GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICHES & TOMATO SOUP
So reads the side of this truck parked behind the Kennell Ellis Building, and rightly so. If you come here, you’d better be ready to get your grilled cheese on.
I tried The Classic — a generous amount of good-​tasting Cheddar with sliced fresh tomatoes grilled perfectly on sourdough for $ 5. Of course they have others — Eat Your Veggies (Cheddar, avocado, spinach, grilled onions and tomatoes for $ 6.50) and The Meat Lover’s Cheeze (Cheddar, ham & bacon, fresh tomato for $ 7.50). And they make others. You can add extra cheese, extra ham, bacon, avocado, jalapeño. It takes a few minutes to grill these up.
Chili’s also on the menu, but I ordered the creamy tomato basil soup. It was creamy, with strong tomato flavor and basil. This would be worth a stop by itself.
