Onsen Hotspring Spa Sales

Visiting people in Eugene on a rainy, cold, yucky day. Found this place randomly, and called them up and they had a hot tub available. Place is tucked away off a backstreet across from UofO. Free parking!
$ 25 for an hour for TWO people! Hot tub was around 103 degrees, and the area was open to the elements above except for the changing area. Tubs were CLEAN. Staff was FRIENDLY. Place felt GOOD! Great place to relax!
Would definitely recommend this place to people who are looking to soak away their worries, warm up their bodies, and seek relief from the cold. Definitely would go to again! ⁵⁄₅!

I’ve been coming here for years and have really slacked on getting a review up. The wife and I always enjoy a nice soak after a day of hiking/​exploring around Eugene, followed by dinner at one of our favorite restaurants. Onsen is a perfect nightcap. Always clean and the staff is friendly.

What an awesome business! After being so caught up with school and my crazy life it felt amazing to just relax for an hour in the hot tub alongside my significant other. The hot tubs are drained daily and cleaned after use which was comforting! Staff is super friendly and just an exciting bunch every time I have been to Onsen. Need to just simply relax with an open roof, head to Onsen. You won’t be disappointed with the price either as I found it very reasonable.

Clean. Private. Comfortable. Feels great to soak in a tub while looking up at the stars. We tried it for the first time. We were impressed and plan on going monthly. $ 25 for two for one hour. Great deal. Friendly staff clean environment. Give it a try. You’ll feel great especially afterwards. So relaxing! Just make sure you hang up your clothes and not place anything on the floor. It’ll get wet.

Great experience here. We had never been and it was a date night so I surprised my husband by booking it after dinner at Grit. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful, showed us to the room and checked in with us as we left. It had rained a lot and was sprinkling while we were there so it was refreshing. There is an outdoor shower that had warm water though it is open air, and the only covered area inside the room is over a bench and hooks. We couldn’t hear anyone else’s conversations or anything though it was a Saturday night and pretty booked. Definitely doing it again!

I may be over-​rating Onsen because we don’t have anything like this back in Chicago, but I’m a huge fan.
I know a lot of people would be totally grossed out by the idea of renting a hot tub, but its less gross than the gym to me because they clean it after every rental instead of every evening. It was less sketch than I would expect too, no super overt sex sounds while I was there, friendly staff, clean rooms and all that jazz. The hot tubs are super hot too!
I was surprised at how pretty the surrounding are too, since its in a more commercial area of town. Its set up against some beautiful trees and as others have mentioned, some tubs are open to the ski while others are covered. They also have an option to use a room with both a sauna and tub for $ 40 an hour (the regular rate is $ 25 an hour for two people), but I haven’t tried that yet.
Its a great option for a cool Eugene day or a relaxing Friday night with your SO :)

Don’t have a hot tub or a friend with one? This is a great option for when you really just need a place to soak your aching muscles. Friendly staff, hot tubs with an option for larger rooms, cool showerheads above the tubs, and open to the sky. Who wouldn’t want to indulge on occasion?

I know giving a 5 star to a hot tub place right!!! Well here it goes!!! We have a hot tub at home and don’t like the expense, because of EWEBS ever growing costs, and then there is the up keep so we have found Onsen to be our go to when we want to take a soak in a hot tub. For one they are clean, friendly staff, and private rooms. I also like that you get to enjoy looking at the sky no matter what weather your having. I also enjoy the relaxing music they play. It’s well worth the money compared to the money increase on my EWEB bill monthly.

I give 3 stars instead of 4 because about half the time we go there is always some couple having sex and idk about you but when I’m trying to relax I don’t want to listen to moans of a dying whale. And my bf got poked by a tooth pick that was in our tub one time. Other than that I like coming here.

Not wanting to mess with the upkeep of a hot tub ourselves we started going to Onsen semi-​regularly last year. The staff has always been friendly and attentive. The hot tubs and rooms are always clean which is a huge plus.
Soaking in the tub under the clear night sky (it does happen occasionally) with a nice cigar is right at the top of my weekend to do list usually.
The prices are more than fair. About 20 bucks for an hour. They offer a variety of canned soda and Kern’s Nectar’s. Or you can get a free pitcher of water. They also offer towels but I do not know if there is a charge for that as we always bring our own.
The rooms are quite private even being open air. You can hear the usual reggae music drumming through the place which is somehow very fitting while soaking.
You also (as in the case of our last soak) sometimes hear the. carnal sounds of others. As for last nights performance I give you two 4 stars for volume, but only 2 stars for length. Better luck next time?

