We were lured in by the number of high reviews, I am not sure how these reviews are possible. The staff was very nice and the location /décor is very nice as well. As for food and drink, sorry this place doesn’t rank, they produce a variety of ciders that taste the same, and while some may say the taste was earthy, I call it dirt. Along with our flight of cider we ordered an appetizer of deep fried zucchini, for $ 7 we received 7 tiny pieces of zucchini.(each piece approx 2 ½ «x 3/8») I understand the idea appetizers being small, but come on this was ridiculous.

The food and cider deserve a 5, so why a 3 star rating? The snail pace of service. I’ve worked restaurant before and good service means at least some hustle. There is absolutely no hustle here. That said, the food is great, the cider, yummy, and the atmosphere very comfortable. This should be easily a 5 star place, but the efficiency of customer service is far lacking. Don’t go when you’re really hungry. You’ll have a long wait for just about everything.

##UPDATED##(first visit) First impression, walking through the door the greeting was a little cold and not really friendly. We were told to wait on a seat, and about five minutes later the hostess walked around the corner and realized that there were two tables available that we didn’t really need to wait on. But our waitress ended up being very friendly. Overall, the lamb was great, as well as the Mac and cheese. The lamb was a very small portion, but for the price we realized that we should just order two next time because we did split. We had to send the Caesar salad back because it was very salty and doused with dressing. But the one they sent back out was perfect. They also did it with a smile on their face as we were friendly to them as well. Overall, with the cold greeting and a very long wait for the food with only one dish coming out at a time, I would rate this a three star. On a side note the cider was ok. I would rate the food higher, but I have to score the overall experience.(Second visit) I really don’t know why we chose to go back, but the lamb was pretty good the first time. Second time the service was even more rude and awkward and uncomfortable, and the food was not quite as good this time. Just don’t go here is the bottom line.

A great addition to the Eugene fine dining scene. I’m not a cider buff, but the food here rocked! Small restaurant with a young fun crowd. Knowledgeable friendly service. And excellent food. A bit away from the heart of the Whit, it’s well worth a visit. Small menu with notably good specials and flawless execution. On our last visit we had a delicious, generous salad of mixed field greens, dried fruits and nuts. Also a slab of polenta with savory mushrooms and veggies, and a kebab of lamb and onion. Their savory crepes are well sauced and delicious too. Service is warm and knowledgable, ambience is pleasantly hip, owner made all of the wood furnishings and much of the artwork. Like this place, a lot.

Order one of each. You can try a flight of all their ciders or just a few. There wasn’t one I didn’t like. The food is the only reason to subtract a star, I did not think I got my moneys worth with the food. Small portions and not terribly flavorful.

Enjoy their selection of ciders. Ordered the charcuterie, the pairing were spot on. Have been several times and the staff have always been warm and friendly even when just coming in to fill a growler.

In town for a week scouting it out. Went here because we aren’t beer folks and good Unilocal reviews. Loved it! Cider is on the dry side, but quite good. Mixed drinks are true craft cocktails and that’s an excellent thing — well priced and worth it! Food was pricey, but we split an entrée and still enjoyed our time. Will be back for sure!

My husband enjoys making his own hard cider, so we came here for a date night to check out some of the local ciders. We were greeted right away by a helpful, sweet young lady at the bar. This being our first time, she gave us a helpful description of the various cider selections that are available to help us craft our very own flight. We ended up trying the Stonewall, Wild Rose, Community Apple, Pioneer Perry, and Farm #4. We found seating in the dining area, a nice, hip, and cozy feel to it, and placed an order of the chickpea fries, which came out pretty fast. The chickpea fries were good, almost like if you molded hummus into rectangles and deep fried them. I think hubby would have preferred just a good ol’ basket of regular fries, but he still enjoyed them. Now the ciders: The Stonewall is a good basic hard cider, with a wheat-y aftertaste. It almost tastes like a baked apple pancake. I’d come back for this cider. Wild Rose is a drier cider, you can definitely taste floral notes. My husband said it almost had a salty taste to it, which I couldn’t pick out. The Community Apple is a neat idea, where, if I remember correctly(I might have already had a glass or two of wine at this point…) people in the community will provide their apples and pears to be pressed for hard cider. Almost like the casserole of ciders. This cider was pretty good. The Pioneer Perry is a cider pressed from all pears, and this was my least favorite, almost had a bleach or cleaner taste to it, in my opinion. My husband liked it, though it wasn’t his favorite. The Farm #4 was another great cider, like an apple wine. This was my favorite cider of the ones we tasted, probably because it’s the most similar to my husband’s. All in all, we had a fun night and enjoyed our flight of cider. Great place, friendly service, good food, and good ciders!

