Went here tonight for my second time but my boyfriends first time. Told him about the giant burgers, he loved it. We got some Cajun tots and they were amazing. Way better than any other ones around town. Or waitress Alicia was awesome. I asked her if they had a good grilled cheese and she suggested the kids grilled cheese with an extra slice so I got cheddar and Swiss and just as she described, it was bomb. Last two times I had one at docs pad they burnt it so I’ve given up there. Alicia was an amazing hostess she came around just the right number of times, was never pushy, casual, friendly, energetic. Clearly had a strong work ethic I saw her serving drinks, bussing tables, taking orders by memory, and yet still was able to make it to every table for refills. We were there a few hours and had a friend meet us later. Then the guys got some beers and she could clearly tell that I wanted another Pepsi even though I said no earlier. I’ve been trying to not drink soda so when she asked if I was sure that I didn’t want another It must have shown that I wished I could have another. It’s great that she can pick up ok those cues for people who don’t want to ask unless offered. But I passed and stuck to water. The food gets a 10⁄10 and if that isn’t enough I would DEFINITELY come back to have such fantastic service. I really want the manager to know how lucky they are to have Alicia as part of their team she is truly exceptional. It goes way past just taking orders and refilling drinks its everything from her personality and humbleness to her work ethic-I’m sure she will go far.

Very Cool place to go when in Eugene the prices were reasonable & the food was delicious! Best wings in the area in my opinion also they make a kick ass Bloody Mary lol we had the fried pickles & fried cheddar bites for appetizers — 2 different wings buffalo/maple bacon and the staff was very friendly!!!

Hello grease and stomach pains. If you’re stomach doesn’t take to grease very well, I’d suggest taking a pepto bismol or an activated charcoal capsule prior to your meal and drink LOTS of water. The atmosphere and service is great, friendly, and quick. Maybe this would be a better happy hour spot than a meal or a good place for a group of people for some drinks. Their wings were underwhelming and had way to much sauce on them to be enjoyable. I assume you could ask to have less sauce. Their appetizer portions are gigantic so don’t let your eyes be bigger than your stomach unless you have a group of people with you, then go for it. The prices were a bit high for my personal standards, which was a bit of a turn-off, but the food was alright. The fried pickles needed a better batter, perhaps like they had on the fried chicken sandwich or maybe with some cornmeal added and the option for a half order would be great. The fried chicken sandwich was underwhelming and sort of tasteless. The bun was not great and actually really to big, unless you have a large mouth its near impossible to take an entire bite. I ended up just getting rid of half the bun and messily eating it. The tater tots were great, a bar food favorite, however I found they were actually tastier after having taken them home and re baked them so they were extra crispy.

First time trying this spot and had high hopes but was seriously let down. Wings were extremely over cooked, Mac and cheese was watery and really lacked in the cheese department. Place was busy and somehow we got«lost» in the shuffle, after 30 mins had to flag someone down to take our order. Our waitress was very friendly and apologetic and did comp our first round of drinks. Really was hoping to dig this place but sadly I won’t be returning.

One of those afternoons when you are just craving for wings and comfort food, so here we were, at mercy of Hot Mama’s Wings at 5 in the afternoon. Lucky for us, we just so happened to be here for Happy Hour, which offered a slightly cheaper price for the food we were planning to order. Overwhelmed by choices, it took all of our will to not order all the sides they offered. We ended up with Mac N’ Cheese, Garlic Parmesan Tots, Bacon Bleu Wings and Barbecue Wings. Foreseeing the greasiness of our food, I have also ordered a Raspberry Lemonade to standby. Oh my goodness. I could eat their tots ALLDAY. Given how it was only about 6 – 7 dollars, I didn’t expect this HUGE basket of tots in front of us. Garlic parmesan wasn’t just sprinkles of garlic salt and cheese, we could see the melted cheese on top of each tot. YUM! While I was going crazy on the tots here, my boyfriend took the liberty to finish the Mac N’ Cheese… Without my knowledge. I don’t blame him, it was tasty, not too rich or greasy that filled you up immediately. Last but not least, THEWINGS. Personally, I found their sauce to be a little salty to my taste, and the texture of the wings was somewhat dry. It could be hard to tell with they were covered in sauce. I have had better wings in here before, I’d like to believe this was just a hit and miss. Overall, still a satisfying meal.