It was a nice experience. The staff was friendly. They squeezed us inbetween the stupid UofO kids who showed up late, and still expected their hour time slot. Nice clean area, the only thing the group I went with would have lked was if we could turn the water temp down a few degrees since it is at 102 however if it was just at 99 or 100 that would be much better for you to actually stay in it the entire time. We kept getting out and letting our legs in or standing up when we were getting too hot and uncomfortable. The bamboo stick mister thing was nice and refreshing. The shower was cold as snot if you tried using it before getting into the tub, but after it again was a nice way to cool down quickly before getting back into the water which for us was a little too warm.
We plan to go back again. There are coupons online, so use those.

nice, clean, natural looking, wooden rooms with hot tubs to rent by the hour. it starts at $ 20. there are some coupons out there for college students etc.
it’s a fun activity every once in a while and compared to a few other hot tub places i’ve been to (not in Eugene) this actually isn’t that expensive.

What a wonderful way to unwind with the ones you love. Clean, private tubs-​great people… so worth every dime.

I like Onsens, I really do. Their tubs are big and they drain them daily, both of which are great. The down sides are some of our tub’s jets didn’t work. Open air is a great option when it’s not pissing down rain. Our water wasn’t very hot when we got in. It was so full of rain water and debris we both felt pretty grossed out getting in naked. The shower was in the corner (in the rain) and not practical to rinse off with.

if they had kept the tubs covered until the rooms were occupied and they hadn’t charged us $ 23 ($ 3 more than their website stated) I would have given a solid 4 star review.

What a cool place to find! We were visiting Eugene from CA, and this was the perfect spot to relax and help rejuvenate and recharge ourselves. Very convenient to downtown, cute location and great hours. The guys that worked there were totally nice too. I love the open roof to see the sky above while you relax. I will defiantly come back next time I’m in town!

If you read my reviews, I try not to dish out 5 stars to liberally… Onsen deserves every freaking star.
I have never went and did the «spa» thing, but I have to tell you… my wife and I felt like we were kids again.
Onsen is nestled in the middle of some evergreens, in an area I would never expect it. Checking in, there was a younger guy who was very nice and very cool. He told us that he had no other reservations for the evening, and that would could stay as long as we liked at no extra charge. Seriously? Did that just happen? At $ 20 an hour, that’s freaking awesome of him to do that. I surely tipped him on the way out.
The room was about 12’x12’…Tub was in one corner, shower in the other, a bench and a few potted trees. Some of the rooms have a full view of the sky, and others have a half-​view of the sky. Water was at 102 degrees if I remember right and it was perfect.
My favorite feature? They had a bamboo stick on a rope that hung next to the tub. By pulling this stick, you got a shower of cold water from a spout above to cool you down if needed. So really, the mist kind of simulated rain. This was money. I couldn’t get enough of it. I doubt they want people doing this, but I rigged the rope around the shower head so I had a constant spray going.
The night we had was awesome, it started great and ended even better with winding down at Onsen. I hate that we just discovered this and now we’re moving. I highly suggest giving it a shot, you can’t beat it!

I have to admit I was a little scared to go b/​c of the stories I’ve heard and it’s been since high school that I’ve visited this place. But I was impressed, it was clean the staff seemed friendly and It wasn’t too expensive to relax in the hot tubs. My friend used to live across the street and we used to people watch out her balcony and joke about the stories we’ve heard about this place but I was wrong, it’s a really cool place to relax at. I will hit it up again the next time I need a dip.

Great place to relax! Call ahead to reserve just in case its busy upon walk-​in. They have hot tub rooms that are covered and uncovered… your choice. Extra charge if you want a drink or towel. Only drawback is sometimes you can hear «intimate» noises from yonder. It’s a hit and miss kinda thing.

I miss college. And only partly because of having access to Onsen. Every time I went, it was clean, quiet, relaxing, and friendly. It’s walking distance to the UO dorms, just off Franklin Blvd., and feels like it’s way out in the Three Sisters Wilderness. An awesome escape from any stresses or worries of the city.
Having experienced other hot tub rental places, I’m especially impressed by Onsen’s pricing structure. They recognize that it costs them the same whether there’s 1 person in the tub or 8, so rates are moderate for the first person and just a small surcharge for each additional person.
Onsen’s definitely on my mind anytime I head to town for a visit! And today, I could REALLY use a relaxing soak… anybody want to join me? ;)

Oh my lord, I was so relaxed after an hour at Onsen. $ 20 for the two of us to spend an hour in a private tub was worth every penny. The facilities are kept very clean. In fact, we tried to go on New Year’s day and they told us to come back later because they were deep cleaning the tubs after some customers made a mess the night before. I was really glad to see they would be honest with us instead of taking our money and putting us in a grungy hot tub. It earned them big points in my book.
Don’t bring booze or food, but non-​alcoholic drinks are okay. They sell juice or will provide you with free pitchers of water on request. You can rent a clean towel from them for an extra dollar if you don’t want to bring your own. I would definitely recommend this place!