I haven’t had this good of food in Eugene in a lonnnnggg time! The menu isn’t big but everything looked so good. We ordered the flatbread, parsnip croquettes starters and the pork belly and cheese entrée. All of the sauces for the flatbread were amazing, I had to keep some of them because I was obsessed, and the croquettes were close to the best thing I’ve ever eaten, you can tell everything is fresh and I love the fact that vegetarian and vegan options are available. Everything was incredible, those chefs really know what they are doing! The cocktails are good, they even made a little bit of a modification for mine which was very sweet of them(the cider list is huge– considering it is a cider house, but I didn’t try any of them.) I’ve been looking for a yummy place like this for a long time– considering the lack of great Eugene food. Also our waitress was such a sweetheart, and very attentive, I’m definitely going back!

My husband is a big cider fan. We have been stopping in here for tastings and growler fills over the last five months or so. We haven’t tried any of their food yet, but the cider is delightful. The taps change along with their stock. They have innovative blends of fruit and a delicious pear cider. The tasting protocol is nice with a lovely serving board for your flight. All the servers have been pleasant and knowledgeable. The space is a bit sparse and cold inside this time of year, but I’m sure it’s great in the summer. It’s a fun change of pace to taste cider instead of wine and beer. This place is absolutely worth a visit or as a date night spot.

What a cool little spot this is in Eugene … Never quite seen anything like it … But isn’t that what makes a lot of Oregon so FABULOUS??? This is the REALDEAL where cider is concerned … All was great except that service was a bit of a goat rodeo. Staff was fabulous, friendly and knew their shit where cider was concerned. Refreshing and enlightening. Loved it.

It has only been a year and some chance since Wildcraft Cider Works touched down in Eugene, and even now still there is nothing like it. In a state where there are plenty of breweries, this unique establishment features an impressive array of craft cider and of course, some incredibly delicious food. This up and coming part of town was once dominated by an industrial scene that still is around today. WCW has managed to transform garage like space into an all-in-one spot which is part cider brewery, part experimental kitchen, and an eatery /restaurant space that gets filled night in and out. The ciders themselves are all local and is served right out of their taproom, which opens at 4pm on weekdays and 3pm on the weekends(closed on Sundays and Mondays). I appreciate the Wild Rose(7.5%ABV), one of their botanical ciders for its rosy notes and smooth finish. I did get a chance to try their seasonal Tart Cherry(6.9% ABV) and was not too fond of it. I’ll take it any day over a terrible beer, but the Blue River Blueberry(6.3% ABV) is a little bit more of my style and ridiculously easy to drink. Instead of figuring out what to drink, just order a Cider & Perry Flight, which will have anywhere from 5 – 7 ciders in mini form for taste. For those not into cider, give their cocktails a try. Their Wild Mule($ 8) is made with Portland Potato Vodka and is quite potent. The same goes for their Hot Shrub Toddy($ 8), their take on a classic drink, except with some local Burnside Bourbon. The Endless Summer($ 9) is also very refreshing and is stuffed with some local kiwi berries which give it a nice kick. Though it may be up for debate, the food might just be better than the cider /cocktails. I’ve been a handful of times and I still haven’t had a bad meal here. The team in the kitchen does an immaculate job in putting together some fantastic dishes, most of which are seasonal, organically sourced, and to the delight of many Oregonians, vegan and gluten free. With sporadic visits, I can always expect to try something new here, which is never a bad thing. Their Chickpea Fries($ 6) are a great way to start. Combined with the cherry perry aioli, one can really taste the cumin that is scented within the garbanzo bean flour. I have no qualms of wolfing up a small helping of their Truffled Mac and Cheese($ 10), which has a nice brioche parmesan crust on top. Their Maple Beef Brochette may feel a bit pricey at $ 15, but the meat is so tender that it alone could be a star on just about any type of bread. Some folks really enjoy the crepes, but the recent addition of Pork Belly & Cheese($ 16) might be the only one that appeals to me. The juiciness of the pork belly, combined with the savory nature of the cheese and onions, make it very hard to turn it down. While the prices have bumped in just a few months time, I can only hope their success translates into a long-term stay in Eugene’s growing dining scene. There is so much beer in this town already, but cider, especially the ones made here, are far too interesting to ignore.

I made the mistake of bringing kids along, there was only fancy goat cheese type items on menu and picky kids didn’t agree. Hubby and I shared the sampler.. Of 10 ciders we only liked 2, and wouldn’t have been intrested in drinking a whole glass. Cider was STRONG tho. Over all we had fun. Waiter was super duper friendly We had the cheese platter and cider sampler and ultimately went somewhere cheaper and with more food choices for dinner. Ciders are seasonal tho.. . Will try again for date night someday

The food is a little on the spendy side, but the drinks are solid!!! You can have a small taste of things at the bar, or get a sampler. They have a lot of different variations and the alcohol content is pretty high as well! It is a fun spot, in an up and coming part of Eugene!

