I paid $ 60 to eat the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had in my life. The delivery guy was pretty nice though

My kids and I checked into a nearby hotel and the only open restaurant was this one. We walked as fast as we could because we didn’t have a car and walked in right when the kitchen was closing. I can’t commend this place enough for staying open to cook our food. There was NOWHERE in walking distance for two young kids and a mom to walk to so they completely changed our night. The servers were SO sweet(even wished me a happy Mother’s Day) and the food was fantastic!

I thought I would give this place another chance to show me that they have changed for the better. Usually their food is good and the service is decent. But this time I decided for just take out. And I was greeted with yet another university student who s attitude was that of «I’d rather be home with my boyfriend getting drunk or high» than be here taking your order”. She didn’t even smile or say hello. But rather the«what do you want to order?» This place has gone down in the dumps. And to think I use to recommend it to my friends who would come into town.

My partner brought this to my apartment a couple of times last summer and told me it was amazing. I was underwhelmed, so last night, we went to the restaurant so I could order something on my own. I got the orange chicken, which tasted pretty good. The fried rice was salty though, and I didn’t finish that. My partner ordered General Tso’s which was my other favorite, but he ate three bites and pushed the plate away. I took a bite, and all I tasted was salt and soy sauce. No heat at all. My partner ended up getting sick last night, and I have been feeling pretty gross for the last few hours. My kid is doing great, because he refused to eat. I am not only put off of this place, but for Chinese food altogether for a while.

Great food and service! I highly recommend checking out the The City Lounge adjacent to the restaurant for a couple drinks. The bar staff is amazing!

My husband’s fav chinese restaurant. He loves eating there before or after Duck football, and we love to go for late night dinners. In fact, they’ve served us dinner even though they were already closed for the night. They have an amazing view of the river, and the service has always been great. The food is average, I’d say. But their jasmine tea and hot and sour soup are great. My fav dish is definitely the cashew chicken.

Terrible food. I ordered a to go order for myself and a friend of mine. Her food smelled like it had gone bad and tasted even worse. My friend ended up getting sick and we threw the rest of her food away to be on the safe side. My food was bland and cold like they took it out of the refrigerator and never heated it. When I called to speak with a manager, it took 6 phone calls to be able to finally speak to someone. Awful food and awful experience.

Kowloon is what you eat when you’re too drunk or stoned to drive to the store to buy real food. It’s bland, greasy, soggy, overpriced, and always cold by the time the delivery guy shows up. This stuff is about the same as Safeway deli Chinese food, but twice the price.

This place was recommended by several so I had to try it. We got delivery. Delivery arrived stone cold to start off with. The food was bland and tasteless… could not even eat half after trying to heat. As for me, I won’t be back.

I’ve been here a few times and I always think it’s great! I love the Kowloon fried rice, crab puffs and the egg drop soup/egg flower soup. The portions are pretty big so you will definitely feel stuffed! The staff has been very friendly and I think the atmosphere is pretty nice too, nothing too hectic. I will always come back here when I crave chinese food!

If you love Lemon Chicken… don’t get it here. I ordered delivery, and while it came in a timely manner(which is why it gets 2 stars and not one), the food was probably some of the worst Chinese I’ve ever had. I ordered two sides of rice and only got one, and they gave me the wrong desserts. I’ll probably just go to Panda Express next time I’m craving bad Chinese. At least it won’t cost me a ton there.

Restaurant location and ambience was great and we had heard great things about this. The portion size was great and our dishes looked beautiful, however bland and bland. The chow mein noodles were odd and my hot spicy chicken was 3 peppers hot in the menu but had no heat and no flavor. Will not be back.

Disappointed. It used to be good now it is below average. Service was substandard it took 25 minutes to get our soup no surprise that it was cold. The portions for 3 was closer to portions for 2. Drink refills were few and far between. Egg Rolls were greasy and the BBQ pork was very skimpy for a full size order. Do yourself a favor and try somewhere else.

We ordered fried shrimp and it was greasy. We also had orange chicken and it was greasy and the sauce was watery. It was almost inedible. I will never go back.

I received my delivery order from Kowloon’s. After reading the negative reviews on Unilocal I was worried, and I posted that I would post again after I received my order. That was a couple weeks ago and I have to tell all you naysayers that Kowloon’s is delivering classic Chinese-American food. Delivery is prompt(45 – 1:00) that is delivery, the food was warm,(that is delivery) I ordered the Kowloon’s Special and all the ingredients were hot, all the sauces were delivered, but was is deep fried, heavy, and lacking a lot of fresh vegetables? Yes. But that is Chinese-American food. Kowloon’s is doing everything 95% of what Americans want. s That is why they have been in business as long as they have. If you want better(take-out) cook it yourself. I eat American-Chinese food once a year, it is the Asian version of American pizza, it lacks the true cultural experience of the country’s origin, but don’t complain about a business that is giving you exactly what you ordered. Kowloon’s food is a good representation of American-Chinese food.

I tried Kowloon’s again, and this is my last time. In the middle of eating delivery chowmein I felt something hard in my mouth. Upon spitting it out I found that it was a miniature wooden and metal clothespin. I am disgusted, and threw away all the other food. Officially never going back.

Used to love Kowloon just a couple years back. Before I moved out of their delivery zone I used to get it delivered regularly. Not sure what happened to this place but wow, avoid it. The Chow Mein is different, and not in a good way. Super greasy and not at all the same level of quality as before. They are using the same garbage soba noodles you can get at the mall,(or any of the other terrible Chinese restaurants in Eugene) not a real Chow Mein noodle. The Crab Puffs had super greasy cheese in them, it looked and tasted like cheddar cheese, not the usual cream cheese you would expect. The flavor was terrible, almost like the crab(or Krab) was off. These are a another item I used to love, but they were made much differently. My wife ordered her favorite Orange Chicken, it was inedible. Tough, greasy and suspect. The only thing served to us we could eat was the pork fried rice. We won’t be back unless we start hearing it has changed. One can hope.

Their food is not great, but they bring it to my house. The pot stickers are good as long as you cook them again after they arrive to crisp them up and get rid of some oil. I realize that it’s silly to pay for food you have to re-cook, but again, they bring it to my house. That’s really all they have going for them, and it seems to be enough in a town where Chinese food is generally terrible. I have tried almost all of the Chinese food Eugene and Springfield has to offer, and this place wins only because I can drink booze at home while I wait their 45 – 90 minute standard delivery time.
