The UPS Store

This store has the worst customer service that I have ever encountered. The man behind the counter was the rudest person. It was as if he went out of his way to be as unhelpful and unkind as possible. This is the second time he has been behind the counter when I went in to have a package shipped and he was rude then as well. I thought then that he was just having a bad day, now I know it is just his personality. I will take my business elsewhere and tell others to do the same.

The guy with the turquoise clown hair helped me get a package sent in the safest, cheapest, most expedient way possible. Most excellent. See the turquoise clown hair guy for the best UPS service ever. (I am not even kidding!)

Not impressed. I shipped my niece’s birthday gift to this address, where my sister in law has a box. I received confirmation that the box had been delivered, yet when she arrived to pick it up it wasn’t there. She went back twice, even with a copy of the label and delivery confirmation email I sent to her. Still no box. Finally, I called to discuss and the guy who answered said the box was right there. Turns out they had filed it under my return address box number and not my sister in law’s! Completely unacceptable. I understand a mistake but not to do the due diligence…

Patty is the best! She goes out of her way for her customers. I had a problem with sending something overnight and ended up needing to cancel it and re-​send it a different route (ground). She completely took care of it and was cheerful in doing so. Plus it’s in our «little nook of the woods». I appreciate having such great customer service from Patty.

I don’t really dislike the UPS Store, and I’m not pissed off I had to wait 15 minutes to drop off my rent check. I’m just trying to make sense of what happened this morning. Maybe putting it into words will help…
A 70 year old woman was mailing a sword and trying to figure out the perfect insurance plan and packing materials.
A 50 year old woman was yelling at the top of her lungs, to herself mind you, that the copy machine wasn’t doing what it was supposed to be doing. «Wah, these copies are double sided, I don’t want double sided copies, I need some help!»
A 25 year old front desk attendant couldn’t believe the madness. She was doing the best she could as the only staff member at UPS Clinic for the Mentally Unstable to keep things from unraveling.
I just sipped my coffee and took it all in. What an experience.

Last Pickup: 4:45pm
I have used this location several times for international shipping (significantly cheaper rates for the US and Canada than FedEx). Each time they have been very helpful and advised me of how to correctly fill out the customs forums for shipping gifts abroad (very helpful compared to FedEx). They have also been especially helpful in packaging my items (sometimes very fragile) and ensuring I can get the cheapest rate possible.
My only real complaint with this location is that at times they need an extra person working the counter. The last time I was here there was a significant delay (partially my fault dealing with customs forums). There was only one person working there that evening and while she was very quick processing my order and helping other people in line, she really needed another person to help with the amount of people coming through the door. Otherwise they are very quick.
I also have a slight issue with UPS (the shipping side and not affecting my rating). I never seem to have a package shipped through UPS that is not scared by the process (dents and tears in the box). While I have never had an item damaged (and I have not always packaged them the best), it does worry me when i am shipping something fragile. My main advice when shipping through UPS is to ensure you have everything packaged very carefully and if you are shipping a gift to Canada ensure it is marked as a gift to avoid duty and taxes on packages under $ 60 of value.
