Overall atmosphere was pretty good. My friend and I had the taquita plate and was ok. The refried beans had a strange taste. When asked said they used garlick as one ingredient. If so it was a taste we couldn’t get down. But the most disappointing thing was advertising the best margaritas in town and they didn’t have them ready. This was an hour after they opened.

It was 730pm and I was told the kitchen was already closed. Needless to say there isn’t a review. Granted it was a Thursday night but still. There were folks eating in the restaurant and there was no indication at the entrance they were closed. Food was good last time we are here but maybe call ahead of not the weekend.

This place is terrible. Food came out cold and we waited over 2 hrs. The owner said point blank we make enough we don’t care how your food came out. Cold or not you have to pay. The food was over seasoned and EXTREMELY overpriced. This place has gone so far downhill. Literally. What a dump. Sad to think an owner of a business’s doesn’t care about it.

STAYAWAY!!! STAYAWAY!!! The absolutely worst dining experience in my life… Let me start off by saying two things I can’t judge the food because I was only there for less than 10 minute. OK here we go… First of all I don’t review very many restaurants but I felt the need to share my experience at this restaurant. OK we are seated I take a phone call, I am talking on my cell phone when the waiter comes to the table. I then take my cell phone and set it down and I asked the waiter «what do you recommend» The waiter then replies I recommend you look at the menu… OMGLOL, I paused, and looked at my wife because I thought he was joking. The waiter never cracked A smile never said anything, then he said open the menu so I open the menu, then he proceeded to point at all the highlighted items on the menu, I then asked him how their quesadillas were, HETHENSAID«there just quesadillas». OMG, I thought I was on candid camera or something, I can believe this was happening. We decided to get up and leave I went to look for someone to pay for the one beer that we had I wife took one drink of, once I found a waiter I ask him if I could speak with a manager before I left, he then pointed under the table at a man sitting there 2 feet from us. I walked over and asked that man are you a manager he stood up never looked at me as he walked away he said no… I then asked the guy taken my money, I thought you said he was the manager and he answered(under his breath) and said no he’s the owner. The guy was like scared to tell me who this man was… I can’t believe this was happening this fat piece of shit did not have the balls enough to even ask me what happen he sit there and listen to everything I said and never even commented or ask me what happened.(THISWASOWNER) The only thing I can assume is the rude waiter had already said something to him. (sorry for my language I have never ever ever had anything like this happen before it ruined or day and I’m not even sure we will even come back to Eureka for awhile) If I could give negative stars I would. Too bad I didn’t get to try the food… :)

Place was just ok very tourist trap price wise, I ordered the ultimate fajitas. For 18.95 for shrimp chicken and beef thought I would get A LOT more. Then we also ordered the stuffed avocado. Also for 20.00 dollars thought would get more food and the shrimp that came on it you could tell from being on the plate were frozen. My absolute biggest problem with this place was the way you had to pay. They use the square thing for the iPhone to pay and when it went to paying for it the waiter/waitress then goes ok well how much of a tip would you like to give me is pretty much the way I feel it is set up. Now if the manager had come around and done the paying that would be different cause if I didn’t want to tip I could tell him. And also the lowest tip choice was 18%

I am a local and I LOVE this place. Always a highlight for first timers. The food is great and so is the setting and ambiance. We are a tourist town and sometimes we get hit hard, that’s the only reason I can come up with for the folks that had a less than perfect visit.

We ate here a year ago. We are at a motorcycle rally. While most folks want burgers and pizza, we knew this place had something that can’t be missed. Chiles en Nogada. I can tell you. the sauces don’t smother the proteins. they enhance them. The portions are good sized… the chips warm, the salsa tasty, the tableside Guacamole wonderful… the Mojito tasty and the beer cold! This is not Tex Mex. and for that I am happy! We sat outside, in June. The high today was 85°.the patio was comfortable. and NOT buggy! We will be back. for sure!

The better half an I were looking for a quaint lunch… found this on Unilocal and decided to give it a try since they had open parking at 1pm on a Saturday. Ordered top shelf and premium Margaritas… Damn they were good! On the deck, Sunny and 75 degrees, it was just what we needed. We ordered Cajun crab cakes with shrimp and pasta garish. Very well done and flavorful! Also got a chicken grilled specialty with rice. — chicken was well cooked, but not dry. Ordered the sauce sampler b/c I’m a sauce freak and enjoy copying good ones. The tomato based house salsa lacked flavor, but the sweeter green sauce had hope. The chipotle fire sauce was my favorite. Good pepper favors and great /fresh chips. Nothing bought at Sam’s Club and reheated. Kitchen was a bit slow, but they got quite a few people just as we entered. Their clocks in this area all run 75 minute hours, so relax and take your foot off the gas for awhile. Server was very friendly and gladly got a 20% gratuity, but the Margaritas also greatly helped everything be all good! Not immediately downtown, but convenient parking going in or out of Eureka Springs. Great atmosphere. Go try it Unilocalers.

I’ve read the low star reviews and can only think that either things got better or we were there at a quiet time. Or service was wonderful, the margaritas delicious, the patio and natural spring delightful and our dinners were some of the best Mexican food I’ve had. The poblano in the Chiles de Nogada were roasted to perfection, the pork juicy and the mole sauce WS the BEST I’ve ever eaten in my life. True Mexican food, not Tex-Mex. we were so pleased.

