The Stereo Store!

Good place and selections, kinda pricy, didn’t feel welcomed at all. They were short with my questions maybe because I came in an hour before closing but I wouldn’t come back.

I received a car stereo system as a gift and needed to find a place to have it installed. I checked into the Stereo Store and am so glad I did! Allen, the manager, was great to do business with and did not have a long wait for the installation. Will do business with them from now on!

I am a picky person when it comes to my car and the work that goes into it. I have high expectations when it comes to equipment and sound quality.
I have worked with Allen, the manager, for the last two years completing various installations from stereo upgrades to back up cameras. Every single time I have had a job done by him, it was always the highest quality with no flaws whatsoever.
What makes this business great is that any time there is a problem, they are more than willing to fix it and tailor the solution towards the customer (instead of the company like most do).
The Stereo Store! Is a great place to get any work you want done and I highly recommend it!

This store is awesome I went in bought an amp, kenwood deck and all the other stuff to install my subs Shane was very helpful gave me a great price due to me getting laid off and even though I had a friend install it all for me I took it down the next day and he helped me to adjust everything to get it sounding good free of charge I will and am going back to upgrade some things my experience here was great and would recommend this store to anyone looking to pimp there ride

I am very particular about my car and very careful when it comes to allowing people to work on it.
I met with Allen and the installer at The Stereo Store to discuss a complete replacement of the factory HK stereo system. Allen did a nice job explaining the differences between head units, amplifiers and speakers and how the system would sound in my car.
After doing some independent internet comparisons and research, I chose a Rockford Fosgate amplifier and speakers along with an Alpine head unit at The Stereo Store, their prices were a little bit higher than the online stores; but I was able to operate and listen to the systems in their demonstration room which made the decision on just which components and speakers to buy easier, so paying a little more was well worth it.
The system sounds terrific. This past weekend I opened up the panels to verify their installation work and it is first rate. All of the connectors are tight, all of the wires are routed properly and protected in plastic conduit. Everything is mounted correctly and the entire system is buttoned up properly.
Obviously, I highly recommend The Stereo Store.

I loved my experience with the Stereo Store. The customer service we received from Christian, was second to none. He is kind, very knowledgeable, and worked until the job was complete. He even came to our home after work to help us with an «emergency». He discovered we had a bad HDMI cable and got us up and running properly so we would have no hiccups for the U of O Ducks championship game! The whole staff was always kind and professional to me whenever I called or visited. They even answer the phone without an automated system! I can’t say enough good words about the terrific staff at the West 7^th Stereo Store location. Thanks for a great experience!

Outstanding store! Hubby and I popped in on a whim about an hour and half before closing. We have an older car, 1992 Ford Crown Vic. We new the radio in the car was failing, but was not 100% it was the antennae. The hard part came trying to find a radio that didn’t look totally out of place.
Well enter Shane. He showed us a plethora of radios available, but made sure to help us pick A) one that would suit the car in looks and B) Wasn’t priced outrageous.
We also explained that we weren’t sure about it being a bad radio vs antennae. He suggested let them to a test on the antennae and then we’d know for sure. If it was the radio we asked if they could install it that day, since we live so far away. He said they certainly could.
So we headed down the street to get a bite to eat and 10 minutes later they called to let us know it was, in fact, the radio that was bad. 45 minutes after that we’re called and the new radio is in and working great.
It was such a pleasure working the folks here. Their work was clean, tidy and the new radio looks great! They even helped program the colors to match the older green color display on our car.
Will definitely use them again and recommend them to others!

I needed to replace my back speaker, so I did some research and checked with all local speaker installation businesses in Eugene.
The Stereo Store was by far the most expensive. They didn’t look what kind of speaker I had, like the other places did, but they tried to sell me a bunch of stuff I didn’t need. Their estimate was double the price of estimates from multiple other businesses.
My experience was further ruined by one of the employees, who talked to me like I was an idiot. While I am not knowledgeable in car speaker systems, I didn’t appreciate being talked to like that.

