I am a 22 y/o recent uo grad and have been a customer at Man’s World Barbershop since I moved here in Eugene about 2 years ago. Ric has been my barber and has always exceeded my expectations with the quality of my haircuts! He is very meticulous and skilled with his work. Every time I come in he takes sincere care that I am satisfied with my haircut. Ric and all the other veteran barbers create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that is always customer-oriented. As long as I live in Eugene, I will always get my hair cut at Mans World and would recommend anyone else who wants a top-notch haircut experience to do the same!

Partner is a trans man. Looks like a man, has a mans testosterone, wants a man’s haircut. This places suggestion??? When I called to make an appointment they said they wouldnt allow him to come in. Take HER to a Salon. Bigots, the lot of them.

So, after a few years of rolling the dice going to a national chain once a month and too often walking out with a cut decidedly less than«super»(the last provided by a hipster goofball who actually told me he was still in barber school and only took the job because he needed money and didn’t actually like cutting people’s hair, of course, whilst hacking away at mine) — I decided the time had come to search for an actual barber. My hair is not complicated and my taste is not exotic. I have my style and want only to maintain it consistently from cut to cut. I wanted a competent, no-nonsense barber to match my competent no-nonsense hair. Frequent sojourns to the Saturday Market… OK, Voodoo Doughnuts but sometimes Saturday Market… had taken me by Man’s World several times. I respected the directness and, dare I say, «boldness» of the name — plainly, they specialize in men’s haircuts and have no fear about making that explicit — and liked the set up and stylings of the shop(circa 1966, just about the time James Brown was crooning the song of the same name) proudly on display through the wall-to-wall windows. So, when it came time to sample new barbers, Man’s World was the only place I knew of that — at the very least — professed to deliver the kind of cut for which I was searching. Deliver, they did — rather, Ric, did. I made a same day appointment to see Ric and was greeted by name as I entered — no phone number, tax return or email was required before I sat down — imagine that! Ric asked me about my preferences, explained his approach to cutting hair and actually took a few passes at my sides to determine exactly how close I meant by «close». Despite the care he took to make sure he did the job right, he had me in and out(this includes a wash, rinse and style, mind you) in about 30 minutes and I left 100% happy with my cut and 100% comfortable going right into a business meeting. Several days later, I find my hair is actually easier to style and seemingly goes right back the way it did when I left Ric — amazing! I have found my new barber and recommend you do the same. If you’re a man, and you have hair, and you need it cut — look no further than Man’s World! Now if i can just get that James Brown song out of my head…

Walked in and got a great cut. Barbers were friendly and the place was clean. A bit more upscale than the neighborhood shops I used to frequent as a kid but had the same feel. Cut was quick and clean. Checked when I got home but there was no need to clean up random long hairs like some of the other shops.

I started getting my hair cuts done here a couple months ago and I could not be more satisfied. I’m a young guy(20) and know how precise I like my hair cuts to be. Man’s World definitely gets the job done and for the right price!

I have been going here for close to twenty years. Nathan cut my hair for years until he started to work less and now Mac does it. They do a great job, easy scheduling, quick service, outstanding quality.
