Burger or Killer Burger instead. I even had burgers in Cambodia that taste better than this. First impressions count and I won’t be coming here again.

My husband and I decided to check out cornucopia today due to a recommendation from a friend. Walking in, I was surprised to find that this restaurant is carpeted, it immediately makes the restaurant feel dated. It is a seat yourself establishment and there are many tables available… Though it takes staff a while to clean them once people leave. The menu is large and it is safe to say there is something for everyone on it. To eat I had the soup special, beer cheese, and a bacon cheese burger. I was less than impressed with the beer cheese soup. It seemed like it was just watered down stale beer with very little cheese flavor at all. I am from the Midwest so have had my fair share of great beer cheese soup… This definitely was not it! The burger was flavored nicely, cooked well, and had a great presentation. However, because they served the lettuce on the top of the burger, by the time I got to the second half of it, my bun was saturated in grease. Eww. It still tasted pretty good though. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. There are a few free parking lots near by which made it easy to find a parking spot. They play music in the background it wasn’t too loud and had a nice variety. There are so many restaurants in this area to compete with this restaurant that I am unsure if I will be back. While they had a pretty good burger they just didn’t blow me away.

This place had awsome food, drinks and service. I had the cheese steak sando and it was wonderful. The fries were tasty and the food came hot. I like that in a restaurant! Everyone at the table liked their food. I would recommend this place for everyone: D

I got the gluten free chicken tenders. Delicious, fresh and crispy. Tater tots perfect. My boyfriend got the wild bill burger with bacon and sweet potato fries and couldn’t get enough. Highly recommended! Good freakin job Cornucopia

Food = great! I got the angus sliders that were delish. The only reason I dock it 1 star is because the food took over a half an hour to come out. We could tell our waitress was super busy — possible due to being short handed. She also forgot to bring the ranch for fries that we requested when ordering. We will def be back =)

The food — maybe a 4 The beer options– a 2 for me(too many IPAs) The service — hmmm…1 Met a coworker who had been sitting outside. We decided to move in because it was 95 degrees and getting a little too hot. It was not a problem to be relocated, staff helpful and accommodating. We were seated behind the beverage station/point of sale system. Despite this and numerous staff approaching our table — it took 20 to 30 minutes and two requests for our server to have our orders taken. I refilled our water twice(it was right there). We had arrived during happy hour and were hoping to take advantage, but missed it. One of our party mentioned this to the server and s/he SAID we could get the HH prices for our beers. Alas — that was an empty promise and we were charged regular prices. AND — s/he never brought back my change — giving her/himself a 30% tip and then disappeared. Our party needed to move along so I let it go. In short — i won’t be back.

Let’s keep it simple: Good food with generous portion sizes Good live music with a great atmosphere Good tap selection with good service. All in all a good local spot with tasty food, good selection and good beer.

I live right next to this Cornucopia, so I’m pretty familiar with what to expect, but still somehow, against all better judgment, end up back here once every few months. Damn my laziness and lapses in meal planning. ANYWAY, this place sucks. Cornucopia in general has thoroughly mediocre food, except for their burgers, which are decent, but absurdly priced. There are comparable or better burgers throughout this town at better prices. But the service is the real rub. It’s reliably bad to a comical degree. Doesn’t matter what night or what time of day — it’s bad. Like 2 hours to eat a burger and fries but still not be able get a refill on your beer bad. Like, your medium-rare burger is scorched but somehow still cold, bad. Like, «are those creases from saran wrap on my bun?» bad. So on and so forth. Their outdoor seating is very popular, though. I mean, who doesn’t want to sit on a crowded sidewalk, still heavily used by pedestrians at peak ours, next to a wide, busy intersection, less than 30 feet from train crossing that has trains a couple times an hour? While getting overpriced food and crap service. Of course. It makes perfect sense.

The boss requested Cornucopia. Red flags already, but okay. We tried to get lunch delivered for a business meeting. I called the day before at 4:30pm and they were busy, said to call back. I called at 6pm and they were really busy, but then she decided she would write down my order. She couldn’t put it in the computer for some reason. So 30 minutes later we were done with that. I was supposed to call back the next morning to give the payment info, not sure why. The next morning I called at about 9:30am and they didn’t have the order information. I told the person who I spoke to the day before, and she said, «Oh, we’re letting her go, that isn’t surprising.» Starting over, she took the order and payment info. They were going to deliver lunch at about noon. It was chaos. Only half the order showed up when it finally showed(12:30), then they brought the other half, then they had to bring salad dressing and utensils, then salad dressing was all over the bag. It was awful. We had to get on the phone with them multiple times. We think they didn’t charge us. Of course we’ll have to watch the credit card to make sure. We are SODONE with Cornucopia. They are worse than McMenamin’s for service! And the food is nothing special, very overpriced. After 20+ visits between both locations, I don’t know why I kept trying…

Had a coupon from the savvy saver for a BYGO half off entrée. It was a Monday and the special was any burger with a brew for 12 bucks. Alas, the special was excluded from the promo. Got the turkey burger and the chicken strip entrée. Both came with either tots or fries. Tots were ok and fries had a nice crunchy coating. Entrees were pretty good. Probably would come back for a special sometime. Outdoor seating was nice… the train was nice to gawk at. Inside seating is super dark… creepy dark. Waiter was kinda absent. Had to walk to the bar to close the tab. Lunch time rush I guess. Free parking nearby… gotta love that. Stupid downtown and their pay parking can suck it.

I love this resturant. Every single time I have been, the food is exceptional and service is great. The menu offers plenty of options to choose from, at fair prices. The 5th location has outdoor seating, in a great area of town. Their sandwiches are my favorite menu item, with a garden salad. Cornucopia is definitely worth a try if you’ve never been!
