Awesome experience at KoHo’s! It’s a little obscure in a strip mall, but the staff and food was absolutely wonderful! We were a party of 8. We had Mac and cheese, pork chops, salmon, linguine… Everything was superb! We came here because our son graduated from OSU and we wanted to experience fine dining and we were not able to secure anything in Corvallis. We were very happy eating at KoHo’s.

Expensive dinner menu. Cold restaurant. Waited so long to order, my guest pulled out crackers from her purse. Every table around us had bread. I had to ask for it. Ordered the pan seared Coho salmon, which arrived raw in the middle. Was told they«always cook their fish medium, which means some pink in the middle.» Yeah, ok, but the menu didn’t say that. If I had known, I would have asked for well-done. Half the menu had asterisks with warnings about medium/pink beef. But no such notice on the fish(I checked before I left.) Waiter made me feel like a spoiled brat for asking him to have them cook my food more. Then passive-aggressively asked everyone else at the table if they were enjoying their food, while I waited for mine to come back. We won’t be back.

Service and drinks were amazing. Clean and comfortable. The appetizers were good but the main course was a terrible meal. 5 in our group, four of us had the brined chicken over cheezy potatos. Chicken was dry and the potatos uncooked. 265 dollars for food and drink. Wont be back.

So I have to admit, I almost didn’t come back, but I’m glad I did! Last Valentines Day(2015) my fiancé and I came here for dinner and were very disappointed! Our dinner took way too long and the server was horrible. She had a table of friends and completely forgot about us and by the time we finally got our plates it was cold. We didn’t even want to do anything after since it was so late when we finished. Last night we were looking for somewhere to have mommy daddy date night and decided to try again. I’m so glad we did! Our server was Courtney and she was absolutely fantastic! The food was amazing, we had wings and fries for an appetizer, he had the burger and clam chowder for dinner and I had the beef. That sauce tho… Amazing! Then to finish we had the best bread pudding ever. The scorched whip cream was to die for! We both had drinks, I had prosecco and Claim 52 beer, very yummy and he had a margarita and the Claim 52 as well. Overall, we’ll definitely have date night here again!!! Thanks Koho!

This place is a hidden gem was not expecting to have the food experience I did. The food was GREAT and the service was even better. There are not enough words to describe the food. It’s a place you just need to go and try you will not be disappointed.

Thank you Unilocal! For suggesting this restraunt on your list. It’s sounded good and we decided to go. Wonderful staff and ambiance, but the best part is the food. I had a pulled pork sandwich that came with fresh cut fries, and they added smoke flavor to the ketchup so that it would go with my meal. My hubby had the turkey meatball stroganoff, on the specials list, let’s just say we want it on the menu!!! I could write pages about the wonderfulness of this dish. All in all its a little out of the way but a must try for everyone. Definitely will be coming back!

I had the short ribs. The meat was very tender and melted in my mouth however, there was an under taste I couldn’t identify. The potato latkes were luke warm. My partner had the pasta bolo. It was flavorful. Both dishes had small portions for the price. The butter that came with the bread was overpowering to the taste. I had the bread pudding which was tasty except the nuts on top had a burnt taste to them. We also sampled the chocolate torte which was average in taste and way too small of a portion for the $ 10 price.

All around one of the top restaurants in Eugene! Love their famous seafood chowder and the bone in pork chop is to die for.

I just moved to Eugene a coup of months ago, and I am on a quest to find my favorite spots. I definitely have found that here. We were greeted with an amazing smile from the hostess and shown to our table. The décor of the place is done very well and creates quite an impact compared to the strip mall store fronts you see outside. The warm bread and butter to start us off was perfect. I enjoyed a bottled Root Beer and my dinner companion had Pillow Talk(a vodka and a homemade pear vanilla syrup served up in a martini glass). We both enjoyed the Seafood Chowder which had great flavor and a few types of fresh seafood in a lobster bisque. I enjoyed a very large pork chop served over bacon infused smashed potatoes and green beans. My dinner companion enjoyed a burger that he said was cooked and tasted just right. Even after all that food we decided to go for dessert and the Chocolate Torte. It topped off an incredible experience. All of this great food was served by an amazing staff led by our personable and attentive server Courtney. The atmosphere is great, there’s a full service bar with what look like super comfy bar stools and an energy that let’s everyone know they are enjoying serving the food as you are enjoying eating it. I can’t wait to go back and try other options. I also love that they are supporting local farms.

4⁄2013 – Upon suggestion of my mother in law, my husband and I came to Koho for a drink and an appetizer. We sat at the bar, BEST seats in the house! Cory is an absolute blast! Must try the Costa Rican made with cold pressed coffee, to DIE for! The best drink I have ever had! The gnocchi was delish! The bread wonderful! The cheese plate and Pom frites also great! We loved Koho so much we have been back 3 more times, bringing new people with us every time and they have ALL raved about it! Drinks, food, service are all top notch! Zack is the best server there is! The last time we were there, the kitchen was pretty much closed, but he gave us the seafood chowder to try and it was SO good I cant wait to have it again! He also brought out a dessert for us to try that was also devine! His knowledge of food/wine is extraordinary! Nothing compares to Koho in Eugene. Going there for my Birthday this Friday and I can’t wait! Update 11⁄2015 – not the same since Cory left :(

