If I recommended R & R Properties a thousand times, it wouldn’t be enough. My husband and I are new parents, and first time home buyers. We had absolutely no idea what we were doing, but we were excited and ready to dive head first into the home buying process. I don’t know what we would’ve done without Bill. He helped us every step of the way: giving advice, making himself available on our lunch hours or his days off, sending us emails weekly, and basically holding our hands throughout the entire process. He was so honest and we trusted him immensely(something you NEED when buying a home). If there was a 10 star option-he would get it. We can’t ever truly express our full gratitude for this company-but we are so grateful, confident, and over-the-moon excited for this next chapter in our lives! THANKYOU.

If you’re a glutton for punishment, go with R&R! They are miserable people! Want someone to be condescending to you? They’ll deliver. Slumlords who treat YOU like YOU’RE the problem? You’ve got it w/R&R. Harassment to no end just because you ask for minimal services? Again, they are very versed on this! Believe me, if Unilocal had a negative star rating, they’d be showing a score waaaaay off the scale in the negative! Do yourself a favor and SKIP R&R …unless you want to be living in hell dealing with them! Bill Nelson, the co-owner, is a pro at TERRIBLEMANAGEMENT and his«team» emulates him, follows his disagreeable practices.

This company was a nightmare to deal with and I didn’t even rent a property from them! First off, I called to get information about a property and applying for a property from out of state. The woman I spoke to sounded completely bothered that I called to ask about a property and told me all the information was online. I looked up the information online and put in an application. I emailed the application as per the instructions and asked in the email when I could send a proxy to view the property. I got no response. My husband called two days later(Thursday) and asked if our application had been received. The woman told my husband that it takes a long time for them to receive the applications and that they would call us when the application was received. Seven days later(the next Thursday) I called R&R back to check on the application. The woman informed me they did not have my application. I told her that I emailed it to her last Tuesday. She checked through her inbox and said she had nothing. I told her, it was a week from Tuesday that I applied not the Tuesday that just passed and she said«I hadn’t considered that.» She had to go back a week to find my application sitting in her inbox. Then she informed me that the viewing of the apartment was that afternoon and I’d need to find a proxy to come or my application would be considered incomplete. I found someone last minute and confirmed with R&R that my proxy would attend the open house. The woman on the phone informed me that my application would be in the running with one other because we had applied so early. However, their website states that they accept and review applications on a first come first serve basis and I feel that my application was likely in before the other application but was unnoticed in the inbox. Basically, I was being punished because of their poor management skills. After the proxy viewed the property I did not hear anything from the company. Numerous calls went unanswered. Finally, I sent an email to which I was simply informed«the property has been rented.» No one kept in contact with me or was even going to tell me that I did not get the property. I asked if my application had been screened because if it hadn’t, I wanted my application fee back. The woman informed me I would not be getting my fee back but would not say if my application was screened. Per Oregon rental rights and duties, if my application was not screened, I am legally owed the fee I paid to have my application screened. So R&R has stolen money from me that I would like back. Overall this company was unprofessional, almost impossible to get ahold of, and frankly rude. The process of trying to rent an apartment from them was ridiculous and I would not recommend this company to anyone.
