This place is inside a little arcade-ish — no place to sit, except one table where you can wait for your order. The pizza was not very good… seriously disappointed! Won’t go back

WOW, great pizza… loved it. I am big pizza fan, love it in a lotta ways, but generally go for the NYSTYLE big slice triangles, etc… ALTAGLIO is my new fave… better, thicker cheese and good sauce. Nice toppings, and wife had a side anti-pasta salad she liked. I’ve had the pies three times, once delivered thru their service… most happy. It may not be the finest in the world, or in the west, but it’s my top choice for Eugene right now. Might get crampt in that small area, but worth it. Friendly busy vibe and nice conversation with owner(?) chef as well. other local pizza notes: Loved SYS, still go, a little doughy. not enuff sauce cheese spread out, but no probs I know what I’m gettin’ here, and it’s good for quick food fun and such in UO area. Whirled Pies… really like these guys, started going after they opened to pick up. NO complaints, good fresh toppings, nice people and place, fair prices. Only thing not liked… the register, walk up, ordering method and pick-ups…maybe it’s better now but it could get a little tight, confusing, and time-consuming when coming in at different times for orders. my go to number 2 I think… now that I’ve found Al Taglio. La perla… not impressed, overpriced. Mezza Luna… better, but not like I was told it would be. Top ten, but I really only seem to go back or care about the top 5. Za Cart — Pizza By The Slice guy on chambers/7th: not bad, sauce taste was so familiar… I can’t place it just now, but a popular canned sauce or something very well known and used for base or straight on, I dunno really.

We ordered a cheese pizza and salad to eat while watching the Ducks play. I had my fingers crossed that it would pass muster with the New York transplants in my circle. They liked it! Cascade Courier Collective is their delivery system and it was super easy to use. We will be returning.

i went in wondering what the pastrami and swiss was goin to taste like. I ended up liking it. I actually didn’t eat it right away, I put it away in a Tupperware bowl for later, I figured Ide get to fully appreciate it cold… and I did. as you can see in some of the photos, lunch is served on a metal slash aluminum plate meant for heating whatever I suppose… and aside from the to go order of the pastrami and swiss sandwich I also ordered the lunch special consisting of a salad and slice of pizza. It was served on a metal plate. so sticking the fork into the salad was both annoying as well as unfun. Besides the caesre salad is not awesome.

I had the buffalo chicken panini. It was fantastic. It was full of flavor and very crispy which I love! I will be back soon!

Hands down, the BEST gluten-free pizza crust and gluten-free brownies!!! Order the gluten-free pesto&seasonal veggie pizza, spinach salad, gluten-free brownie, and a blood orange Pellegrino – whether you’re working late at the office or nesting at home, the bike delivery option makes it so you can have an awesome dinner without going to pick it up. In addition, because they’re open fairly early in the day, Al Taglio is a fantastic spot to order from for business lunches. It has a menu that pleases various types of diets and personalities, I receive nothing but kudos from all when I suggest lunch from Al Taglio’s! Dedicated staff. Rockin’ food.

Al Taglio offers a really good slice of New York style Pizza in downtown Eugene. It’s nice to have a NY style place downtown, with the only other slice option before being Sizzle Pie. I had just a classic slice of pepperoni. It was almost perfect — good sauce to cheese ratio and the pepperoni was perfect and abundant. Crust was very slightly burnt on the edge, but I actually don’t mind that at all. Really good slice of pizza. The only downside as mentioned by others is the size. Not a whole lot of room, but it’s a really charming little place with a good atmosphere being right next to Big City Gamin. In comparison to Sy’s, the go-to Eugene spot for NY style pizza, I’d say it matches if not exceeds. The crust seemed slightly thinner and fresher for a slice as well. It’s a little less greasy too which is nice. Overall, if you like NY style pizza this may be the best option in Eugene!

Real NY pizza pie in EUG! What a cool place to eat pizza and play the coolest new video games next door! The pizza is so good! They have a few different slice options and the price is very reasonable. I tried the panini last night with a salad and wow what a nice tasty meal! The combo pizza slices are highly recommended!

A bit pricey. But you can taste the quality. You can play videogames for free next door if you buy a slice as well. A good addition to the downtown area, nice place for a quick bite or a pregame destination.

I ordered a whole pizza from this place for the first time last night. It was sausage and carmelized onion. They only sell one size of the standard pizzas(18″). Their prices range from $ 18(cheese) to $ 23(pesto chicken pizza) or you can build your own. They also sell by the slice($ 2.75/ cheese, $ 3.25/pepperoni and up depending on toppings). They also sell appetizers, salads, and sandwiches. They also sell gluten free pizzas(10″) which are supposed to be pretty good but I haven’t tried that one yet. I liked the pizza although I will admit that new york style is not my favorite. The crust was so thin the pizza could easily be folded in half. In that type of pizza the cheese tends to dominate in the experience because the crust is too thin to put too many toppings on. I like lots of toppings so it was hard to imagine I would eat a lot from here. That said, I could see how someone else would love this kind of pizza and I thought it was good quality for what it was. I did not deduct a star for that bias since the quality of the food seemed good. Rather my star deduction was for the limited seating for families. There are only a few small round tables with high, uncomfortable metal seats. Really this pizza place and the adjoining bar are there to serve people playing video games in Big City Gamin. But it is definitely not a place to bring a large group of folks who want to sit around a table with each other. Best just to get your pizza for take out in that case. I was impressed with the folks behind the counter. They were some of the nicest I’ve come across in food service in a while. If you like super thin crust pizza you should be pleased.

My husband and I tried the pizza slices and the pesto chicken panini! Everything was so great and fresh, specially the panini. Everyone should try the pesto chicken panini there. The chief was so nice. We will come back for sure!

Best slice of pizza in Eugene. They also have salads and sandwiches for a nice variety. The bar that’s connected to the restaurant has 30 Beers on tap! Great selections and service. Yummy!

Best pizza I’ve had in a while! Odd atmosphere(literally part of Big City Gaming), but plenty of taps(including a cider that tasted exactly like apple pie) and friendly service. Got the veggie pesto pizza plus salami… yumm!!! It had butternut squash, zucchini, grilled onions and just the right amount of salami. Thin, crispy crust… kind of addicting if you dig big slices and thin crust with plenty of cheese. And, they have bike delivery available in you live close to downtown. Move over Pegasus!

I’m from NY and have found Eugene to be pretty much devoid of good NY style pizza. Ordered a pizza to go from Al Taglio(pepperoni and basil), got home, tried it and bingo! This is darn good pizza, like you’ll find in NYC. Nice thin crust, great sauce and cheese, everyone loved it. We’ll be back.

After days of cooking for guests and extended family I was ready for a break! Al Taglio was the perfect choice for a houseful of people with diverse tastes. We ordered three different pies and all were exceptional. The service was excellent. We’ll definitely return often.

Happened to catch them before they closed on Christmas Eve. Grabbed the last two slices they had, a garlic and a fiery italian. The garlic was good just not my normal pizza fare. Really liked the fiery italian, good flavor and a little heat.
