I love this online store. I live in Cali so thats the only way I get to order from Tactics. The last two Christmases, I have ordered skate stuff for my son. Their prices are great, shipping is easy & fast. I’ve only had to call a couple of times on an order, and whoever I get on the phone has always been very nice. Thank You!

Like other customers I shopped at Tactics online. Great customer service and competitive pricing. If the store is open, give them a call and the staff are happy to answer any questions you might have. Awesome selection of snowboard equipment other gear. Shipping is fast and items are packaged well without fear of being damaged during shipment.

TACTICS is the best online skateshop out there… while others claim «100% Live Inventory»…TACTICS DELIVERS!!! Fast, free shipping, huge inventory, and painless returns and exchanges. My Indy bolt holes were slightly crooked, out of location by .040″ of an inch. They are likely skateable, but I’m picky and own a dial caliper. TACTICS delivered a new set of trucks in two days and didn’t charge for the shipping on the return. I’ve placed over a dozen orders with Tactics and it’s always a pleasant experience. This is the first time I’ve had to make a return, I’m happy to say it was quick and painless. THANK YOU!!!

I brought my 15 year old son in for like the 100^th time this year to get some trucks, wheels, bearings and the guys who help us were outstanding. I’ve spent close to $ 500 there this year but this last $ 90 was the best I’ve spent. I only like skateboarding because my son does and because he does I’m all in. But the guys that help us were personable, smart, passionate about skating AND talked to him about their education and how going to college is important. We always enjoyed our visits to tactics but now I’m a racing fan.

I ordered a pair of sunglasses, with rush shipping for a trip. The product arrived on time, but it wasn’t the right product. They sent me the wrong pair of sunglasses.
When I called them, they were very happy to help me fix the problem; I was going to send the product back and they would send me the correct set. However, they realized they didn’t have anymore in stock of the correct pair of sunglasses.
I let them know I would just like a refund, but they informed me they couldn’t refund the shipping cost since I received that service??? Apparently I should have to pay for their mess up of sending me the wrong product? This is some seriously messed up logic.
I will update my review if they change their mind and I actually get a FULL refund. So far, ordering from Tactics has just been a headache.

This place is on FIRE! The TL;DR (Too Long;Didn’t Read) version is that by the end of my shopping experience – which involved taking my rusted longboard apart, McGyuvering the hardware off, and putting it back together – we were all laughing, cracking jokes while the whole Tactics family participated in making sure I had the most incredible service!
I have been living on Kauai the last year, and there is one local skate shop which I frequent to help support local – Yes I Skate shop, and Cameron that owns and runs it is awesome! So, it’s nice to be here in Eugene for a few months and have another incredible local shop that feels as huge as the island of Kauai haha!
So, I came in with a street skateboard to grip, get trucks and get it up to speed! As soon as I walked in, Justin and Kimberly said hello, with genuine friendlieness.
I can tell it was real… I am so used to the aloha spirit over where I live!
I told them I was on a mission and Kimberly got started on my board… 15 minutes and $ 65 later I had a badass little skateboard to cruise around with!
The challenge came when my longboard, with Kauai rusted hardware, created a big mess. The hardware got stuck, we panicked thinking I had to buy a hand saw to cut the bolts, and that meant that I would be out of a longboard for a day until I managed to fix it.
But no worries, within a couple minutes the problem was being solved! With the best kind of teamwork, which involved pretty much every awesome attitude in there – including the manager Justin, Kimberly, Kam, Will, Roberto and Drake! The whole team made sure things ran smoothly as we all pummeled our way to victory!
The marine environment of Kauai island had created a combination of rust and salt corrosion that had made the hardware all but impossible to take off, which meant that the bolts were stripped when the hardware was being taken off.
But some quick thinking by me, and the rest of the team meant that we managed to find a pair of vice grips… two of the awesome employees went to TOWN getting my board back up to tip top shape!
These guys completely went out of their way to ensure that I left one happy skating customer! I offered to buy them pizza, which I thought they deserved, but they told me that they owed me for making me wait so long.
I have lived on the Hawaiian Islands for 4 years now that there really isn’t ever any rush to get things done, especially when life happens and challenges come up! So, it wasn’t a wait for me at all. It was a chance to get to be friends with these badasses!
Kimberly especially was a team player, and I could tell she wanted to take on some of the responsibility of the situation, but I knew that sometimes technology, even simple things like nuts, bolts and other stuff just «get stuck.»
The best part is that by remaining calm, and rationally thinking our way through the situation, we were all able to solve the issue.
in the end, I got my board back in tip top shape!