Updated, takeaway; inconsistent. Raw Chicken. Not just undercooked, but pink and translucent. Waitress proceeds to tell us that it’s ok because«it’s not like foster farms, it’s organic and farm raised». Sorry I appreciate good ingredients but Raw Chicken is Raw Chicken, doesn’t matter where it comes from. Zero empathy from the waitress as well. I had to ask her to apologize to us. 2 stars because of the cider 2 weeks ago: Outstanding food and cider. We have ate there a couple times and each time the quality is excellent(food and cider) the brochettes are always a great choice, fresh and good portions. Now the Cider! Excellent variety, all that I have tried(that’s about 8 now) are clean crisp and mostly dry. They also have some more complex choices like whiskey barrel aged and hopped. Definitely not your sweet basic ciders.

This is quickly becoming a new favorite place to have a classy night out with friends. Good ambiance, better food and wonderful ciders and spirits on the menu make for good memories. The menu includes gluten free options and the service staff are always happy to check to see if a standard menu item can be made gluten free by the kitchen. That said, if you want breath that will entice any gourmand within ten feet of you, try the truffle mac ‘n’ cheese. It is so amazing and I couldn’t help but share it with a friend who loves truffles and«wasn’t hungry». As for the booze, there’s a lot of things I love when I’m here: spruce tip cider, rose cider, licorice fern cider, ginger beer and iris root liqueur are among my favorites these days. The only thing that I could hope to change is me not showing up when all the night trains are passing through, but the view of them passing by is wonderful if a bit loud.

Located in a brick building, parking is off street but it is easy to find. They have an amazing cider selection and though there are not a lot of food to choose from, it’s delicious! Try their lamb, mac & cheese… and of course don’t forget the cider! Cute location. The train comes by once in awhile and it is pretty loud, but this is what makes this place so unique and cool!

First time to Eugene on the way to Portland from my west coast road trip from SD and was so happy to randomly stop by Wildcraft. They have very natural tasting, yet not too overwhelming cider flavors that were very unique and go great with the incredibly fresh food there and on its own. — well worth doing flight of 10. — Favs: Rose, lilac, spruce, and licorice — Lamb: flavorful and soft + fresh soft bread — salmon crêpe = delicious! With such great food and drinks, I wish they would open up in San Diego, so I can go again and again.

It was insanely hot outside, and my husband and I were looking for a place to eat good food, have a drink, and keep cool. The other reviews on Unilocal have made me want to try this place, so we wandered over. The setting is bright and comfortable, and tho it was smaller than we thought it would be, it felt cozy rather than cramped. They don’t have seating for those who wait, but the cider bar is just inside the front doors and there is a counter to stand by while you wait. We waited half an hour, but we were enjoying the AC so we didn’t mind. While we waited, we enjoyed a glass of cider from the bar located just inside the doors. They have eight types of cider on tap, and quite a nice variety. I had the aptly named Tart Cherry cider, which was delightful if you like very tart things(which I do). The menu is small, but what they offer is delicious! We ordered the appetizer special(something resembling falafel) and crepes(the salmon and the veggie). We were both very impressed with the quality and quantity of food. We both had half a crêpe left for breakfast the next morning. Service was attentive and pleasant. The bill wasn’t too steep for all that we ordered. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and I would go back even on a cold day.

Wildcraft Cider Works is a great addition to the food scene. Not only do they have nice selections of ciders, the food is also quite good and different than what any other spot in Eugene offers. DLW and I checked it out for dinner on a Saturday. It’s housed in a cute reclaimed building neat the railroad tracks. You enter right next to the cider taps, where there were ten offerings: apple juice, four kinds of apple cider, four pear ciders, and one plum. We got a sampler of the plum and all of the pear ciders. Usually cider is too sweet for my taste, but all of the ones we tried were quite dry, slightly fizzy and much to my liking. DLW liked the elderberry version best, but I liked the straight-up pear. The menu is pretty short, but that is a plus in my view. Too often new places take on too much and end up doing nothing very well. They also had daily specials which attracted our attention. We jumped at foie gras with shaved black truffles and a couple of fruit sauces, and were very happy with the result. How can you not be happy with this fatty, funky, fruity dish? We also got mussels and seared duck breast as entrees. For reasons I can’t fathom duck is hard to come by in Eugene restaurants(maybe Ducks fans reject it out of loyalty?) but it is delicious here, cooked to a proper medium rare and served with carrots and bacon. The dining room seats about 40. Service was friendly and almost shockingly professional. We eat out a lot in Eugene, and we’ve experienced some spacey and downright incompetent service. To get servers who know the menu and make an effort to engage customers is uncommon enough that it’s remarkable. It’s not a cheap night out, but well worth it.
