Get anything — you’ll want more, more, MORE!!! I let the barista choose my drink for me, and I’ll never again think of thinking for myself here, HA! I just told her super strong, real sugar and hot. She worked magic! It was so good, I sought out the owner(who turned out to be the cashier! It’s so good to see an owner not in an office or absent from her business!!) to thank her for the food, the drink and the staff! She has created a truly unique stand-out business in a town full of unique, stand-out places!

First time in Eureka and first place to eat while there. Totally enjoyed it… I had the Greek omelette with grits and my boyfriend had the Mexican omelette with grits… very satisfied. Love the self-serve option for coffee… brilliant.(As I used to waitress in a place like this and filling coffee cups takes so much of a waitresses time.) They have four roasts on the counter to choose from. The food came out fairly quickly, especially seeing how busy they were. Waitress was knowledgeable and professional. Out water glasses were filled timely and the food came out piping hot. Location is perfect if you’re downtown walking… it’s underground and has a very colorful, artsy vibe. Prices were great… omelette was $ 8.95 and unlimited coffee $ 2. I saw pastries on the bar that looked fabulous… just didn’t order any. My sister had a white chocolate espresso and said it was perfect. We”ll most definitely come back here next time we’re in Eureka Springs.

We have been here twice, and have been thoroughly impressed both times. Awesome set up. You have to go down the stores from the entrance off of Main St and you feel like you are stepping into the Eureka Underground. Original rock walls still in place. Super cozy ambiance and décor. Great coffee bar. Food is excellent. The soup is a favorite and always from scratch. So tasty! Very reasonably priced, too! We always stop in when we visit Eureka.

Husband and I are visiting Eureka Springs for my birthday weekend. While out walking around Downtown we stopped in Mud Street Café for lunch. The atmosphere and ambience are great. The wait staff is friendly and helpful with the menu. My husband ordered the Cajun burger and thought it great and flavorful. I ordered the avocado and cheese add bacon. I thought it not so great :(The ingredients were very fresh but it basically was texture in my mouth with no flavor. I will, however, give them a second chance. The quiche looked amazing and the desserts are decadent!

$$$$$$. Did lunch w/spouse. Food was very good. 1. Special quiche 2. Ruben. 3. Pie All was as good as just about any deli I’ve eat at. Nothing special, but no complaints about quantity or taste. Service was excellent. In addition to the above 2 soft drinks. My only issue is it was over priced. Almost $ 6 for 2 soft drinks and our bill was over $ 40. Eureka Springs is a nice place however prices like this will have us shopping elsewhere.

The most comfortable seat in the house is the couch. Only room for two though. The veggie grits were tasty with plenty of veggies. Self serve coffee is a great idea if you drink more than a cup or two.

Loved our breakfast here. I just wish they would’ve been open the other days of our trip(we were there Monday through Friday morning) so we could’ve enjoyed again. When we come back to Eureka we make sure Mud Street Café is on our list.

Saw it on Unilocal and thought we would try it because we’ve never been led wrong with Unilocal! It was AAHHHMMAAZZING!!! Best Rueben I’ve ever eaten and the chef salad was fresh and Delish! Def a place to eat! I quite enjoyed the ‘help yourself ’ coffee and even had ‘to go’ cups!

Grits… phenom! Omelette was so-so only because the spinach was not sautéed…which was a bit risky, probably catering to the fresh organic hipster. Wait for it… the Muddy Mary’s were upgraded from Popov to Titos(Popov for a well, is well… sophomoric)…and the result – excellent! Ambiance is brilliant… speak easy like. By far though and hands down, the chocolate raspberry cheesecake was the best dang cheesecake I have EVER tasted. Light as a feather, supremely creamy and sang to me as I tried to finish the huge piece I was served.

We stayed in Eureka for 3 nights. We went to Mud Street on the first morning, and we ended up going back on the two following mornings as well. So that should tell you what we thought of it. My wife and I both ordered specialty lattes the first morning, and it was really a mistake to order food to go along with it. They are massive and very tasty, just try not to think about healthiness when drinking them. We ordered the self serve coffees on the two following visits, and we were very impressed with the brews that they had to offer. Great service and a very neat underground setting.

I really liked my breakfast croissant sandwich, but I’m not sure it was worth $ 10($ 8 without bacon), and my husband and I agreed that we prefer a sunny patio or window over the dark, cluttered, basement atmosphere for starting our day. We did go back the next day for some pie, which we took to go — I got the chocolate truffle cream pie, and my husband got the peanut butter cream pie. They were both DELICIOUS(the peanut butter was my favorite), but eating a whole piece of that pie was a MISTAKE… the food coma lasted from noon till bedtime. The pie is yummy, but I definitely recommend sharing a piece! One more thing — if you order any kind of flavored latte, be prepared for it to come in a twice-than-normal-sized mug with a mountain of whipped cream as big as your face… and order it «light» on the syrup if you aren’t a fan of overly-sweet coffee drinks. Oh yeah, and they will not seat you unless everyone in your party is present, so be aware of that as well.

My husband asked one of the hotel staff where he likes to eat breakfast and he recommended this place. We ordered the following items: 1. Veggies Grits 2. Blueberry pancake 3. Egg and veggies Burrito 4. Banana muffin 5. Coffee 6. Hot Chocolate I like the veggies grits and the banana muffin, but I didn’t really care for the pancake. The coffee, I thought, was really good. It was so smooth that I didn’t have to add sugar like I normally would. I didn’t try the burrito nor the hot chocolate, but my son liked them. I like that they used plenty of veggies in the dishes. Service was very good.

This place is ok and definitely overhyped. It is ok. With some regards it is even good, such as their coffee. But the quality is definitely not enough to attract all the acclaim it has. Waiting times are pretty much insane, the menu is the same as for any breakfast joint around the country. The quality of food is good, but is nowhere near other fine dining places around Eureka Springs and nowhere near justifying outrageous prices(3 $ your standard reheated industrial croissant) and waiting time(1h — from entering through the door to getting the order through). All in all — to be avoided, especially if you are expecting something extraordinary(like many other places in Eureka Springs are)
