I love this place. I don’t go in as often as I’d like but when I do, I always find a treasure.

Good, clean, quality furniture and other items at reasonable prices. True enough, they don’t pay big for what you have for sale and that’s why they can offer folks like a me a good deal. All the staff is helpful (have been for me anyway) and I stop in often because the turn over of furniture in this store is FAST. Believe me … if you hesitate, it will be gone.

River Road 2nd Hand is NEW to me!
1) The place is family owned and operated by people who genuinely like to make a living providing a service.
2) The furniture is in great shape!
3) The quality is amazing. Dave and Nancy tend to buy items from wealthy households with families who are just ready for a change. That’s a win-​win for everyone!
I have filled one condo and three apartments with their merchandise over the past 10 years and I have been very pleased.
Lastly, their prices are pretty darn firm. While this will upset some who like to think their bargain basement shoppers, I appreciate that they know what they have to make on each item in order to keep their doors open and they don’t sell it for a penny more.

Total rip-​off if you’re trying to sell anything. They came in to look at our furniture, and gave us ridiculously low quotes. Might as well have put the furniture on the street for that. Just out of curiosity, I asked them what they would offer for our 3 year old, perfect condition, solid mahogany (and I mean SOLID, even the drawer walls are nearly an inch thick, requires four strong men to move, let alone lift), handmade bar that cost well over $ 3000 new. They said: «We’ll take it off your hands for $ 80».

Lots of quality stuff — not a lot of antiques — I think their prices are about 1⁄3 to ½ the price of new. Everything is top quality — no junk. Lots of tools, furniture, knick knack stuff, pictures, mattresses… Almost new or gently used.

LOVE the selection, value & service. I consistently LOVE shopping here, as there are ALWAYS treasures to be had at GREAT prices. If you’re in the neighborhood you oughta do yourself a favor & cruise through there. You will no doubt find one or more things you can’t live without. This is place is FUN!

OK, this place ROCKS. They are constantly getting in new stuff, and everything here is quality and in good condition. I will never go to Goodwill again for furniture, because the prices there are much higher than River Road 2nd Hand, and the stuff at GW is totally crappy.
Check out RR2nd Hand for furniture, electronics, tools, DVDs, décor, and more. I cannot believe the great prices here considering the high quality. Don’t let the run-​down River Road area location fool you.