We were looking for a patio atmosphere while we were driving around downtown Eureka. We saw this place and thought, margaritas! Why not right? Nice try, Jan. We arrived to an older gentlemen playing a mandolin with a choir of peep frogs from the decorative pool/natural spring running out the side of the hill the establishment was built upon. Nice touch right? Nice try, Jan. We were seated in the patio, and ordered our waters, margaritas, and queso with chorizo. Cheese dip arrived sans chorizo. «Oh hey, this is supposed to have chorizo in it.» Proceeds to leave queso on table and 10 minutes later brings little bowl of chorizo and dumps it in half eaten queso then spent 5 minutes apologizing. The tacos were dry. The margaritas left us irritatingly sober, which was unfortunate after the weird service and incessantly apologetic waiter who all but told us «You’re gonna have a bad time, y’all», when he seated us I’m the beginning. Waiter didn’t charge us for the tacos, but then proceeded to offer to buy us ANOTHER pitcher of margaritas«for all of the trouble». Every time he came to the table he apologized and thanked us for our patience. Nice try, Jan.

First, I know that this restaurant has recently gone bankrupt and is going by another name even though they still have old signs up of Casa Colina. Horrible service and very unprofessional. Food was taking longer the 30 minutes when they finally came and told us that the food was on its way and the tray fell on the floor. We offered to pay our drinks and left to the next taco place down the road which was much better. Do not go to Casa Colina or whatever it is called now unless you have an extra hour to wait for your food and drinks. Will not be coming back.

Went to eat here while on vacation but never actually made it to a table, I made a reservation for 6pm, arrived 10 minutes before 6, waited around until past 6, rude host man told me he could not seat us then & we would have to wait,(not apologetic at all, would’ve been nice if you showed some concern or cared) another party showed up that had reservations & rude host man said he didn’t have their reservation written down & they had to wait as well, was not apologetic & gave a very snooty attitude, terrible customer service, I really can’t deal with that kind of attitude when I’m going to frequent your business & give you my money SO after waiting 15 minutes past my reservation time & still not being seated we jetted out of there… btw beware of parking lot, you better drive a Smart car to fit in there:-X

Casa Colina is a quaint little Mexican joint when you first enter downtown Eureka Springs. My husband and I have ate here every year since we got married 6 years ago. The day we got married, this place was one of the few that was open(in middle January), so we dubbed it «our place». This year on our annual visit, we both commented just how downhill it went. The food was plated and presented nicely, but the quality was nothing short of canned or shelved food. I decided to try the«CocoRita» drink and unfortunately it tasted like coconut juice on ice. Isn’t there supposed to be tequila in anything ‘Rita? The staff had some negative comments to say about other guests, which was disturbing and the male host/owner drank the whole time we were there. Just seemed unprofessional to me. Oh and the parking? Might as well forget it unless you are okay with parking a half mile away and walking. We have decided that Casa Colina will be skipped next time we come to Eureka Springs. There are more dining places with radiant reviews that would be more worth our time. In a nutshell, it’s sad having to relinquish«our place».

Very good Mexican food. Great atmosphere, you can dine outside or inside. Our waiter, Larry, was very friendly and helpful. He came around often to check on us, refilled our water glasses, and brought more chips and salsa. The food is prepared fresh and the portion was very filling. When it’s busy parking is a little tight.

I had high hopes based on the patio and atmosphere, which was very cool. The restaurant was clean and had a hip feel, however, the main dining room was awkward and cramped… small place. The patio is big and inviting with a great garden and pond. A great place to relax and enjoy a cerveza! The food… average at best. I had chicken enchiladas which were unremarkable. Black beans and rice were straight out of a can and a box, neither of which I finished. Plate presentations were really really pretty… I wish as much effort had gone into the flavor. My wife had the fish tacos… Her feeling about her dinner was pretty much the same as mine above. We really miss the old Center Street South restaurant…

— Tasty Mexican food — the service was off. We had our appetizers served with our meal and our margaritas served near the end of the meal. — waiter went on and on about how much care they give to making sure food does not get mixed up, but my wife’s order had chicken added to her steak fajitas. Huh? — bartender was working really hard and knew her stuff… But the drinks were really really weak. One shot added to a full blender of mix. Save your money and just order water. — we only had a 15 minute wait for our table. Not too bad for a busy night. — restrooms were a wreck. No soap, towels everywhere on the floor, and the locks did not work on the door. OMG — would I recommend this place? It was great 3 years ago but the quality was not here on this visit. I would say, take a pass on this restaurant.

Alright so atmosphere awesome! But if you want any choice in seating in any of the open tables. Fo geta bout it. Hostess was a royal batch. I was dumb founded and still don’t understand. She sat couples before and right after us in tables I wanted. Killed my mood. So fajitas for two a complete rip off very small portions! Beans and rice, completely bland. Here’s the thing maybe were picky. We eat and cook Mexican food, well all the time. So we could be horribly bias. Not sure. But the hostess killed the place… will never go back.

I absolutely loved the atmosphere of this place and the food and wait staff made it so much better. The food was very colorful and had an amazing taste to match. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who travels to Eureka Springs.
