Great folks here and a really reasonable amount of games. If they don’t have it in stock, are always willing to order it for you if it’s available. Super fair prices and always open to try new games out on the patrons and keep the atmosphere light. We had a house fire which demolished our Mini’s and those we were painting for a friend on commission. They contacted the company and got all of the miniatures replaced for us for free. Went above and beyond as far as I’m concerned. The only drawbacks I’ve encountered are that it can get a tad cramped on busy nights if you are trying to shop and navigate around people playing Mordheim /Warhammer. But really that’s all.

This place gets two stars only because it has games in it. The actual store itself is reminicient of Extremen Home Makeover where they have to completely demolish the place to make it usable again. This is definately a candidate. The smell over very musty mold permiates the air in here. I cannot believe this place is still doing well. People must really love their games. I will agree that there is a decent selection of games to choose from at the store, however it is full of your D&D crowd as they are looking for ways to store the expansion pack of Ork into their black trench coat crowd. I was almost to the point of looking around to make sure that no one saw me leave from this place.

Evolution gaming is very much your friendly neighborhood game store. The store is open to hosting just about any type of game you would like to play. This along with the open gaming library they have for in house games makes this a great stop if you and a friend are looking for something to do. They have an excellent selection of games from various publishers. Many Euro games, Miniatures, Card, Kid friendly and Roll playing support as well. If you are wanting to try a game before you buy, they have many open games for testing and hands on review. Being a small game store, they cannot buy in volume like the big stores. You will always be able to find games cheaper on line. The prices they charge are very fair and in many instances, you will end up paying less due to shipping and other charges, plus you get instant satisfaction! This place offers valuable feedback and immediate service if you ever have a problem with a game you purchase there. And in some cases, even if you have not. The staff has a great breadth of knowledge and is always willing to help you find the right game. They will even play a few games with you as well if you like. The building is a bit scruffy and can get a bit of an odor about it sometimes. The bathroom is not very female friendly and can be a challenge on busy nights. These issues are more than made up by the friendly atmosphere, fair prices and awesome selection(for it’s size.) It’s not too far from the university and can gather an eclectic crowd. Think of it as a mini game convention every day. The owner stocks the typical gamer food but at normal quick stop prices. He wants to run a game store, not a convenience store. Unlike other establishments, you can bring in outside food, as long as you are respectful and clean up after yourself. The store is located next to a Allan Brothers Coffee and a Burrito shop. There are other dining alternatives nearby as well. On some nights customers and employees all chip in for a delivery or pickup/togo orders from consensus determined restaurants(typically pizza or Chinese food.) All around, much much more than a game store… more like a family entertainment center. A note about younger kids. While they have lots of games, and games for kids. I don’t think they like to be thought of as a day care. I have been around when people have dropped their kids off to have a quick coffee at Allan Brothers. It’s a thoughtless thing to do and very disrespectful. …I think they give unattended children an espresso and a free puppy… Now, get off the computer and go play some real games

I very much enjoy playing boardgames Tuesday nights. The staff, the few I’ve observed, seem really chill. Other than merchandise, the place is stacked with boardgames you can check out. neat stuff! Love this place!
