We ended up returning to this restaurant in 2015 after having a bad experience with subpar food in 2014. They had completely revamped the menu and remodeled. Food was great! Service was great! Definitely stop by and try them out if you are in the area. Nothing but great things to say about the place. Will be returning soon this year on vacation.

Great place! My new husband and I are in town on our honeymoon and we wanted to try something local. He had the sirloin which was incredible, I had the grilled shrimp with wild rice which was very flavorful and light! We each had a Saddlebock Dirty Blonde on tap and loved it. We will definitely be making another stop before we go home! Service was excellent and friendly. Made us feel right at home.

Waitress was awesome. Me and my husband had the prime rib special and it was great.
Will be coming back again on trips to eureka.

I have nothing good to say about this restaurant. It was a total disappointment. No one to seat you for several minutes, although, no other customers. Food was less than good and prices were high. I asked for a baked potato, and received two small ones that were half baked, and barely warm. Never again. Save your food dollars, and continue into town.

Found it odd that $ 2.09 beverage was added/​hidden to our tab, that was never ordered, as well as to the couple at our table. I’m guessing on a busy BBB weekend, a scam like that could take in tons of money, if you aren’t mindful. Never going back, nothing worse than crooks trying to pull a fast one on its customers.

Food was average at best. I think we ordered the wrong things. This place is known as a hang-​out type bar and usually a burger or nachos are the thing to order in that type of place. It was a Monday night and not much was open. Weekends are probably a better time to try this one.

Excellent! We had the pulled pork and a tortilla burger and they were both excellent. The people were very nice.

This place truely sucks. The food was horrible. Under cooked. Party of 18 and 8 meals went back to kitchen. Came back even worse. Under cooked grilled cheese sandwich, was like peice of toast with slice of kraft in between. Used heal of bread, really. Under cooked fried chicken, Hamburger and cold baked potato’s. Offered 25% off. Settled for 50% off. Still over paid. WAITRESS COULDN’t apologize enough. Stay away if care about health.

My first visit to Eureka Springs and this was my introduction to local food. It was not the worse food I have eaten but it could have been better. There are three entrances, on for the bar, one for the store and one for the restaurant. Signs are posted but you do need to look for them. Once we figured out how to get in we had to go looking for someone to seat us. (it was posted, wait for waitress to seat you) We were finally seated and offered drinks. We ordered fried green beans for an appetizer, they arrived lukewarm in a basket with ranch dressing. My sister ordered a chicken dish and I ordered their «famous» bourbon steak. When our meals arrived the food was warm, the baked potato was not hot enough to melt the butter patty. The chicken was tough and not eatable, my steak was well done (as requested) but a little on the dry side. We had to request condiments they were not offered. We should have read the Unilocal reviews before stopping here. We won’t be making that mistake again!!! I do not recommend stopping here unless you are desperate and just can’t wait to get back into town.

Cute and casual. Best part are the T shirts you can buy. Typical lunch menu with hamburgers sandwiches and salads. Had the Ruben which was heavy on the meat and salty. Staff was friendly, service was ok

Only order the back page menu, all burgers and sandwiches that our motorcycle club ordered turned out as good standard fair. Anything off the dinner menu was like getting stuff from the freezer and tiny portions. Good burgers and sandwiches will satisfy, if you dare to venture from that, you have been warned!

Steaks are pre cooked earlier that day, or possibly previous day. Steak came room temp, yuck. As soon as I checked the steak, I put my finger in Potato, also room temp, not hot enough to melt the fake butter they brought. Would not eat there.

Subpar Mac & Cheese. Crisp, delicious Bud Light. Little bit of local flavor. Good service in the bar area. Had the appropriate sports offerings playing (Ie Cardinal baseball & golf).
The fella that said «exactly what you thought it would be» is spot on. Don’t expect to many youngsters.

