They have a good selection of clothing. Some things are a great price others overpriced(way). I go to thrift stores to find vintage«treasures». What is mystifying to me is they way overprice things that I can find in a vintage retail store for way, way less(example wool blankets) $ 189.00 for a frickin’ wool blanket? With holes? Why? The Division store has this cool huge antique scrapbook that is torn to shreds for $ 100 again, totally not worth it and why? Also, annoying their inventory for the most part is donated and some of us agree overpriced and as I’m checking out they ask if I want to donate money for their food drive. Wait didn’t I just donate by purchasing your overpriced stuff. I will continue to shop at SVDP.ugh. I support what they do for the most part. It’s a love hate thing.

Recently, they decided to stop sorting their clothing and shoes by size, now, they sort by style and color instead. Bad idea! There is a reason pretty much every other store in the universe sorts by size. What customer would want to waste hours sorting through the entire store when only a small percent of it is actually their size?! Who has time for that?!! Also, they’ve recently decided to raise their prices. Interesting, considering they were already overpriced… I’m pretty much over St. Vinnie’s until they put things back in size order. It’s just too much trouble to dig through the entire store.

This place is pretty big. They have a HUGE selection of books! I could go crazy here. I just had a few minutes — so I ran in to check things out. I think they were getting ready to close or I would of spent some time in their book section — it looked like a library(I’m salivating!!). They had some furniture, lots of small stuff, lots of Christmas. Of course clothes. I’m coming back.

Good choice of furniture. Fewer clothes than the Seneca location. Little or no home goods

Today, I’m clicking along happily in my brand-new-actually-used-but-still-pristine Steve Madden strappy leather heels.($ 16.) If you’ll direct your attention up my legs, you’ll see that I’m wearing a slinky, well-cut and fashionably slit black skirt.($ 3.) Farther up, I’m sporting a charcoal grey curve-hugging scoop neck top with three quarters sleeves and tummy-tucking capabilities.($ 3.) Total Fashion Plate Price: $ 22(outerwear & accessories not included.) Other squeal-inducing finds: A pair of new Adidas Superstar track pants(long-coveted, but never owned at its appalling $ 60 retail price) now mine for $ 9! An antique PNW fly-fishing, blue collar Santa wood carving(to add to my mother-in-law’s collection.) Perfect kitsch for $ 4! A $ 3 pair of denim-strapped Keds, perfect for foot-modeling, picnicking, strolling, or running through a sunny field of wildflowers. These Keds could create serious Pinterest envy. A $ 5 pair of bootcut American Eagle guy jeans, broken in just so, and ready to last another lifetime. A beautifully dyed Indonesian dress of light, flowing cotton; dark blue streaks on an orange background, sleeveless & hipppy-chic. This $ 4 darling was my Oregon Country Fair«I’m looking to blend in» dress. Bottom Line: The West 11th St. Vinnie’s location is the shiznits. Come check it out for yourself. With not too much sleuthing, you’ll find something awesome.