We had a great experience here! The tempeh«wings» are so, so delicious. I really appreciate a place where vegetarians feel included… We get to pick from the full array of wing sauces and options, and it comes in the basket looking more or less like wings, and did I mention they’re delicious? I got the mild sauce this time and it was everything I love about wing sauce, but I’m excited to try some others. We also got the fried pickles and they were decadent and slightly spicy and completely addicting. They have 3 high chairs and the lively atmosphere was perfect to keep my toddler entertained(and just noisy enough that he didn’t bother other people with his exuberance). It’s a small place, though, so I’d definitely recommend going at an off hour if you don’t want to wait for a table.

Wings are OK. Wish sauce had more tang. I will try different flavors next time. Not an easy place to go for kiddos which is a deterrent. Husbands burger smelled a little off like beef might have been older. Did not get sick or anything but flavor was off too.

The house salad with organic tempeh and champagne vinaigrette is very tasty. Ashley, the owner’s niece, is an attentive hostess. Errin is a great server. She is friendly and professional. The background music is nice, too.

Food is good, but a little overpriced. I like that they have a decent gluten free menu! I’ve always had good service here and like the atmosphere.

New review for our used-to-be-favorite neighborhood spot. What changed: New menu = no more corndogs. Sounds small but for picky kids this was one of the only proteins they liked. Actually they loved them. So now they don’t look forward to eating there. Also they removed the gluten free onion rings. Some of us are gluten free, they were delicious, and it was one of the only places in Eugene to get them. So in general the food is less interesting there. Service: We have been there three times in the past several months when they were expecting large groups. They gave us a heads up and there was at least 1.25 hours before the reservations. But they made us feel strange about staying and completing our meal. It definitely felt like the group was the priority. Alisha, Erin, and Noelle are fantastic.

Delish! Oh and… gluten free, gluten free, gluten free! Yeah! Gluten free Cajun chicken tenders & gluten free Cajun fries(a little too hot but good), gluten free fried bacon. I’d give them a five star If they’d offer real maple syrup for the dipping sauce. Posted pics. We’ll be back

Reply by the owner: «Our Garlic Fries and Tots can be oily but never to the extent you described» Maybe you should take your blinders off and realize I am not writing this out of malicious vendetta. The first half of your sentence says everything. I call it as I see it. Obviously my tots were being suffocated by fryer oil forging me into a human flamethrower. First time going here was awesome. Fried pickles were so awesome they made me want to drop my pants. Last visit was my last. No joke the wife and I have both had the shits the last 3 visits we have been here. We kept thinking it was a fluke and wanted to love this spot. The amount of fryer oil left on my food is ridiculous. There was a good half inch of oil in the bottom of my tot basket. Wings taste good, however are small. Maybe it’s just the wife and I, but the oil left on the food gives me the runs… i literally almost sharted myself. I’m too young for this!

Great place to stop for wings that are not part of a chain, but instead are a part of the community of Eugene. I’ve been here several times — love the tots, the cilantro lime wings, and the house salad with balsamic dressing. Only thing I might comment on would be the staff who are perpetually busy and somewhat disengaged from anything but the hustle of their job. But the food is good and the cocktails are fun — worth the trip and the tip.