Went here on Valentine’s Day and Mardi Gras weekend for the advertised special with a party of 8. We called ahead at 5:15 said they did not take reservations but they could accommodate us if we arrived soon. So we left hotel asap to beat the dinner rush. We arrived at 5:30 pm. Checked in at the hostess desk which was not staffed. After a 10 minute wait of no hostess, my husband walked over to the bar area which was serving the full menu and had several empty bar tables. It was maybe at 20%. I crossed my own name off at the hostess table that had finally come back to his station 5 minutes earlier. 15 minutes of no hostess.
Finally at 5:50 we sat down in the bar at a table for 8. We were greeted nicely and ordered drinks. Alcoholic/​Soda Drinks came out within 10 mins and we ordered our food. At exactly 6:03 we ordered our food (for the first time.) I know this because we had texted a few friends where we were and they later joined at a separate table.
My husband and I ordered the Prime Rib Advertised Special, loaded baked potato and 2 salads. Others at our table ordered the Prime Rib, Ribeye, and Chicken Fried Steak. Sides ordered were baked potatoes, salads, and Mac and Cheese. We also ordered appetizers Beaver Balls, Fried Pickles and Potato Skins.
30 mins into our wait for the food. The waitress came out and said they were out of salads??? (Are you kidding me, it’s lettuce) She said give me a few and I’ll be back. 15 minutes later she comes back out and says we are out of all Prime Ribs and the lg Ribeyes??? Now in the process of the 45 minutes waiting to find out what was going on with our food we NEVER COULD GET OUR DRINKS REFILLED??? She brought us a pitcher of water to serve ourselves. I had to go to the front bar ordered 3 Titos vodkas/​mixers and a draft beer. Then I had to go to the front of the restaurant to get 2 Teas and 2 Pepsi’s.
Finally as I am bringing everyone’s drinks back the appetizers came out. She changes everyone’s order to update to the food that they do have left and walks away. No plates, no silverware and no napkins??? The bar gave us 2 napkins for a party of 8 to share. (Not kidding) Tired of waiting I go to the bathroom and get paper towels for us to use.
Finally 1 hr later we have our magical salads served with plastic forks. Still no napkins. After a total of 1 hr 50 minutes later our food appears. Ok so the steaks no one received the correct steak out of 7 of us!!! Not one of us. They were mixed around completely with the wrong sides? And we did NOT change seats or go out of order when ordering. Our waitress did NOT care and never returned. The mashed potatoes were instant, gravy was packaged. Good news chicken was done. Steaks terrible first time in years I used steak sauce but damn I was hungry not to mention wrong steaks served to wrong people. Mac and Cheese literally cold wet noodles with shredded cheese on top that was NOT melted and there was water in the bottom half of the plastic bowl. Loaded baked potatoes how this can be screwed up is beyond me but it was. Potatoes were only ½ done.
I’m not even to the best part yet. They gave us steak knives with plastic forks to eat Steaks with??? Seriously stop laughing yes it’s true. To top it off our lovely efficient waitress never got us another drink since the first one we ordered, none of us!!!
So here’s my recommendation to the owner.
1. If you advertise a dinner special make sure you have enough or don’t advertise it. Plain and Simple
2. Your cooks need to learn how to prep/​cook your simple food, read an order and apply such order to the correct plate. Not rocket science here.
3. Train your waitresses and be properly staffed for a busy holiday. Call your mom, sister or even friends to come help you. Do NOT have one waitress for the bar that seats over 100+ and working the dining area.
4. If you want someone to wait for your nasty food that is not properly plated with plastic forks. For the love of mankind please serve us alcohol to keep us happy and our minds off of our nagging stomachs.
Our party of 8 comes to Eureka often and have never been treated this poorly anywhere.
So newbies save your time, money and energy and go somewhere else. This is NOT a good place for their dinner specials or a sit down dinner with friends/​family.
On a plus side I tried the new McDonald’s Deluxe Quarter Pounder and it was better than Rowdy Beavers Mystery Steak I was served.

Ok I don’t usually write a bad review but this is just flat out terrible. My wife is having to wait on us so that the waitress can possibly bring us water and napkins. No food for over 90 minutes. It comes out cold and uncooked. And to top it off it was the wrong steak. The glasses on the table are empty. We’ve had to go to the bar and get our own drinks. We won’t be back ever. And that’s just being polite. I can’t say anything nice right now…

It’s fine to go for drinks but I wouldn’t eat anything there. I’ve tried several things and have always been disappointed. Eat elsewhere, but get drunk here lol

There is no doubt this is a local favorite and since they’re not in the downtown district, they get a lot of traffic. We dined here 2 times in almost 7 years and I’m quickly reminded why it was so long in between.
We were greeted promptly, seated and had drinks within the first 3 minutes of arriving. We started off with some Beaver Balls which were good, but seemed a little over cooked. My husband and I both ordered sandwiches and upgraded to their homemade fries. Lunch was served and all tasted well, but didn’t stand out from any other restaurant.
Where we had issues was with the running mouths of other wait staff. Griping, complaining and mocking other patrons because of requests. And it wasn’t like they were quiet about it. Free advice: if you don’t like you job, find something else. Preferably where you’re not dealing with customers face-​to-​face.
3 stars solely for the timely manner we were served and the temp of our food. That outweighed service by a long shot. Our waitress did not participate in the shenanigans but it’s a small enough area the other waitresses attitudes were effecting the mood.

It’s such a cool bar; it reminds me of a bar in Alaska; trendy, all locals & tourists hang out; the music ranges from country, classic rock, modern rock & even some coffeehouse acoustics play here. The food is okay (I’m not gonna lie~Chicago bars have it goin’ on when it comes to appeasing sinful foodies like me), but it was fun; friendly & along the path of shops to explore. I’m so glad I came

Well we ventured back, to eat dinner this time. We thought they would have live entertainment but the waitress said something happened to the band so it was just a free jukebox tonight. Funny, the sign in the bathroom clearly stated that was the plan all along so she lied. So let me go around the table-​the chicken ranch sandwich was too spicy as if it had buffalo sauce. The 8oz sirloin I ordered medium came out and was paper thin and cooked way too done. The salad bar was less than optimal. The green bean appetizer was too done, almost burnt tasting or in some old grease. My favorite was the chopped steak. It comes out covered in gravy. My friend complained and the waitress only said «sorry». He told her the menu did not say it came with gravy. Later, she confirmed same but yet still didn’t offer to do anything. Sad thing was he said the «gravy» which was the only good part of his whole meal. We’ve decided to call this place the Brown Badger. It was just bad service, no atmosphere, EXTREMELY TOO SMOKY. We won’t be back and won’t be recommending to anyone.
