I have seen Brundage’s comments regarding my very unfavorable review, and that of others, in which he implies«If this is a real reviewer» Trust me, I am real, and I am real angry with this con artist still. His talent is in marketing and sales, NOT in physical training. If you do a bit of research«Matt Brundage boot camp» etc, you will find out controversy follows him everywhere, Bend, Eugene, etc. I am amazed to see how many other people have posted essentially the same horrible reviews of this terrible business, yet he seems to continue on. Again, you have been warned. Avoid at all costs. There are better out there. I doubt there are worse.

Seeing as this Bootcamp has gotten a lot of attention on Living Social and Groupon, I wanted to post a comment as someone not totally drinking the kool-aid but also not totally disgruntled by this boot camp. I attended this bootcamp for about 3 months and was rather enthused at the time. The other attendees are great and motivating and the community atmosphere they create is conducive to pushing towards your weight loss goals. As far as the work outs go, they are difficult and effective and if you follow a good eating plan as well you can see significant results. However, expect a lot of squats, lunges, and push-ups rather than more creative routines. The one caveat I would have is to be careful with your own body. There can be up to 40 or 50 people in a class at one time, and very little supervision over class members(due to size). Be sure to be careful to keep good form as no one will be making sure you stay safe while yelling for you to do «more, more, more!» An over-zealous attitude without oversight seems to have left several veteran boot campers on the sidelines nursing their battle wounds or doing their best to continue working out despite injuries. I didn’t think I’d end up this way, but too much pushing landed me in weekly chiropractic visits while I attended this boot camp. After switching over to a personal training class with only 5 – 10 people with a more balanced exercise régime and more individualized attention, I spent more money per week on the training, but much less on chiropractic visits and less time sitting around being sad and injured. That said, if you are looking for something cheap and motivating and know your own limits this could be good for you. I’ll vaguely agree with the others to take the contract you sign seriously, and don’t make any verbal agreements that you expect to hold up against the signed contract — something that’s good advice any way and applies in this friendly familial atmosphere as well(it is a business after all).