Went there on spur of the moment with friends. Found out Weds is .75 Wing night so my price reference is based on that! Friends got different wings so got to try a variety. I got BBQ, and got to try Bacon and Blue(great if you like bacon and blue cheese and a bit rich), I think Garlic and hmmm cannot remember the rest of this flavor, it was ok, my friend Loved them. I also got to try Thai Peanut I think… they were great actually. I cannot remember if there was another flavor or that was it. The tots are a HUGE portion like to share with 4 people so keep that in mind. They were not my favorite, but the wings were pretty excellent! Quick and outside seating if you need it. They were busy. My friend gets other things besides wings and loves them too. I would definitely go again.

So I finally tried the food other than chicken wings after becoming an extra regular at this joint. They are amazing. I had mac’n’cheese with free bacon added in it, and a Greek salad. Amazing. Tons of food and I got really full, I would have to once again recommend this place to the world and let y’all know what excellence is. Best food in town

This is basically my neighborhood bar, easily within stumbling distance of my house so I never have to worry about driving home when I’m too tipsy. Also, there is a convenience store next door so I can pick up a six pack or a bottle of wine to continue the party at my house if I like. What’s not to like? Deep fried bacon with spicy maple dipping sauce? Yum. Fried pickles? Excellent. Lots of flavors of wings, and they have your choice of tots or fries with any sandwich. I also really like the buffalo chicken salad with hot sauce on the chicken and blue cheese dressing on the salad. Drinks are superb, and I often enjoy a bloody mary or other mixed beverage or a cider on draft. Prices are reasonable and service is always on point. Kids are welcome, but I wouldn’t keep them here too late as folks are known to get their drink on once in a while.

Five stars for the grub, this fact is well-known and well documented. Service is not bad, they are kind but not overly concerned about your comfort. I give this place 3 stars for the ambiance. We asked to sit on the patio since outside was full. She brought us in to three empty tables. I asked if my husband and I could sit at the four top for a little extra space. She said no since they might get more people soon. I was fine with that response and sat at the two topper but to my dismay within 5 minutes the patio was completely empty. There were now 2 four toppers open but I did not ask to move. I wrote a Unilocal review instead. Sorry. And now they seat a couple at the 4 top, as I am writing this. Two stars. And I am no longer sorry. The sitting space in the patio is crammed and your neighbor’s conversations are your own. Not so bad if you enjoy drunk, really drunk, and very loud neighbors! Really, every time I have come my neighbors have been incredibly loud. It is difficult to enjoy your meal with people talking… Loudly… I am sure this is not always the case but it is more common than not. A little more space would be nice, maybe I will try inside next time, the weather has just been so nice. The food was mediocre at best. Cold wings!?! C’mon. Our waitress was freaking awesome.(she is a dark haired woman with glasses). She was quick, fun, and very helpful. Nice work!

We live in San Diego, relatives live in Olympia and Gig Harbor. Hot Mama’s is one of our must-stops whenever we drive from one to the other. We discovered Hot Mama’s while one son was living in Eugene as a student. We love wings, and we especially appreciate that Hot Mama’s wings are all natural(free-range, no drugs, etc.). During our last visit, I had the«Hot» sauce on my wings(two steps down from the«Kamikaze») which is my favorite. Wife had the special flavor of the day, which was like a Korean BBQ sauce — she really liked them, but they were a bit sweet for my palette. We also tried the chicken-fried bacon for the first time. Pretty good, but a little dry. The key is to use the spicy maple syrup dipping sauce. It is a great flavor combination. We’ll try it again during our next visit.

First off, the wings here are small so you won’t find any wings on steroids. Second, interesting flavor choices to choose from. So what happens when these two are combined? You get a bunch of little wings for $ 22 in multiple flavors(if you choose) and still leave hungry. Flavor choices sound interesting but some were bland. The Thai peanut would be better if the sauce was thinner. The bacon bleu wasn’t bad. The rest of the menu is the usual bar food so expect everything deep fried or between two buns. It was ok but I was hungry after downing um 21 wings. I suppose if you wanted a local wing joint instead of BWW then this would be place to go.