Went in yesterday to troubleshoot a Kenwood head unit which came with a used car I’d just purchased. Assistant Manager Shane (I think that was his name) talked through what I was observing, and went out to my car to take a look. He advised me to check a series of fuses (other than the ‘radio’ fuse), and then told me how to pull this unit to go over the wiring. He showed me some Kenwood options which would swap if mine was defective.
I took it home, tinkered with it per his advice, and actually got it working (bad connection in wiring harness clasp to head unit). And better yet, it turns out that the stereo already has the options I wanted (USB & aux in) — the previous installer had just hidden the wires because he/​she wasn’t using them.
So, needless to say, I didn’t end up purchasing anything from The Stereo Store, but Shane’s service was excellent.
I compared the units he’d shown me to online prices, and they were all within a few dollars. I *WILL* go back there for my next car audio purchase.

I’ve had two decks installed by these guys through the years. Overall they are very fair and even swapped one out for me for free 7 days after I bought it when I decided I wanted a different set of features. Customer service is great, I took off one star because you can find the same equipment they sell almost anywhere online for much cheaper.

I have been using The Stereo Store for all of my vehicles for over 9 years.

The only reason I’m giving that high of a rating is because of the great service when purchasing a stereo. They gave wrong information on what is compatible during all 5 separate discussions about the stereo. When we wanted to return it due to not being able to use all the features that they assured us we could use then they were pretty snotty and relied on shady verbiage such as «its compatable with parts of the stereo but not all features, so its still compatable» to back their refusal to refund. Did come to a return agreement eventually which meant we would have to eat $ 75. By then there was concern there would be damage to the car not to mention the rediculous threat about the refund money taking a month or more to be returned, like that would make a difference. Unprofessional.

I wanted to update my car to make it more modern instead of buying a new one and having monthly payments and I heard from a friend to go talk to Shane at the stereo store and we talked about of a lot of options but in the end we went with a new security system with new automatic locks and new stereo and speakers etc etc. Very happy with the end result and they worked FAST to get it done for me. Everyone I’ve talked to at the store is awesome.

They do have a good selection and semi reasonable prices, ill give them that. But customer service was iffy. I bought some spacers and a deck cage I needed for an install, and they didn’t give me a receipt. When I got home, I realized that both spacers were broken already, but still usable. Pretty frustrating, especially when I wasn’t given a receipt. I didn’t think anything of it at first. So i called back a day later to get some quotes on some new 6×9’s and the install on the spacers, and they quoted $ 115 which is kind of reasonable, considering it takes 20 mins tops, I just don’t have the tools to do it. But then I called back a couple days later to find out how much it would be to install the spacers and some 6×9’s i received as a gift. The installers denied the job and the salesman told me there was nothing they could do. They couldn’t install something that they sold. I have never seen another stereo store do that before. Buyer beware.

I had them install a lower end head unit into my convertible and they did an excellent job. Quick, helpful, and priced as promised.
Later on, I bought a Mercedes that had the stereo go out. I wanted to replace it with a unit that looked OEM, but they didn’t have one. So I went back home and ordered one that happened to be Chinese.
The directions were horrible and I knew I shouldn’t attempt the install. So I went back over there and they installed it for me. No hassles, quickly, and priced as promised. They were able to bypass the fiber optics of the system and even made it work with my steering wheel controls. It behaves just like a stock stereo does but with the extra features of new.
The prices were a tad high, but in the end I was glad I went there. I’d still have my dash apart trying to figure out all of the stuff.
I partly expected a «you bought this somewhere else we can’t guarantee anything», but they were professional and did it right.

Buyer beware! I went here looking for a new subwoofer. They had a «2 for 1» deal. I paid $ 130. Turns out the same exact model can be had brand new online for $ 65 or less. Complete rip off and false advertising. Stay away.