What a great little restaurant hidden inside of a strip mall! I was here for on a Wednesday night for a work dinner. The place doesn’t have a lot of tables and they were somewhat empty. They have Wine Wednesday’s(25% off of a bottle of wine), but they have a very limited wine list. I ordered the half koho salad as a starter. This has organic field greens(YAY!), red onion, egg and goat cheese, tossed in a house apple thyme vinaigrette. The salad was deliciously light. The onions added a great crunch to the salad and the vinaigrette was sweet and tangy. I always love when a salad is just well dressed. I also had the beef which is hangar steak grilled medium rare, caramelized shallots, shiitake mushroom freekeh and umami steak sauce. The sauce truly felt like an umami experience in my mouth. The flavor melded together without overpowering the steak. My steak was cooked perfectly. I didn’t even need a knife as my fork simply fell through the meat. Small portions here– considering I finished both of my dishes. If you’re hungry, I would recommend adding some appetizers to start with. Such a great find in Eugene and I cannot wait to be back and try some of the other dishes.

I’m pretty critical when it comes to fine dining as I just moved here from San Francisco. Let me tell you this place does it right. You wouldn’t think it would be that great considering the location but it’s definitely a diamond in the rough. Everything from A to Z is delicious here. All food appetizers and drinks are well thought out and absolutely delectable. The service is incredible as well. Very fast and attentive and even intuitive, however I wouldn’t mind to stay or something besides blue jeans. There’s been a couple times where they’re really busy in the kitchen has been flow. I do however understand that good things are worth waiting for. Thank you for providing this oasis in Eugene!

Beautiful and tranquil atmosphere. Clam chowder was absolutely delicious. Salmon was cooked well and was served in good portions. Without request, dish was divided into 2 for 2 people to enjoy. Service was incredibly friendly. Will definitely come back!

This place is easily overlooked because it is tucked away in a tiny strip mall but inside was very clean and modern. The waitress who sat my group was friendly and very attatitive. Food came out promptly and it was absolutely delicious. The bread and butter with volcanic salt was warm and fluffy. The chowder almost made me cry because it was so indescribably amazing. The truffle fries were also really bomb with the tangy sauce. I ordered the steak salad which was decent. My family also ordered the pasta bolo which was a mountain of savory pasta. Their house made sodas were also delicious and not overly sweet. For dessert, we had the torte with the ice cream. The torte paired well with their creamy ice cream and pecan(I believe) clusters. Overall, I would go here again for the appetizers and friendly atmosphere!

We like Koho a lot, but our last visit was a disappointment. The salmon was over-rare and the music was inappropriate and jarring. On the positive side, the service was outstanding as usual and the dessert was excellent.

My husband and I had our anniversary dinner here a couple of nights ago. We made reservations although it was a Wednesday and not full, not empty either, just not full. Overall it was a great experience. The only reason it’s not five stars is based on little things. First, the wine selection is slim. The wines they offer are good and at good prices(wine Wednesday is 25% off all bottles so yippee), but there isn’t a lot of variety. That’s a little issue though one that I take seriously. My husband started with the seafood chowder and I had the wilted spinach salad. Honestly, I got the salad because I had to know what a smoked egg purée would add. I didn’t taste any smoke, but it was still a good salad, just not as amazing as I had hoped. His chowder was outstanding. For dinner, he had the steak and I had the salmon. His dish was the winner. The flavors with the steak were incredible. My basil and walnut encrusted salmon was good, perfectly cooked and tasty, but it wasn’t amazing. The basil flavor was a little lost as a crust. Then the pepper linguini hit me and wow, that was the best noodle side dish I have ever experienced. The noodles were perfect with this lovely balance between buttery and peppery. I just loved these noodles. Our meals were delicious and our service was impeccable. The quality and portions were right on for the price. I’m excited to go back, but I will wait for a new menu just because their dishes are so creative that I would like to see what’s next.

Don’t be dissuaded by the location, this is the best fine dining in Eugene. With locally sourced ingredients, an award-winning chef, and innovative dishes, you can’t go wrong. The grains and mushroom salad and cheese plate were excellent starters, and the cheesecake and filbert brown ale that was on tap were divine!

Say it ain’t so, Joe! OK, «It ain’t so.» So happy to have another five star meal here. It cancels a forgettable visit we had with another couple a few months ago. Koho is our favorite restaurant in Eugene, with exciting interesting food. But our previous visit the pork was overcooked and no dish was impressive. Fortunately this time they were rocking — star of the evening was pig tails(yes, pig tails — think crunchy delicious bacon with braised pork belly, all in a lively chile– vinegar sauce.) Several other delicious small plates too, including the same(excellent) pork we failed with last time. Tip: ask for suggestions, and order things you normally wouldn’t.

Don’t get steak unless you like it bland without seasoning. Wait staff was exceptional and wilted spinach was good but not great. Very average dining experience and the beef was a huge disappointment

I’ve got to tell you, I’ve been here with family, friends and business clients on quite a few occasions and it comes through every time. Fantastic staff(really), good atmosphere and absolutely wonderful food. A nice selection of wine and beer as well, some I really don’t see outside of Koho, which is neat. Get the seafood bisque. Seriously…