Awesome skateboard shop. I ordered some skateboarding hardware (sector 9) and it came super fast !! I live in Hawaii and came faster than any other internet vendor. I needed some hardware for my knife sheath. It was plastic (kydex) knife sheath for a MOD razorback knife (ayoob) and needed some bolts and nuts to attach the blade-​tech belt clip. I checked ebay but every seller charged an arm and leg for just bolts. Tactics had super fast service just for bolts ! I was amazed.
Their website is well organized and has a huuuuuuuuuuuuuge selection.
I use to skateboard long time ago back in the 90’s. I was a military dependent living overseas and we had to order all of our stuff from catalogs (California Skate Express, Cheap Skates, FTC).
internet was still fresh so there was no such thing as ordering online. I wish we had Tactics Board shop back then.

Very friendly people, very good store. I bought some board shorts online and took them into the store to get them for a smaller size. The return was easy and the exchange came the next day. Will definitely be a returning customer.

I have to give this place the best rating ever… I went in to buy a wallet and look at some eyewear and the dude that helped me was very cool and calm he understood how hard it was to find an item as personal as sunglasses he took me around the displays and showed me everything I asked for I ended up getting a wallet only and a really cool air freshener. And some free decals they had… All at good price and very nice attitude. As I am walking out the door the guy that helped me ran and open the door for me… I forgot to mention I need a cane to ambulate… Best place ever…

So the poor star rating is simply based on not getting what I ordered when I needed it for a trip. The folks there seemed like they were genuinely sorry and offered to get me something while I was on vacation, but I was in Europe for only a week and it would not have made it. I used their free shipping, had 10 days to between the order and my flight vacation and it did not make it.
So here is where I think this is more than a ups issue. Tactics used ups and then ups gives it to the usps. I tracked the goggles to my area, and then it got lost once transferred to usps. It took 18 days to get it to me to got back from my vacation one day after it arrived. So beware of their shipping process.

I ordered a long board deck and bearings online for my boyfriend’s Christmas present. There’s no sales tax and free shipping! Tactics had exactly what I wanted and on top of that the shipping was FAST. I ordered an item off of American Eagle prior to this purchase. They were both supposed to arrive at the same time, but it still has not come yet. I will definitely shop here again!

Large selection. Helpful staff. My son bought a deck and grip tape. They had all the items in stock. If you’re a skater, this is the shop for you!

Me down the last time I was in there i was looking for a sector 9 striker but they only had the deck. So I showed them a list of the hardware and hey fixed it up for me I got it for $ 40 cheaper than buying it from sector 9 online plus I got bones reds instead of the factory brand bearings. Looking for stickers to deck out you new ride ask the person behind the counter and they will hook you up for free. Tactics forever!

Great selection of gear weather it be snowboarding, skateboarding or surfing. All the employees are super cool and helpful. Overall one of the best skate shops I have ever been to. And I have checked out many.

These guys are hands down amazing. Spoke with Chris, got a price match in about 2 seconds, met it, put in my order.
Their online stock is LIVE, so they won’t be special ordering anything for you (happened to me with two other companies before I found Tactics).
I am a harsh critic and well researched consumer, these guys absolutely meet my five star rating. Looking forward to doing business with them in the future.

Online purchasing review.
I’ve ordered twice from Tactics.
Best prices on the internet for surfing gear. Great selection.
The staff is really friendly and knowledgeable from both times that I’ve called them and had questions about gear.
The first time, I needed a rush shipping order for some surfing equipment for a trip in five days. They promised that I would receive the gear in time for my trip and upgraded my shipping from ground to 2^nd day shipping without charge!
If I can’t find the gear I’m looking for at my local surf shop, I’ll definitely be ordering from these guys again. And if you’re outside of Eugene, do the same!

Good crew doing the online fufillment (thx McKenna), ordered from them and in spite USPS flub, they got me H1 fins that fit quite nice into the quad set-up…ordered from them before my Bali trip last may and the gear got out in time… if you have to surf in OR (burr) or snowboard… check’em out…
