We highly recommend Ram Jack. The initial estimate/​evaluation was quite thorough and clearly explained. The work was performed by two experienced, competent, and friendly employees, with great attention to detail. We liked the fact that an I-​bar offered additional foundation support, something not offered in the estimate we received from another company. Everyone in the company with whom we had contact with was friendly, phone calls were returned on time, our schedule was accommodated, etc. We’re very pleased with the work that was done.

Our house sits on the edge of a Newport hillside that was involved in a major landslide 20 years ago. The hillside was rebuilt and has held very well. This spring when the house was empty after a long-​term renter left, it became obvious that the sides of the house nearest the hillside had settled in those 20 years. There were major wall cracks in several rooms and the floor was clearly uneven – so we called Ram Jack West for an estimate. The estimator was very knowledgeable and explained in detail the serious work that was needed to restore stability to the foundation – 10 helical piers to be drilled into the hillside until bedrock was reached. The $ 20,000 cost was over ¹⁄₃ less than another bid – and the work comes with a guarantee and low-​interest financing was available through a Ram Jack connection.
The foundation work was completed in only 4 days by a very competent crew who worked hard, explained the whole process very clearly, and showed me how the helical piers were drilled down 45 feet to be solidly fixed. When they finished the work, they restored the area around the foundation so that no one could tell that any work had been done.
We are delighted and relieved to know that a company like Ram Jack is available in this area – we recommend them without reservation. If you need foundation work, this is the right place to come.

I live in Portland and I found cracks in my foundation that seem to be growing over the past few months and a support post in the basement had started to crack and there were cracks in my upstairs wall near the issue below. I called Ram Jack and they were able to send someone the same day which was such a relief! The best was that Kirt did a few tests — spent about an hour here and this report was that our house had no issues. He suggested we replace the post and that any contractor could do that — If we had them do it we would be paying extra for no good reason. What a great guy! Very knowledge and honest. Good company.

EXCELLENT service and work. Ken and Michael were very attentive to our needs, and when they said they would start work on X date and then changed it, made every attempt to comply with our agreement. They asked us for an evaluation at the end of the project (which was, by the way, done ON TIME!), and while I was more than pleased, I did leave a comment about a rather trivial matter — our neighbors complained about some silt left in the cul-​de-​sac. Within days, that was cleaned up. While I hope I never see RamJack again, I have to say that the 2 times we did need them for foundation work, they went above and beyond our expectations.
